Tirthankar is the best guide ever. He is always on top of it, he knows the place very well and he is a great person! We always felt safe while staying with him.

This is our second Kolkata tour with Mr. Mukherjee. We took a day trip to Shantiniketan from Calcutta with “Kolkata Trips.” It was a very pleasant experience, the owner/driver/tour operator Mr. Tirthanker Mukherjee was extremely helpful. He not only took care of our physical comfort, he also made sure that we feel happy throughout the journey. He was very courteous and an energetic person, trying to take us through every sight that we may like to visit. I would highly recommend this tour for all age groups. And last but not the least, the car was very nice, and so was his careful driving.

I am a retired doctor from Kolkata, 82 yrs old, and along with my wife and my daughter who is visiting us from abroad for ten days, decided to take a trip to Santiniketan, an old abode of Rabindranath Tagore, the Nobel laureate in literature and an icon of India, a patriot, visionary and poet. His poetry has inspired generations of Indians. The Biswabharati University shows his love for education and how important it is for human progress and civilization. We decided to organize our travel through Kolkata Trips as at our age we were anxious about finding reliable transport locally if we travelled by train. We were very happy with service of Kolkata Trips and Mr. Tirthanker Mukherjee from this tour company, who accompanied us on the trip. The tour car was a very comfortable new Maruti Ertiga, fully sanitized, supplemented with hand sanitizers, water bottles, and simple packed snacks . Mr. Mukherjee was at the wheel –he is an excellent driver and drove with great concentration. He gave us an outstanding tour of Santiniketan, taking us to major and minor attractions of the area. On the way home, Mr. Mukherjee maneuvered through heavy traffic with great skill and dexterity. I would highly recommend his services for knowledge of our history and heritage, reliability, efficiency, courtesy and professional care. One word of caution- do your best to avoid traveling at night because of the heavy vehicle traffic.

We recently booked a full day tour for Santiniketan with Kolkata Trips. It was a wonderful experience. Mr. Mukherjee who took us on the tour is very professional and organized. He clearly cares about giving his clients the best experience possible. He recommended a change in our initial booking keeping in mind several different considerations and it turned out to be a much better fit given our interests. I travelled with my elderly parents, and he was very attentive to their needs and went above and beyond to ensure their comfort during the trip. The tour car is clean, comfortable, COVID safe, and comes equipped with refreshments, water and umbrellas. I was visiting Santiniketan again after many years. As an admirer of Tagore’s poetry, this place has emotional meaning for me, and Mr. Mukherjee created an excellent itinerary which made the visit memorable. While sharing detailed and interesting information about sites visited, he also organized a local guide who brought history alive when showing us the Visva-Bharati University campus. Mr Mukherjee is very flexible as a host, tailoring the visit according to client preferences. He is generous with his time and knowledge, as well as gracious and kind in temperament. This is the second tour I have done with Kolkata Trips. The first one was a full day Kolkata tour in 2018 with my daughter who was very young at the time. Both times, my experience has been excellent. Everything is impeccably arranged, the travel feels safe and comfortable, and the tours are crafted in way to heighten appreciation of the rich history, culture and beauty of Kolkata and the wider region. I recommend Kolkata Trips very highly.

We contacted Kolkata Tours to arrange a two day tour of Kolkata Mr Mukherjee very promply replyed and arranged this for us. On each morning T Makherjee was waiting for us in the hotel reception to start the tour at 9 a.m. He went through the intinary with us for the two days, he said if we wanted to change anything there was no problem. We went out to the car it was immaculately clean with A/C and also had a welcome pack of drinks and snacks. T Mukherjee speaks very good english and is a very good driver, he is an excellant and generous host and showed us known and unknown sites of Kolkata. We particularly enjoyed Mothers House, Jain Temple, Flower Market and many other of the real Kolkata. On the first day he suggested we try some street food which was very nice, also we went to a well known coffee house that the locals go to and in the evening before going back to the hotel he suggested we go to a restaurant which specialises in Indian Biryani delicious. On the scond day we visited the Flower Market and had a walk across the Howrah Bridge and the Victoria Memoral and a number of other interesting places in the afternoon we visited a well know restaurant he recommended for lunch which was excellant. We found t Mukherjee very knowledgeable of Kolkata History, he never hurried you at any of the sites we viisited and nothing was a problem to him, we have some wonderful photos which he took and forwarded on to us a lasting memory of our tour. Mr. Mukherjee was an excellent host for our day out in Kolkata! We were limited on the amount of time we had to see the city, as we were in town for a wedding, and Mr. Mukherjee helped us prioritize which sites to visit. Kolkata is vibrant with so many hidden details that Mr. Mukherjee helped bring to light as we toured around. We particularly enjoyed the flower market and the restaurant he recommended for lunch. We also really appreciated his knowledge of Kolkata's history.

Comprehensive taste of Kolkata. Full of color and life. Flowers, ghats, pottery and the traditional highlights. Mr. Mukherjee is knowledgeable and kind and puts together an excellent day. Great lunch spot too! Book it!
