Our tour guide was awesome. Highly knowledgeable and went out of his way for a great experience. Great stories were shared. Listened to and knew how to ensure we experienced the area well in limited time.

This was the second tour I have experienced with Mild to Wild. Both have been excellent and coincidentally my tour guide last year to the mines north of Silverton again was Lee. Lee is a phenomenal guide in all aspects. His knowledge of the area, his concern for the safety of his guests make the day most enjoyable. Mild to Wild vehicles are comfortable as well as clean. Tour left on time, stayed on schedule and we were not rushed at any of the stops. I recommend leaving from the Mild to Wild terminal in Durango to enjoy the scenery to Mesa. The plus of the tour is to leave the driving to Lee. Simply passing trough this park without a tour guide is not recommended. The park has a complex history over many years going back to year 800. Half of visiting this park is hearing the history of the 7000 plus residents and without Lee as your guide you are left to simply imagine what went on at Mesa National Park. While this park is scenic, it does not compare to other national parks in the US. What makes it truly outstanding is the history of those who lived here and their discoveries.

I gave them only 1 star because they canceled my scheduled tour less than 2 days before due to not having enough participants. They offered the tour on another day, but I already had another tour scheduled. Fortunately, I was able to secure a spot with another company.

Give your driver a break and let someone else conquer the majestic drive that a visit to Mesa Verde requires. That and the parking! We are so grateful to the Mild to Wild team for making our trip easy. The Cliff Palace is one of the more ghostly places I've ever been, and Mild to Wild handled the tickets. Our guide was knowledgable about the landscape and skilled at handling the vehicle. When the wonderful tour was over our guide even provided excellent and diverse dinner advice. A perfect day out. The best part of the visit was the tour guide. We have traveled extensively throughout the world and found our tour guide to be one of the best. He shared his extensive knowledge of Mesa Verdes pointing out and explaining many historical sites. We took the tour down to the Palace. A steep hike down and back. It was worth it to see the ancient structures up close. After each adventure I always ask myself would I do it again. In this case, absolutely I would do it again.

We had Jay as our tour guide. He had a great personality and answered all of our questions. Very personable and got us to and from the national park safely. We will come back again. Thanks for a fabulous experience.

We had Lee as our guide, what a lucky draw!! He is wonderful, knowledgeable and so easy going. Thoughtful to everyone’s needs. On the ride home, he mentioned he was taking his wife to the Kinabec restaurant the next night so we gave it a try. Loved it!! Great day, all day long.

We thoroughly enjoyed the full day tour of Mesa Verde with Tosh he was very easy to talk to and very informative highly recommended. The only thing that needs improvement is the lunch

We did the Full-Day Mesa Verde Tour on Sept 30th. Our guide was Lee and he was awesome. He knows the history of the area and knows how to weave a good story. And we really appreciated that they took us out for the entire day trip even though there were only two of us. Lee was personable and fun to talk to and took great care of us all day. We highly recommend this tour experience and would definitely book again. We are already talking about what we want to do next year!

We had the most amazing time on our tour due to the knowledge and guidance of our tour guide Tosh! From the very start of our timely pickup to showing us the most beautiful places in the park to the tour highlight of visiting Cliff Palace it was all an unforgettable memory bringing you back in time! 10 out of 10 would highly recommend this tour company especially with Tosh! He was very very knowledge about the Pueblo people and his respect and dedication in sharing their culture was heartfelt!

We took an all day tour of Mesa Verde park with Tosh from Mild to Wild and were so glad we did. Tosh is very knowledgeable about local plants and animals and the history of the Pueblo people, which made it a much more enriching experience. We highly recommend this tour and tour guide!

Wow, what a great experience I had on my tour of Mesa Verde yesterday! I Another check off on my Bucket List(exploring the Cliff Palace) Tosh is an exceptional guide. Very knowledgeable of his surroundings. He is very considerate of his passengers and wanted to make everyone have a good time, He made sure we didn't miss out on anything (from cliff dwellings to a rattlesnake in the road or wild horses grazing in a canyon). I am 73 and can't wait to go on a Jeep tour with him. Tosh, you rock!

I have always wanted to see Mesa Verde and learn the history. I had people say, why go when you can see it on TV. The screen does not do it justice. It was an amazing experience and when I came around the corner and saw the first cliff dwellings, it took my breath away. To picture what the people went thru to make such a unique home, how closely they had to work together and the respect for the land. We could all learn from from the past. A full day was not enough and I will be visiting again. Our guide was full of information. Jay took the time to figure out what we were most interested in. Altered the tour to those interests and made the experience even better. Thank you so much!

We went on the full day Mesa Verde Mild and Wild tour with Jay. He was a terrific guide- very knowledgeable about the culture, area and the architecture. We were the only two on the tour that day and he made sure we got to do everything we wanted to do and see. I can’t recommend this tour (and especially Jay) enough!

The thunder and lightening storm were crazy but getting to see the exhibits and having Jerry our guide explain things were perfect. The lightening did cause a fire which prevented us from the cliff house tour due to safety but the company offered a free compensation which was wonderful customer service

This Tour, Tosh gave us was excellent, exciting and very informative. We learnt so much about Mesa Verde and its secrets. The full day tour was the best decision we could take. Highly recommend!!!

We had an incredible day at Mesa Verde, thanks to our guide Tosh. We had planned to drive to Mesa Verde from Durango, but we’re so thankful we didn’t. Both of us were able to enjoy looking at the gorgeous scenery, and Tosh gave us so much history and cultural information on the drive and throughout the day. Really gave us a deeper appreciation for what we were seeing. Also, Tosh knew the major sites and where the bathrooms were! We probably would have missed a lot on our own. The advertised tour includes the ranger-led excursion into Cliff Palace. These tickets are limited and hard to get. On the day we learned that they had booked the Balcony House excursion as they couldn’t obtain Cliff Palace tickets. I was unhappy that this information was not communicated, and still feel that the company should notify clients when that happens. The physical demands of the two excursions are quite different. However, Tosh was extremely positive and encouraging, and assured us of assistance. It ended up being an unforgettable day, and we were glad to have seen Balcony House. We still were able to view Cliff Palace. I would definitely recommend the full day excursion. Mesa Verde is vast, and a half-day would be rushed. If you are lucky you’ll have Tosh as your guide!

We loved the full-day Mesa Verde tour. Tosh our guide was exceptional! He helped us feel, understand, and imagine the Pueblo people who lived in Mesa Verde. We could feel his love, reverence, and respect for them. Tosh was incredibly knowledgeable about the Pueblo culture and religion, as well as the ongoing archeological discoveries being made at Mesa Verde. Private guides are not allowed to go down into the Cliff Palace. When we went down and heard the other tourists asking the Park ranger questions, we realized how much Tosh had already taught us! This was a fantastic tour. We can not say enough good things about the tour and our knowledgeable guide Tosh! We highly recommend taking this adventure of discovery.
