From pick up to drop off was faultless . When we arrived in Kardamena we were met by guides who informed us of our day . We were then taken to the boat . On Nisyros Martha was waiting for us to board buses to the volcano . The volcano was amazing to see . After free time at the volcano we were transported back and Martha guided us to the main square , informing us on way of different things . We took the walk to the monastery. This is a must as there you get spectacular views over Nisyros . There was ample free time to do this and sit and have a drink and some food before returning to the boat . A great day out .

Well arranged. Neatly picked up and transported by bus and boat. In addition to the crater, also time to explore the cozy Mandraki to visit. Recommended.

Lovely trip. Lovely island. Lots of fun. The whole trip was well organised and value for money. Would recommend you take sensible footwear as the Volcano is sharp and dusty.

Lovely day trip, picked up from our hotel guide was very good. Had to walk from the coach to the harbour to catch the ferry over. Then a coach trip up to the crater, a little smelly but ok 🙂 then back to the town for free time wandering around the village. Would recommend this trip

Very good day trip with boat and bus transfers. We paid 30 euros each. The trip included 2 hours in the main town on the island with pretty streets and a good choice of reasonably priced restaurants and shops. We climbed up the monastery but not but bear in mind it's steep with many steps. Also a 1 hour trip to the crater if the volcano was excellent.

A lovely relaxing day trip with pick up from outside our hotel, boat trip across to the island of Nisyros a visit to the Crater of Stephanos and time to enter the Crater if you wish. The tour was guided throughout with knowledgeable guides and then there was free time for a walk around the village and lunch before the boat returned us to Kos and the bus returned us to the hotel. Just a small note the entrance to the volcano area is charged at €5 each and needs to be paid otherwise you'd be sat outside on a rock😂 A good day id recommend it

Walking around Nisyros. The experience of walking down to the crater and then on it, brilliant. Tour timing spot on.. Just enough time to see Nisyros and just enough in the volcano

Amazing trip to see something you don't always see! Lots of traveling though. The sea air makes you tired! Bring walking boots if you wanna go down to the crater and walk right around the center rope to see the bubbling Sulphur pits!

Wonderful day out. Pick up from hotel, boat trip to Nisyros, then coach drive to the crater - this is where the guide, Michael informed on the history of the island, the animals, villages and so much more. Micheal continued his guide into the harbour where we had more than two hours to eat, buy souvenirs and go to the monastery. Retun journey included in the price. A great day out that photos alone struggle to capture Stefanos Crater is amazing in size and the reality of the environment. Highly recommend.

The 'visit' was cancelled 2 days before the date it was due. Very disappointing, as we had left it for the last day of our holiday. We found and alternative company and still managed to see Nisyros, but this was fairly stessful.

We stayed at Akti palace , everything was good ,very friendly ,welcoming and polite staff , food was good , the only thing The beach was sandy however the beginning of the sea was rocky . In Kardamaina and Kos town you can find quality local product such as Honey, olive , olive oil , soap,…

We really enjoyed the trip however, we were left with very little free time in the port village as we followed the tour guide for 20 minutes to a restaurant that she highly recommended but wasn't practically enjoyable.

We were staying at the Atlantica Beach Hotel near Kardamaina and wanted to do a trip to Nisyros. TUI were offering the same trip for £55 per person and from other reviews the trip started later in the day and therefore finished later. We found this tour operator and for 2 adults and a child it cost us £70 in total with a start time of 9am. We were contacted on WhatsApp the day before travel with pickup information and a bus came and collected us on time from our hotel. We were dropped off and met by a nice local lady who walked us through Kardamaina to the harbour. We then boarded the boat and a short while later we were on route to Nisyros. When we got to Nisyros we gathered with our assigned Tour guide (Michael) who had his work cut out having to do both German and English translations. The group was mostly German with only two families who spoke English. Michael was absolutely fantastic, with his translations flowing very nicely and we missed nothing. The Volcano entry cost my wife and I €3 but my son was free (under 12’s are free). We had around 30 minutes in the volcano and got some great photos / videos. Our 7 year old did the walk with no issues. There was a little cafe there so we had a quick drink before jumping back on the bus. We were then driven to Nisyros Harbour. Michael then walked us through the town, giving us updates on parts of the town as we walked through. We were then given around 3 hours to have lunch and walk back to the harbour. We had lunch at Vegros Restaurant which was very reasonably priced and lovely service as well (some cute kittens hanging around too)!! We walked back and had a Volcano Ice Cream at Piccolo Cafe, had a browse through some shops (and bought a few little souvenirs) and then had a milkshake at Seaview Cafe-Bar. We then headed back to the boat and headed home. On arrival back at Kardamaina, we followed the crowd to a nearby car park and were directed to our transport home. We had a small minibus with another family to drop us back. It felt like we had our own taxi! In all I am really happy with this experience. Much cheaper than TUI and Michael was great at keeping us engaged and his knowledge was top notch. Thank you

We were picked up at about 8.20 at our hotel and sailed from Kardamaina at 10 am. We were at Nisyros by 11 am and had free time to wander around Mandraki till 2 pm. You can have lunch there and walk the narrow streets of the village and visit the monastery. At 2pm we headed up to the volcano, where we had some time to visit the crater, then back to the port to catch a ride back at 4 pm.

It’s not every day that you get to visit an active volcano and walk around in the caldera - amazing! Our guide was brilliant, so informative and helpful and she took us around the beautiful main town, where we visited the monastery and had the most delicious lunch. With lots of cats! We highly recommend this trip!

Had a great time on our tour. Booked it via Trip-adviser, which was a first for us. Was simple and cheaper than booking in the town. Pick up was arranged via Whats-app and all in all was a great experience from start to finish. Trip was a full day excursion with plenty of time to eat and drink along the way and the guide was very knowledgeable. It was very active trip and the walk down to the surface of the volcano might be beyond some. You don't need to walk down but what's the point in going I'd say if you can't do the trip highlight. If I have any criticism it would be that we had problems with coach seats on our return journey as we were last on due a bit of a bull bait getting to hear which coach was ours.....some older travelers might find this stressful. We found it a bit poor and we ended up on the very back seats wedged between two people who just did not want us beside them and left us no room. They weren't British let's put it that way:) All in all a well worth trip and very interesting to walk on the volcano surface.

It was a very long day with too much free time in a small village with little to do. The guide Maryann walked far too fast and started talking before people had caught up. A lot of walking so no good for anyone with mobility issues. Dont book trips through jet2 you can save at least €15 per ticket by booking with a tour operator in the town.
