I do not have enough words to express how extremely happy we are with our walking tour. Tracy was such an excellent guide. Honestly, it felt more like we were exploring a city with a knowledgeable and charismatic friend than simply being led around by a tour guide. We saw so many amazing things and learned so much about Buenos Aires. We ate delicious pizza and got tons of recommendations on how to spend the rest of our days. Booking this tour was easy. Everyone we worked with was super helpful and responsive. Tracy was flexible and intuitive and and was open to entertaining all of our questions, from tango to history to ice cream to pilates to etiquette (when you’re together for 7+ hours the conversation can have a pretty wide range). We would be delighted to work with Tracy again!

BA is a huge city but Chris was able to show us a lot in 6 and a half hours. Knowledgeable about the city history and myths made our day very enjoyable. Highly recommended

My wife and I did a two day walking tour (4 hours each day) with Buenos Tours. I had used them about 11 years ago and remember the tours were excellent, so decided to go with them again, this time with my wife We were not disappointed. The tours were well paced, very informative, and extremely interesting. Our first day was with Chris and the second with Tracy. Both guides treated us very well, asked what we wanted out of the tours and tailored the walking tours to our requests and interests. Our guides were very interesting to talk to, gave us a brief history of Argentina during the walks, and took us to all the interesting places in Buenos Aires a tourist should visit. We highly recommend Buenos Tours and wish to thank Chris and Tracy for taking such good care of us.

We were able to customize our tour to avoid duplicating stops with another tour we have scheduled. Chris was great, very knowledgeable about BA, and was able to offer the perspective of someone not born there, but with strong ties to the area. The day of our tour was quite warm, and he noticed that I was starting to flag, and made suggestions for shortening the remaining tour, while leaving decisions entirely up to us. Highly recommended!

Our all-day walking tour with Chris gave us an excellent orientation to Recoleta, Retiro, Central and San Telmo. Chris is friendly, well-informed and more than happy to linger in the places we found most interesting, and ready to move on briskly through the places of less interest. The Cemeterio is essentially a gigantic monument to the wealthy and powerful. Evita’s family tomb is less ostentatious than you might expect. Moving on through Recoleta and Retiro, we discovered shops to come back to on another day. In one neighborhood, Chris shared an amusing story of two lovers thwarted by a domineering mother, and the architectural revenge taken by the rejected suitor’s family. The monument to those Argentines killed in the Malvinas War is deeply moving. All along the walk, we visited lovely parks with stupendous rubber trees. For me, these living giants were the best architecture of all! We had a terrific bistro lunch at Confiteria Ideal on Suipacha… the empanadas were delicious! Then on to see the changing of the guard at the cathedral that houses the remains of General San Martín followed by a delightful change of pace strolling through the charming San Telmo neighborhood. All in all, a marvelous day-long experience led by a personable local expert who made the trek a memorable excursion.

This customizable walking tour was a great introduction to Buenos Aires. We went from La Boca to Recoleto over the span of the tour. Our guide, Oscar, was knowledgeable and friendly. He gave us a good understanding of the development and growth of BA and Argentina. If there is something specific you would like to see, let the guide know. He was extremely flexible and accommodated our requests. We would definitely recommend this tour and Oscar.

Our tour guide, Oliver, picked us up at the Sheraton and began a comprehensive tour of Buenos Aires. Oliver was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He took us through the neighborhoods of San Telmo, Palermo, Recoleta, Retiro, Microcentro, and La Boca. Oliver shared his vast knowledge and historical stories with us. By having this tour at the beginning of our stay in Buenos Aires we were able to further enjoy our time in Argentina.

The tour gave us a great taste off the city. We had a short time in Buenos Aires and Chris was wonderful, very knowledgeable & showed us all the he could He probably would’ve showed us more but the shopping distracted us ! I highly recommend this tour especially if you don’t have too much time in the city and want to see as much as you can.

I wrote to them to take a tour and get a generic response saying they would get back to me. I waited. I wrote again and again. Never responded. Very frustrating.

A solid choice for a private walking tour of the main attractions in the city of Buenos Aires. Buenos Aires is a big city and there’s only so much you can see in a day on foot but this was a great alternative to the typical city bus tour. The tour operator did a good job communicating with us prior to our tour date and were quick in helping us make accommodation changes to our tour due to last minute changes in our travel plans and we were very thankful for their assistance with that. Our tour guide on the day of was Chris and he did a fantastic job guiding us throughout the day and giving us a lot of history and information on the city of Buenos Aires. Some attractions we came across included the neighborhood of San Telmo, some empanadas at a local empanada cafe, then towards the city center, Plaza de Mayo, Casa Rosada, Catedral Metropolitana de Buenos Aires, Avenida 9 de Julio, the Buenos Aires Obelisk, Confitería La Ideal, and Recoleta Cemetery. It started to rain halfway through the tour unfortunately but Mother Nature is not something we can control. Overall, we enjoyed it and appreciated the personalized small group private tour experience to introduce ourselves to the city of Buenos Aires. Big thanks once again to our guide, Chris for being the one to lead us! - Nolan

Walking Tour with Chris from BA Private Walking Tour - group of 6 - excellent communication with Alan prior to see what we were interested in - wanted to do both La Boca and Recoleta so no problem to add an hour on. We covered La Boca, San Telmo the city centre and Recoleta - long day and it was VERY hot. Chris adapted for us we went and was also helpful in taking us to change cash. For those concerned about the "walking" for 8 hours - we cabbed to La Boca and then caught a bus from there to San Telmo and a subway to Recoleta. Stops along the way for water, lunch etc

This full day tour was one of the best tours we have taken. Tracy was very knowledgeable and her passion for the city of Buenos Aires made this tour extremely interesting. Several distinct and different neighbourhoods were showcased and visiting local cafes and shops gave a very well rounded glimpse of Argentinian life in Buenos Aires. Special thanks to Tracy for going above and beyond expectations by ensuring that we completed our souvenir shopping and then brought us back to our hotel neighbourhood at the end of the tour. Many many thanks for a wonderful day! Sherry and Lee C.

This was a fantastic tour of the city. Our guide, Tracy, was so knowledgeable and fun to spend the day with. We saw every part of the city that we wanted to see and more. It was like spending the day with a good friend who wanted to show you her city and give you all of the information that you wanted. It was one of the best tours that I have taken and I highly recommend Buenos Tours and Tracy.
