Beautiful place! But please note it is man made. Only caught 1 fish (an Amazon red tail) the whole time we were there, as two anglers. So that was disappointing! We paid for the day ticket with transfers. Transfers were very good and timely. Warm reception at the fishing resort. Food and drink expensive compared to 7/11 and our Phuket hotel. American breakfast is nice but we didn’t rate the burger or pizza. The fishing hut could do with some comfy chairs or a day bed or something other than plastic garden chairs and a very uncomfortable sofa made out of wood! It’s a long day here! Fishing 8-7 pm!! More comfort is therefore needed in the swim!! Very hot 34 degrees after noon and only one fan blowing hot air. Could do with 2 fans on either side of swim and cold outdoor showers, as there isn’t such facilities and it’s unbearable in the heat for such a long time waiting to catch. Overall my partner enjoyed it. I didn’t catch anything and therefore found the trip very expensive. Also note to come here you need fishing experience, as the fishing guides don’t speak any English and do not help other than with bate and netting

Fantastic trip to exotic 3 days in absolute paradise fishing was hit and miss but my guide Boy never stopped working . The scenery is breathtaking and facilities are great cannot rate the staff highly enough . My first venture fishing in Thailand so I was a bit green but managed some great fish . The food is lovely and the restaurant staff are so much fun we will see you again guys thanks

Great location with stunning scenary. Staff are friendly and guides are very knowledgable. The accomodation is clean and comfortable and the food is excellent especially the thai food. The fishing is world class, great freshwater fishing, i caught nothing under 30kg and the larger fish i got were up to 100kg plus. Mike and his team do an amazing job and anyone wanting a great fishing experience should def consider exotic fishing thailand.

I had a days fishing. Excellent location, brilliant staff great value for money and caught a fish of my dreams a 165lb Arapaima. Highly recommend this place

Mike just like to thank you for a wonderful experience yesterday. everything was just perfect your resort, staff and attention to detail is second to none. Myself and my 2 teenage sons all ended up catch some cracking fish, the pick of which was a 100lb Chao Phraya catfish which my 16year old son battled for over 45mins. We’ll definitely be back and hopefully will be able to book in and stay at your fantastic resort for a number of nights.

Absolutely amazing place to come and fish. The staff are super friendly and helpful cant do enough for you. The lake and scenery are just stunning its paradise. The accommodation is great everything is great. The guides are super helpful and everything you want to eat and drink is brought straight to your swim. Managed to catch a fish of a lifetime thanks to the guides help. You need to come here to fish stunning

Fished here for one day with a friend this week. This was by far the best fishing experience we’ve both had. Mike organised us return travel from Phuket although we would definitely stay on the next visit. The fishing was out of this world made even better by the wealth of knowledge and help from Mike’s guide. We managed numerous fish including multiple arapaima, Siamese carp, red tail and chao phraya catfish, pacu. The guides all do a great job handling and caring for the fish. Food is 10/10 and the lady calls around the pegs every hour or so bringing soft drinks and beer as required. Do not miss this place, Mike and Neil both great guys.

Third visit to EFT and all were first class. We'll done to Mike in getting SHA+ certification to allow us to visit the resort with test and go. Place is fabulous, fishing is first class, accommodation and restaurant are firstl class. All the staff and guides are so friendly and good. Recommend this to anyone who fancies a good relaxing holiday and fishing

Visited EFT for the second time staying for 3 days fishing and 2 nights accommodation. Stayed 19,20,21st March 2022.Rooms are excellent with great views over the lake and mountains. This really is a stunning venue. My aim was to catch something everyday and hopefully land a nice Siamese Carp. Within 10 Minutes of starting I’d lost an Arapaima, however 1st fish landed was a lovely Siamese at about 37lb...well chuffed. Went on to land a total of 9 fish on day 1. Including 6 Red tail to 35lb and an Aligatot Gar. Day 2 a little slower got 2 more Red Tails an Aligater gar and 5 minutes before time up at 7.00 off went the buzzer and landed an incredible Siamese carp weighing in at 72lb..over the moon, what a fish. Day 3 started a little slow again,and lost 2more Arapaima,however finished with 2 nice Red tails, 2 Alligator gar another lovely Siamese at 52lb a Salawene at 55lb a 42lb Wallagro Leer,think that’s how you spell it, so another 7 fish on the bank. In total 20 fish landed in 3 days and a few lost. A brilliant stay, can’t wait to go back, if you are thinking of going you will not regret it.

