I got this tour as a present and booked it back in January. Unfortunately the organiser cancelled it at 9pm the night before. The cancellation over tripadvisor didn't provide a reason why I wrote an email to them directly. To which I got a prompt reply (fast communication-the only plus) that they overbooked the tour because their booking system doesn't sync with third party bookings. Doubtful if this is a valid excuse, as organizer one should probably know about all the bookings earlier than the night before. We had travelled the entire day to get to Kiruna just for this tour and had hotel bookings so it feels really disrespectful to cancel so late. If this happens once- fine but as other reviews state wasn't this the first time it happened. And then it's maybe time to think of a solution as organizer to not take your clients for granted. Moral of the story, book on their original website if you don't want to get kicked off at the last minute.

I expected to see probably up to 20 Reindeer. I couldn’t believe it when I saw how many there were. Excellent value for money. Got to feed heaps of them and got to drive my own reindeer on a sled. The most wonderful day and Frederick was the most amazing Sami host.

These reindeers like to run, reindeer sled is wonderful! Although the circle is big, we would like to have longer distance sled since it’s really fun!

It's 1.am and I just came to check on the clothing requirement for this trip...and it says CANCELLED. I checked my email- and no updates as to this was canceled and nay reason given. I paid 90 dollars to get here today from Abisko today to make it to this reindeer trip and u just cancel just cause ??????? This is terrible.....I have traveled to 10 counties so far and I have never experienced anything like it in TripAdvisor app. TripAdvisor really need to straighten up these people because they just don't care. I have another roommate from Australia and she came to kiruna just for this and after she leaves for abisko. Now for her 4 days trip...one day is wasted. Shame on u guys. It's 1 am and I have my alam and bus schedule in check to make it to my meeting point outside of icehotel. U guys didn't even bother to let me know that u had canceled this trip....no need to give us the notice....where we had paid a hefty amount for this???? Refund doest bring back loss time. I also cannot book another time as it shows it's sold out until march...may that's why u guys don't value canceling it because couple.of us don't hurt your business. No ethics...no.morals... Shame Shame Shame on u people. TripAdvisor read the cancelation items in the reviews and TAKE ACTION.

Incredible experience!!! Would recommend this to anyone - we were able to help feed the reindeer, go on a sleigh ride, try reindeer meat and learn all about Sami culture.

Absolutely fantastic experience with a full day of reindeers! Had the pleasure of meeting the Sami Fredrik who could tell us all about the Sami reindeer herding lifestyle and history and we got to feed the reindeers, go sledding and eat reindeer meat in a tipi! Fantastic day!

Picked up on time, smooth transfer. Full day with Sami, perfectly organized, feeding the reindeers, sledding, lunch in tent with campfire. Lunch that wS prepared wS with reindeer meet which was delicious. Unforgettable experience overall! I would recommend!

Despite contacting the company the week before our trip to check all was ok and being assured it was the company still took our funds from our account and shortly after emailed to say they had cancelled the tour. The lovely people at Arctic Eden Hotel in Kiruna called to ask what was wrong but no reason given. I emailed and explained I had a very disappointed young daughter and could they give any reason for the cancellation. They did not even respond and at no point gave an apology. As they cancelled so close to the date of the trip we could not book anything else at such short notice, meaning arriving in Kiruna a day earlier was a waste of time and money. Very sad when we were so excited by this.

Very relaxed and enjoyable experience! The guides are very professional and tell a lot about the Sami culture. They keep you entertained, warm and fed.

Very cool experience joining a day in the life of a sapmi reindeer herder: feeding the reindeer, going on a sleigh ride with them (individually), eating in a traditional tent and hearing all his stories. Incredible, very much recommended!

Our Sami couple guide, Fredrik and Beatrice were very kind in sharing their culture to us. You can see how passionate and knowledgeable they are on what they do and their reindeers.

This was one of my favorite experiences in swedish lapland! Beatrice and Friedrik are the best guides and explained everything about the sami culture and way of life. They are very nice people and so passionate about their lives and the reindeer. The reindeers are SO CUTE and they are nor afraid of people at all, they let you feed them and everything. The sled ride is also amazing. And the food is just superior. Totally recommended!

What an amazing day spent with Frederic and Beatrice. Both were so kind and welcoming and gave us a fascinating insight into the Sami life and history. I can’t recommend this tour enough!

We had a fantastic day together with Beatrice and Fredrik. They were the perfect hosts on their reindeer farm showing us their everyday lives. At first we could borrow warm artic clothes and boots. Then we helped feeding the reindeers, were taught how to throw a lasso and could try an exciting reindeer sleigh tour. We finished the day in the Sami tent where Beatrice gave us a beautiful reinder kebab and we could ask our questions. This was my way of celebrating my 80th birthday and I highly recommend anyone to experience this excursion.

This is a MUST do excursion when you are in northern Sweden. Definitely best experience I had, since it was on my bucket list from long ago. Everything was perfect and cozy, from pick up and meeting Fredrick and Beatrice, meeting with reindeers (who are extremely friendly and sweet, Uni the white reindeer being the superstar of the herd, but some are actually super shy) to experience of feeding them, having a ride in reindeer-sled, to food and chill time in the tent on the end of the adventure. Sami couple gives amazing insight in their daily life, answering all our questions and sharing Sami culture heritage and customs. Don’t hesitate to ask them anything, they are super sweet to explain it all. Even the story how two of them met. This tour is one in a lifetime experience and you will be under impressions about it for a long time. Not to mention amazing nature you will experience on the way to their village. I would gladly come back again. 💜

A once in a lifetime experience, and this is said by a native Swede! Fredrik and Beatrice are the sweetest and warmest couple letting their guests share a day in their life as reindeer keeping Samis. You get to come really close to the reindeers as you help feed them while Fredrik and Beatrice explain life as modern Sami and share stories of the past. Group is small so they have time to talk to everyone. We got to drive our own reindeer sleigh and then shared a delisious lunch in the traditional tipee. Nothing on this tour felt touristicy, everything was genouine, warm and inclusive. Even the transfer was magnificent, driving through the majestic artic landscape!

I could not recommend enough this trip!! If you are in Kiruna and you are interested in getting to know more about the Sami culture, go on this tour. It was definitely one of my best experiences and the hosts are incredible in providing this close opportunity in looking after reeinders, feeding them, reeinder sleeding, explaining their culture .... they go far and beyond to provide an unique experience!!

What an amazing experience! I would consider this a MUST for anyone visiting. It was incredible to spend the day surrounded by reindeer and to experience a different culture. The reindeer sledding was something we will never forget and the food was incredible! Beatrice and Frederick were amazing - they were friendly, funny and more than happy to answer any questions we had.the whole day really was perfect and worth every penny. Can't recommend it enough.

This experience is a MUST do. Feeding the reindeer by hand and behind the snow mobile was so incredible. I learnt a lot about Sami culture and loved eating the traditional food cooked by Beatrice.
