Bulla Regia was the highlight of our trip to Tunisia. Definitely a don’t miss. Love how up close and personal you can get with the ruins. Our guide was the perfect mix of informative, funny and didn’t over talk the whole day. Car was clean and comfortable. And lunch, was better than expected for a tour meal! Good job!

We were picked up on time, car was comfortable and our Guide Mohammed was knowledgeable. Dugga is a beautiful site and tells lots of stories of history. Our guide took us to a wonderful local restaurant for Lunch and because I am vegetarian, he arranged for a delicious vegetarian meal for me, that was the best meal of my trip to Tunisia! Worth taking this tour.

This was one of my favorite tours in Tunisia. Our driver and guide were top notch and happily answered all of our questions on life, culture and history of Tunisia. The whole day I felt safe while traveling in our small group and would use this company again on a future trip.

Nejib was an outstanding host and guide--in spite of the fact I was having a bad day! I was really exhausted after the previous day's tour, and overslept leaving Nejib and his driver looking for me and wasting their time, though they could not have been more supportive and understanding. Once we found each other, they were completely unfazed, although I made us late--so embarrassing. We traveled quite a distance to Bulla Regia to see the most amazing ruins and in-tact mosaics I have ever seen. Unlike other ruins I have seen in Italy and Greece, the ancient Romans dug into the ground in Tunis, to build the lower levels of their homes, benefitting from the cool of the ground in the desert heat. You can go down into the homes to see the mosaics they had on the floors, only because the country has not yet been able to protect its ruins and their beauty by protecting them in a museum. From there we had a lovely lunch at a hotel in the area, and continued onto the ruins at Dougga. Nejib is a seasoned guide, he knows his history and has a profound reverence for his country's riches. Dougga outshone Bulla Regia with the most amazing and complete Temple I have ever seen of the ancient world, as well as the rest of the preserved city. A goat herder was moving his flock through the 2000-year-old road as we arrived--setting the tone. Nejib was profoundly gracious, generous, forgiving, understanding, supportive of my physical limitations including being slow and out of breath, and I felt very safe and protected by him. He handled all the communication, and my only regret was that I did not have an appropriate amount of currency with which to tip him and the driver, which I very much wanted to do, as they went above and beyond to ensure I saw what I had come there to see, and that I left with a profound understanding of Rome's legacy in Tunisia. I cannot recommend Nejib enough to a group or a solo woman traveler, as I was. I particularly hope my compatriots will improve on my unfortunate state that day, which Nejib so graciously endured.

A remarkable glimpse into ancient Roman life in Tunisia. Spectacular, well preserve ruins. Yes, Dougga (Thugga) is monumental in scale, one should not miss the underground homes and stunning mosaics in Bulla Regia. Our guide Mamdouh Haloui was outstanding! His depth knowledge left no question unanswered - whether is was about the archeological sites or contemporary life in Tunisia.

As a solo, female traveler who has been on 20 tours in the past 12 months, all around the world, i can safely say I've certainly had my share of experiences. This tour, easily being the greatest I've ever taken.

Early (7AM) departure from Tunis to head west and see 2 ancient city ruins - one a UNESCO heritage site. Professional driver and informative guide. Arrived back in Tunis around 3PM which allowed time for some evening activities.
