I got to bring my wife for the first time to NZ this month, and I new immediately I had to book this tour again with Fiordland Tours. It is so nice to be on an intimate boutique tour where the number of travelers on the bus and ship were designed to be minimal that allowed us to move freely on the boat along with getting to know our our fellow passengers better as well. The times of the tour were also nicely designed to avoid all the peak times, and we got to see some very beautiful places for some photoshoots. We had a great tour guide named Tania who was not only knowledgeable about everything Milford and Te Anau, but she also ensured that our journey was tailored specifically for our group. We paid slightly more than your average price for this kind of tour, but I guarantee you it is worth every dollar for the service and experience you get in return! I'll look to come back again for this tour if I get another chance. Highly recommend doing this tour from Te Anau.

Our whole family, both adults and kids, loved the tour. We got to see so many beautiful places, we loved the boat trip and Tania was a fantastic guide. Being picked up and dropped off at your accommodation was wonderful and meant we could all enjoy the day and scenery as we didn’t have to drive. We would definitely recommend this tour!

Great day despite the wet weather as it meant more waterfalls on the Milford Sound cruise and plenty to be seen from the road. Excellent driver in Stephen and numerous stops. Snow on the peaks was a bonus.

I would say from the beginning, I was a bit of a unique case because I wanted to stay in Milford Sound and not travel back to Te Anau with the group. So, it meant that I wouldn't experience part of the trip and wouldn't see some of the stops. But Tania made sure that she gave me information and tips about the stops worth visiting. And Tania... she is amazing guide, very knowledgeable about the area, so informative, but still there was a space for my (or of others) questions. And the best she said everything with a jokes such a fun way! Tania again... thank yo so so much! That you helped me not just make everything work out but also made sure I could enjoy a loooot! And the lunch was so yummy! :)) Thank you all company!

Milford Sound did not disappoint but was made so much better by Jono our fantastic tour guide - fascinating facts and info, amazing views and a yummy morning tea - highly recommend!

I cannot recommend Fiordland Tours enough! And I think what really made our tour special was our guide Sacha - she was knowledgeable, clearly very passionate about her local area and personable. If I have one bit of advice for families - don’t do the tour from Queenstown. It’s such a big day with little ones even going from Te Anau. The small groups of Fiordland Tours meant that we stopped at some beautiful places that a big coach bud would never have been able to. You have more time to explore the amazing scenery. Thank you very much for our unforgettable experience in Milford Sound and Te Anau!

We wanted to do a small tour bus from Te Anau and we weren’t disappointed, Also we had great contact with Fiordland Tours via email since booking. On time pick up with our lovely tour guide and driver Tania. We had read that the best way to go to Milford Sound was by guided tour and we didn’t fancy a large coach. I feel that we chose the best company. We were so impressed with Tania’s warm personality, her amazing knowledge of Fiordland and giving us the many stops along the way. It gave us the peace of mind to really enjoy the travel there and back and also learn so much along the way. Tania has a great way with people and she really made our trip amazing. Don’t self drive, you’ll miss so much. We wouldn’t hesitate to say - Fiordland Tours is the way to go!

Outstanding tour, and exceptional tour guide, Stephen. Leaving our camp at 08:10am and drove down towards Milford Sounds with multiple pit stops with stunning views. Stephen had lots of knowledge, fun facts and great stories. Boat trip was amazing, and very scenic, with lots of waterfalls. An hour to explore the town, optional add-on for a helicopter tour. We didn’t do ourselves but definitely should off! Overall amazing customer service, with a great experience highly recommend.

Our guide Stephen was excellent! We had a small group of 10 people which made it very personal and memorable - the scenery... Spectacular. Lovely lunch included. Highly recommend!

Perfect organized tour. Enough foto stops, cool bus and ship tour. Our tour guide Sasha made a super job and she told a lot about the surrounding nature and added very interesting facts of movie making experiences (e.g. Lord of the Rings, Mission Impossible, ...). Addionally she added personal details about her life here in Fjordland where she was born and still lives.

Collection from hotel, comfy mini bus. Lots of interesting stops on the way. Boat was v good as wasnt full. Free tea and coffee on mini bus and boat. Really enjoyed the trip and fantastic scenery would recommend.

After looking at larger group trips, we finally chose, to our great advantage, Fiordland Tours. Picked up directly from our accommodation, we were comfortable and well cared for through the entire journey. Our local guide’s (Sasha) commentary was insightful, entertaining, and flawlessly delivered. She had a welcoming spirit, was a skillful driver, and created a first rate experience. We stopped for several small hikes and morning tea was delicious and thoughtfully served. Our boat was ample for the size of the group, with plenty of room for viewing. We will be recommending Fiordland Tours to all our friends heading to Milford.

What a day! We thoroughly enjoyed our Fiordland Tours Milford Sound experience, beginning with an unexpected chauffeur drive by Ray to join the rest of our small group tour ably led by Stephen. Even though the weather was overcast, misty and cool it added to the moodiness and mystery of the Sound. Making new friends (from Canada) made the day even more special. If you're looking for a quality Milford experience - look no further. Ray, Leonie and their amazing team of driver/guides will bring the goods.

We were picked up in the morning and greeted by Tania, who was friendly and had a great sense of humour. Tour was great and with the lovely local experience of Tania, there were changes to our itinerary to ensure we maximise the time and we saw scenery at its best. I would say this tour was all about quality rather than quantity which is what I choose over any day. Tania was very knowledgeable. Cruise was great, as it wasn't too packed. The packed lunches were great, the sandwiches weren't just any boring sandwiches, it was quite gourmet and the flavour was so good. We ordered all 3 (ham, chicken, seafood) as we were travelling in a group of 6. It had a piece of fruit, a piece of local cake, Whitmans chocolate bar, and a fancy juice. Great value and was so filling. As a bonus, we even got fresh scones for our morning tea which was perfect with a hot drink and beautiful scenery. Overall, great experience and a must do when you are in the area.

A great day out! Although the showers were starting as we left Te Anau the Mirror Lakes were reflective and atmospheric so got some great photos. By the time we reached Milford Sound the rain had set in but everyone says you should see the Sound in the rain - and it was magnificent, with waterfalls cascading down every rock-face! So the boat trip was amazing. Jonno took us to places where we could really appreciate water in nature - waterfalls and cataracts absolutely pumping, and wet but beautiful tracks through the forest . Jonno is a knowledgeable guide to this area and he kept it interesting and informative all the way. Thank you Fiordland Tours for a memorable Fiordland experience.

The Full-Day Milford Sound tour was fantastic! The views from the boat were absolutely incredible! The boat wasn't too big or too crowded - we could easily move around to take in the views from different vantage points. Even the bus ride, which was long, was very enjoyable. Our driver had lots of interesting stories and we stopped several times for more gorgeous views.
