Knowledgeable and friendly wine staff and our traveling companions including Phil our driver . Didn’t know we could get picked up at our Airbnb; that would have been a bit more convenient. Overall a really enjoyable day!

An excellent day out with visits to 5 wineries and a great lunch break at St Clairs winery. Our host Gavin was great and we had an interesting group of people from around the world. Every vineyard had excellent hosts for the tastings and we even had time to squeeze in some gin cheese and whisky tasting.

Great tour. Our host was brilliant and gave us lots of great tips. We visited amazing vineyards, who were very generous with our servings. The lunch stop was fantastic too.

Gavin was an excellent host, very knowledgeable and accommodating. Excellent selection of wineries and lunch at Saint Clair’s was incredible. We had a fabulous group of people on our tour which all made a really fun day. Definitely worth doing.

We had a great day on this tour. Gavin was a phenomenal driver, and tour guide. He regaled us with wonderful information and stories about wine and the Marlborough area. We tasted wonderful wines and had a delicious lunch stop. It was so convenient to be picked up at our hotel!

Our driver/guide Sam was very knowledgeable friendly and he managed to get the whole group to interact. We visited five cellar doors and by far the best was the first stop at Forrest, we learned far more here than all the other stops put together,which resulted in further stops being a little underwhelming. The lunch stop at Saint Claire largely catered for a la carte menu , so it was difficult just to have a small snack. Eventually we managed to get a cheese board from the dessert menu . A quick stop at Makana chocolate factory gave us the opportunity to get some yummy chocolates. Our last stop at Jackson estate was probably was our second favourite and we also bought wine from here. Overall it was a great day out. Thank you Sam

Amazing tour! Gavin takes care of a lot of details, which make the tour special. This includes remembering names, entertaining at the right times and giving enough space for everyone to chat and enjoy themselves. 5 wineries might be too much for some and extra costs for lunch aren‘t insignificant, but I would absolutely book again.

Great tour with good selection of wineries and lot’s of tasting options. Made all the better by our guide Gavin! His wit and wine knowledge made the tour a fun, educational and memorable experience.

Gavin was our guide and he made the entire wine tasting tour an outstanding experience. He did much more than guide and educate us about the wines in the Marlborough region. He actually created very fond memories of our experience that day. He is a delightful and charming guy who exhibits a superb sense of humor that was so endearing that he elevated the experience for all of guests. He won our hearts over. He is also very well respected by all of the wineries and staff. He is a very special man, and we highly recommend him. The Marlborough Wine Tours Company was very professional and highly organized. Everything was seemless.

A great way to see Marlborough and learn about its wonderful wines. Gavin was our guide and he was delightful, funny, friendly and very knowledgeable about wine in general and the region in specific. We visited 5 wineries and tasted a variety of Sauvignon Blanca and Pinot Noirs. Our group got along well and Gavin orchestrated the day beautifully.

We had such a wonderful day wine tasting in this iconic region! Gavin was an amazing guide and extremely knowledgable about the area and wineries. He took really good care of us and it was a lot of fun chatting with him. He went out of his way to make sure that our day was memorable and we greatly appreciated it.

We were picked up from our accommodation as arranged and taken to five different vineyards, lunch at the third one (would have been good to know it was a shared group lunch and cost-however was very good and catered for vegetarians) then a gorgeous chocolate shop on way home. 7 hrs in all door to door. The only way to try the wine whilst being driven around and making the most of the tastings. Nice small friendly group of 11

Great day out, but not recommended if your tour company expects you to drive 120 kilometres that evening! Top marks for our guide Jim and the meal at Allan Scott's was sublime.

Phil was a great driver and guide. We thoroughly enjoyed his commentary and the five vineyards he tools us too. Our companions were lovely too which made the day even more enjoyable. Being picked up and dropped off at our hotel was an added advantage. It was a great day overall. I highly recommend it!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our day trip to the Marlborough wine region. Our friendly host Gavin collected us on time from our accommodation in Picton and whilst driving to Blenheim explained all about the day and the history of wine making in the area. We visited 6 wineries during day including a stop for lunch (payable separately). Each winery provided an enthusiastic and knowledgeable introduction to their wines many of which were exceptional quality. There was a mixed group on the trip which added to the enjoyment.

We had a brilliant day with MWT. We took in 5 cellar door tastings and had a lovely lunch. Nic our host was great - very relaxed, engaging and knowledgeable. We had 7 gust on the trip - a truly global group (USA, Sweden and Australia) - made for some great conversation whilst enjoying the wines.

We had an excellent experience booking, communicating and on excursion from our cruise. Hamesh our driver was cordial, friendly, knowledgeable with good service. The other customers in van were not cruisers, and land travelers- which made it much more interesting and fun. We got picked up in Picton easily from “l” location, went to 5 different unique wineries and a quick stop at chocolate shop. Highlight was our lunch at Allan Scott Winery. Family style food was excellent although service was surprisingly a little too slow. We have taken many excursions, this was one of the best, and highly recommend it for anyone. Do not hesitate to book !