We had 4 people in our group, husbands and wives. Mike made us a great package deal with fishing and room combined, including van pickup from Phuket Airport. Fishing was incredible from start to finish, nonstop action, longest time we went without a fish, was 30 minutes. We caught 35 fish total for the day including 4 Aripima, 4 Alligator Garr, Redtail catfish, Albino Pacu, Ripsaw catfish, Asia Carp and Tambaqui! Rooms are top notch, very comfortable bed, and couch to relax on after a long day fishing. Will most definitely be going back in the very near future! Thanks Mike for an incredible experience!

Had another amazing trip to EFT. Mike and his team are very friendly, helpful and hospitable. The fishing was out of this world, I caught 168 fish over 7 days fishing with the highlights being 130kg Mekong, 12 Arapaima between 50 -90kgs, Chao Phraya to 50kg and 20 Siamese Carp to 35kg to name a few of the fish caught.

Amazing scenery, food was great, rooms were good size with nice aircon and beds. Kids loved the pool with the joining swim up aquarium. My wife especially loved the food and also enjoyed the Thai cooking class. We extended our stay for an extra two days we all had so much fun. The fishing was amazing and I think my son is hooked for life now, thanks Mike !

Fishing and stayed for days and nights, we catch 5 Arapamia the first day and some catfish, Arapamia up to 120kg, the next day 3 Arapamia up to 100 kg, some different catfish and one Siamese carp about 30kg, the accommodation was terrific with nice rooms an a wiew over the lake,everything very nice and clean. Must be 5 stars ⭐️

There is nothing not to like about EFT. Mike and his staff are very friendly, helpful and professional. The lake view bungalows are very clean, comfortable and have superb views. The food is excellent not only taste but presentation as well. The swimming pool area although still work in progress will be excellent once the aquarium is finished Now the fishing - WOW Firstly the fishing salas are excellent with all amenities even sunbeds in the bigger salas which was great for my non fishing wife. The guides were helpful and friendly The fishing was awesome with many species caught - Arapaima, Chao Phraya, Ripsaw,Amazon & Asian Catfish, Aligator Gar, Siamese Carp and Stingray. Thanks again Mike for a wonderful trip I will definitely be back

First of all... WOW. What a view! The mountains, the lake, palm trees everything is beautiful! The service was really good, nothing to complain about. Breakfeast and lunch is affordable and delicious. The fishing is just amazing. I did spend 2 full days of fishing, and my only regret is that I did not booked a full week at Mike's lake where it is possible to stay at his resort with the stunning views.

Having just spent 2 separate days there fishing I cannot reccomend the lake and facilities highly enough. I caught some amazing fish upto 260lb. I will definitely be making a another trip back hopefully next time will be a longer stay in the accommodation. Five stars well deserved. Jim boyle

I visited mike bailleys place in phang nga for 2 days fishing and an overnight stay in their lodges and OMG! The setting and scenery is breathtaking, the lodges are pristine and luxurious, the staff are fantastic. But that aside the fishing is incredible, I had a very knowledgable and helpful guide who helped me bag 18 fish (8 different species) over 2 days, all of which personal first species and absolute monsters! Lakeside food and drinks service all day and the food is excellent. Ideal for solo or group fishing, very relaxing atmosphere. If you come to Thailand and only fish one place, do yourself a favour and make sure it is here! A+ 😊😊😊
