Thank you so much Jazz! This tour was the best one so far in Japan :) Jazz was extremely insightful and friendly. We learnt so much and had so much fun while doing it. The scenery was stunning and Jazz showed us the quieter more serene side of the mountain! Will remember this day :)

The tour is very exciting and one sees the Fushimi Inari from a completely different perspective. The route is through the forest and is really amazing for those who love nature as well as religious sites. The experience is wonderful but there should be a little note in the advertising that the route is mountainous and a little demanding regarding physical strength, so people are a little prepared for what they are going to meet.

Hikari is an AWESOME guide! We saw all the main Fushimi Inari highlights and her facts/context really added to the whole experience. Highly recommend.

A nice hike through an historical site with two very knowledgeable and friendly guides. Thank you Hina and Saya. The route is about 8km with moderate elevation changes and circumnavigates the popular/busy areas.

Very cool hike through the forest to ancient shrines. Not the main way up so there were a bunch of tourists and it felt like a private experience, so awesome! the guide was so friendly and did an amazing job!

Definitely a magical experience and one we couldn’t do on our own! So nice to take a morning hike through a lush & calm area of Kyoto. It’s about 7km in 3-ish hours to go up, over and around the Fushimi Inari Shrine, starting at Tofukuji Station. We had a little rain and our kombini umbrellas doubled as walking sticks. Some areas are a little steep and agility helps but you can take your time. Our group ranged in age from mid-twenties to 60-ish. Despite the rain it was not too slippery but decent shoes are needed (no sandals). Our guide Hikari was great at keeping the group together while allowing everyone to travel at their own pace, plus she’s an excellent photographer! She taught us a great deal about the area, the shrine, both Shinto and Buddhist religions, the bamboo groves, oh and even some restaurant recommendations! Thank you, Hikari, for one of the highlights of our first trip to Japan!

Naru lead us on an amazing hidden hiking tour of the Fushimi Inari Shrine. It was about an 8km hike up a hidden trail which emerges near the top of the shrine. From there we ascended to the top before coming down to the main entrance. Naru came prepared with a lot of interesting information about the location. I would recommend this tour to anyone in the Kyoto area.

Naru was a really good tour guide! Very informative and explained things very well. The hike was manageable, highly recommended to wear activewear and bring sunnies and maybe a hat as it was quite bright at times. Insect repellent as well if you don’t like bugs. 5/5 will recommend

The hike is absolutely off beat and I suppose the best way to visit the Fushimi Inari shrine. Tammy was a wonderful guide and kept explaining every aspect beautifully. I would recommend this 100%. If you have health issues or are travelling with toddlers / babies, would probably suggest to check before booking.

A very pleasant and interesting trip. Trekking about 7 km into the mountains where there were very few people and very interesting landscapes and photos. Our guide Naru spoke comprehensively and interestingly about local customs and culture.

Naru is extremely knowledgeable and the best photographer! I wouldn’t get photos if it was for his skills. We had the trails to ourselves and if you like nature, this is the tour for you. Thank you Naru for a great day. Your Colorado, USA friend.

The tour with our tour guide Tammy was amazing, informativ and fun! Tammy is a very friendly person. We got answers to all our questions and had a nice conversation with her. The walking path was very beautiful and most of the time quiet in the forest. It is recommended to wear closed shoes and long clothes for the walk in the forest.

Tammy and Saya were amazing guides and we had a lot of fun on this hike. We were able to see areas we would never have explored on our own and escape the crowds. As expected, the hike can be tough at times with steep elevation changes and steps, so make sure you wear comfortable shoes/clothing. Highly recommend this hike if you like to explore!
