Absolutely loved everything about the trip. Local knowledge was outstanding and the stops made were beautiful. Could not have planned this ourselves. Would highly recommend doing the small group tour to truly enjoy Milford Sound

Great day out! Andrew was an excellent guide, lots of interesting commentary along the way. Lots of stops, never rushed, a couple of short walks on the way back added to the day. I first used Trips & Tramps 30+ years ago and glad I went back!

Highly recommend. Geoff was a fantastic guide - very knowledgeable about the history of the area bad the flora and fauna . It was a very wet day and Geoff drove confidently but carefully. It was great to sit back, relax and enjoy the sights without the stress of driving and parking.

Worth it! We had our own car and I am glad we took this trip as the parking would have been a nightmare. Small group. Local guide. Knowledgeable about the region. Knew where to stop for pictures. Did not feel rushed. Not sure why others complain about lunch--it was more than fine. Overall good value for the money!

Andrew was the most informative guide. Learned heaps about a myriad of things as well as all things Kiwi. I felt extremely safe with his driving, particularly around some of the more hairy hairpin bends. Plenty of stops to have a short walk or take 'that great pic'. Lunch provided for eating on the cruise was a chicken wrap, sweet cakes and fruit. Couldn't fault anything - it was a great experience over many hours and excellent value for what we were provided.

Perfect weather, perfect views, perfect guided day! This was a perfect way to be introduced to the best walk in the world. Great to have very knowledgeable guides explaining everything that we saw.

Best tour company ever, great guide and driver, many extra small excursions, small group, no crowds, small boat with guide. And so much more. Highly recommended. Went far out into the Tasman Sea, where a group of dolphins picked us up and escorted us back into the Sound, diving and surfing our wake they had so much fun (as did we)

An absolutely incredible day! Everything from start to finish was superb! Professional but with a real sense of a family run business. Communication prior was really clear, prompt pick up- no hanging around. Small mini bus- we were a group of 14 which made it a more personal experience. Mini bus was modern and really high quality. Our tour guide John was very knowledgeable, engaging and passionate about his work, the area and Milford Sounds. The boat trip itself was fantastic. We saw lots of other companies with crowded boats of over 60 people. Our boat had a max of 30 people which meant it was again, a really personalised and special experience. The walking part after the boat was a lovely way to explore more of the areas by foot. Lunch was great! Superb and a must do!

Wonderful trip, balanced with walking and the cruise the travelling time was perfect. Our guide Tamara was lovely, knowledgeable, friendly and professional, even managed to tee up a coffee stop for us. The tour group was also small in comparison to some larger bus & cruise groups tours. Would highly recommend.

A fantastic day out. Ross our guide was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the local flora and fauna. The cruise was magnificent and the benefit of this tour was the smaller boat/group size, and the earlier cruise which avoided some of the crowds. Would definitely recommend!

Ro was an awesome guide - fun, kind, accomodating, and knowledgeable. She clearly had a true passion for the area that was infectious and made it fun to explore! The walks were easy, the cruise was delightful, and the photos were gorgeous!

This was the ideal way to visit Milford Sound and the surrounding area. Ro's expert information (and hilarious delivery) made for the perfect day out for my family (including my toddler and tweens). The stops en route to the boat (operated by Mitre) were varied and beautiful, with enough time and flexibility to enjoy each one.

We were tired from very busy days and had a slow morning PC ( our guide) come to the hotel, patiently had coffee with us and took us to a wonderful adventure! What a wonderful country, natural resources and beauty. Difficult to describe To enhance the experience and made it better, We had PC at the helm! Funny, Amrit and knowledgeable made the day an unforgettable experience. Thank you for organizing this trip and thank you PC for your kindness.

Having done a big coach tour from Queenstown before, really appreciated the more relaxed pace of the tour from Te Anau… and it was much more flexible. Way more stops along the way so an all round better experience. Guide was really down to earth and experienced. Boat was not even half full, never felt rushed or crowded. Highly recommend.

Guide was Ross. Shared a lot of knowledge, driven safe and quick, and has shown good humour. Pickup was easy and directly from my air bnb a little outside Te Anau, the boat cruise was also organized for us. Very pleasant trip.

We had a beautiful day at Milford Sound. We were picked up by our Trips & Tramps guide, Jacob, in Te Anau in the early morning and got to Milford Sound by 8:15. The drive was as scenic as everything in NZ in spite of the early rain and fog. By the time we arrived the sun came through. The four-hour morning hike was perfect, largely thanks to Jacob, whose knowledge of flora, fauna, native culture, geology, and everything else New Zealand was seemingly endless. In addition, he is an affable and exceedingly likable person. Our afternoon cruise on the sound was an equally fine experience with more dramatic views at every turn. Jacob brought us back to Te Anau, continuing to point out everything of interest. Highly recommended and hard to beat, it was a perfect visit.
