Great way of seeing the main sites of York when on a time limit. Instructions are very clear and the game is easy to use. Really enjoyed solving the clues and learning some of the history.

Great fun and a fantastic way to see York and navigate the city, took in a few shops and pubs on route. Kept the kids occupied (17 and 11). Highly recommend.

While this was not our first treasure hunt, we still get a thrill when we find a clue. It's fun when people are crowding to see some super popular sight and you just walk by to the side to discover at a little sign/ sculpture/ picture that is your clue and gives you more insight as to what you're looking at. It feels like an adventure every time.

We went as a group of 4 adults and 5 children ages 6-11. The route was fun and engaging and really easy to follow. We got to see many of the main sites in York and we all had an amazing day. The variety of snickleways helped to make it feel like a real adventure. Thank you!!

Brilliant app, great clues and a super way to get a look around York. I 100% recommend, the clues were simple yet complex enough for my 8 year old to help. There are other free hunts around the city (like the black cats) but they aren’t tied to landmarks in the same way. Would be better if each solved clue unlocked some audio file or facts about where you were too.

We really enjoyed the Treasure Hunt - York. The Whatsapp format works really well. The previous day we had taken one of the mobile phone audio tours and the Treasure Hunt supplemented this really well as it took us down other side roads and "snerkle ways" not covered. The knowledge that we had gained from the audio tour did not spoil any of the Treasure Hunt. We would recommend that you do both, in the order that we did. The one minor irritation with the Treasure Hunt was that it ended in a different place, on the opposite side of the York centre, to the start point. This meant that there was a little detective work required to find our way back - but then it is a Treasure Hunt. It would be good if the route could be extended, with a few more clues, to take us back to the start point.

We really enjoyed finding our way around York using back alleys and snickleways. We found some places we hadn't seen before, even though this was our third visit to the city. Some of the clues were more tricky but that made it challenging and enjoyable.

This was a fun way to see some more quirky and interesting features of York and to while away a few hours. As we did this on a winter Sunday some parts of the route were closed but the instructions were always clear on what to do if this was the case. An enjoyable couple of hours!

The treasure hunt was so fun! We got to see so many amazing sights in York and learned a bit of the history along the way. The clues were great and not too hard, but still made us think. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys scavenger hunts, whether you are a tourist or a local!

Was a fun way to see a city we have visited many times before, did take us to places we never expected to visit or even knew existed. We did get stuck and had to ask for hints a few times, sometimes it was hard to understand what was being asked. It took us the whole day but gave us the option to do it at our own pace.

Great idea . Amazing clues, we were stuck on a few but with fantastic hints,x we soon figured it out. Took us a couple of hours but we did fantastic and would absolutely recommend.

Excellent. Really fun way to see York. Its a quiz while sightseeing & definitely took us to places I would never have seen but you have to keep your wits about you for the clues. Would recommend to anyone visiting York for first or several times tbh.

We really enjoyed it, easy enough to do and still really fun, we stumbled on one of the answers but otherwise we really enjoyed it. Shame about the weather but what do you expect in November

A real fun way of discovering York. We saw lots of sights which we might have missed if we had just done our normal wandering aimlessly around, plus we learnt a lot too. Using our phones was also a great way to do this, and it was very easy to share with the rest of the team. Although it is a good idea to have a rule around agreeing an answer first, as we dropped a few points through some of our member’s enthusiasm to get their answer in first!

Really enjoyed the treasure hunt York, a great way to explore the city with the family. All dog friendly which we needed as had pooch in tow.

Really enjoyed following this, it was so much fun and so interesting, we certainly ended up exploring York thoroughly, discovering all the little snickleways and hidden buildings, we would certainly do another one

Fun and interesting way to see more of the city, did the city walls walk and really enjoyed it. Occasional loss of signal was the only issue but generally resolved quickly.

Had a good day out visited parts of York I didn't know. Great day out weather was good and a few drinks around york added bonus
