I recommend the place and trip. If you can’t go by yourself, book this trip. Our guide, Rita, was so cool, provided a lot of historical information about the places, and also some skirts to be able to visit inside the monasteries. Well done, Rita ! The bus was very clean and the driver was careful. Took us back safe. * A little tip for those who wrote that the guide dont go inside: well, its better because, personally, I went there to pray in peace ! 😇 About the Meteora place.. you should visit to understand it ! Amazing place !

Viator should use a better local company in Thessaloniki. The bus they put us on had a non working air conditioning and no windows. It also broke down going to Meteora, then they said they fixed it and going back to Thessaloniki there was a very strong gasoline smell and some passengers in the back of the bus reported smoke. We had to stop on the side of the road contemplating the sunset and the mosquitoes while waiting for more of one hour for the bus replacement. This bus was in no condition for such a long trip and shouldn’t have been used. I put 2 stars because the lady that was directing the trip (there is no guide) was nice.

Amazing experience, perfectly organised, especially unique location to enjoy our lunch. Our tour guide was very friendly and helpful. She told us lots of history of this apart area. Our bus driver brought us safely to our destination and back to the city with the luxury coach.

This place is spectacular! Definitely worth a visit if you are staying in Thessaloniki. It's a bit further away but a must-see. Our guide Eleni was very sweet and provided us with lots and lots of information about this place. Our driver Tomás was amazing at his job. This tour leaves and comes back at the time they promise. All very well organized. Professional people work for this company and they speak very well English.

The magical views of this location will take your breath away. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and had many fun stories about mythology and the history of Greece along the way. The bus is very comfortable and meeting people from other countries during the tour was also a fun experience. The bus driver deserves props as well as I have no idea how he navigated an automobile that big through those small spaces. Both the tour guide and driver were very professional and kind. The lunch spot was also beautiful and the employees were very easy to work with, with such a large group. Definitely worth every dime!!

Meteora is stunning and is the main reason I choose to visit Thessaloniki, glad I am not disappointed. The coach was spacious and comfortable as it was a long drive. Tour guide Rita gave us good general background of the place. A star was taken away as we were only given 1 hour for lunch and with a group of over 25, by the time I got my food, there was only 15 minutes left. It was not a good dining experience and we still needed to pay extra for this. I‘d rather brought a packed lunch and had more time for the monastries.

The full day trip to Meteora, operated by Ammon Tours, was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. The tour guide was interesting, knowledgeable and helpful. The trip stayed on schedule but we didn't feel rushed. The 2 monasteries and the panoramic view were extraordinary, as is Meteora in general. The (optional) lunch was tasty. Although there is a lot of driving, the bus was very comfortable and the guide kept us entertained. Definitely worth doing if you have the time...

It was very fun. Met some great people and the tour guide was super nice and informative. The resturant at the end of the tour is pricey, but it is worth the price if you want professionally cooked food.

Wonderful tour. Guide was fabulously kind, courteous, well read and bilingual. Bus was clean, comfortable and a smooth ride. Monasteries were well kept and just as spectacular as a unesco site would be. Timing, meet up and drop off locations were well communicated and guides easily contacted. Efharisto!
