This was a great trip and we highly recommend Joker Expeditions. We flew from La Paz to Uyuni and spent the afternoon and sunset at the salt flats, stayed in Joker’s great little hotel in Uyuni that evening, travelled through the desert the next day and to the border and San Pedro de Atacama the following morning. Al was a fantastic guide - very personable, helpful and knowledgeable. Jose, our driver, was great. Highly recommended.

We loved our trip with the tour guide Leroy and our driver Nilfer from San Pedro de Atacama to Uyuni salt flats. We are still wondering how Nilfer was able to find the right roads but he did a fabulous job! As for Leroy what an exceptional tour guide - he was very knowledgeable on all the areas we saw, and was very happy to chat about all aspects of life in Bolivia. Not to mention, he is an incredible photographer and willing to go the extra mile for the perfect picture. Thanks to the team for a wonderful trip and we highly recommend Joker expeditions to use for your next trip whilst in Bolivia!

I’m not really sure how to review this trip. First off, Joker Expeditions was not the operator of the tour. They arranged transport from La Paz to Uyuni, and let me use a hotel room to shower and change, which was actually very nice. Then though, they drove me to another tour office and said here, this is your tour- no real explanation or anything. Andes Salt I believe was the agency. The most glaring error by Joker, was on the final day. The tour was listed as arranging transport to San Pedro de Atacama and help with border crossing. When we got to the border crossing the driver asked me “so, how are you getting to San Pedro?” I was truly stunned, like I have no idea- it was supposed to be taken care of by Joker, I thought. The tour I was with had absolutely no idea what I was talking about and apparently they said I was supposed to arrange a bus myself from the border into town. Andes Salt wasn’t able to take me there as they couldnt cross the border. This makes sense I suppose but clearly there was absolutely zero communication between the 2 companies about what happens then. All attempts to call Joker were met with no response. I ended up having to pay a random person $20 USD to take me into town- which he definitely did not have to do. Any border crossing can be chaotic but this was really next level, and truly not okay to leave someone stranded on the edge of the desert. I’m lucky I brought cash or I would have been S.O.L. Andes Salt- tour was quite nice. We saw a lot of cool things and everything seemed to flow well. Accommodations for the 2 nights were really basic- think cold nights with no electricity, but that’s pretty normal for the area. My tour guide was clearly very intelligent and explained things pretty well and even joined us in the evening to relax and have fun. They deserve more than this review- but this was my whole experience Overall a confusing experience, I would certainly not use Joker again, but Andes Salt- go for it.

We took one day flight from la paz to uyuni and stayed for one night in Uyuni in Hotel Palacio de Sal (which I would recommend for extra cost but it’s so worth it! As it is the first salt hotel in the world!) everything was so smooth and very well organizad Jose and his team were amazing people and we had so much fun and love the salt flats! Also Liroy was an amazing tour guide and a very talented photographer! Christian was our driver and he was amazing as well. I highly recommend this tour! It’s so worth it and you will get to meet amazing people!

The tour was INCREDIBLE!! Cannot recommend Uyuni and the Salt Flats enough. I was so glad I did the 4-day tour, because the magic happens beyond the Salt Flats. Rolling mountains, cute animals (flamingos, pecunias, llamas!), lagoons, sunsets, and seeing the entire milky way. The problem was that the tour wasn't actually run by Joker Expedition. They arranged the bus and the hotel I got to rest in for three hours when I arrived, but after that I was handed off to another tour company. I found out that I paid 2-3x more than everyone else on my tour. Lesson learned - don't book anything if you're outside the country. Wait until you arrive!! You'll get the same experience for much less money.

The incredible scenes of salt flat, lagoons of various colors, colorful mountains and the very high altitudes we had traveled through from 3800 meters to 5000 meters, being able to flamingos close up.

The original and the untouched phenomena! This trip has changed my mind and my soul once more time in a positive way. It is the highpoint of my this South America trip. Operations: Quite many tour agents offer the similar tours, and they are using and sharing the handful real tour operators who provide the tour guide, the driver, and the 4x4 vehicles. Our tour guide: Dedicated, love this land, and very knowledgeable! Our 4x4 vehicle driver: the best! Physical environments: It could be a challenge to the people who wants to approaching to it if this person is not prepared for, due to the high elevation, sun exposure. The real actions of 4x4 vehicles in the most remote locations. Simple loading.

100% recommend this tour company. We made our own way to Uyuni via night bus to start the tour and Jose gave us a hotel room where we could freshen up and rest, as well as have breakfast before the tour. Our guide Israel was very knowledgeable and a very talented photographer too! Our driver Chapo drove very safely on all terrain. A fantastic experience!

Booking: I was looking for an extra special tour to do with my girlfriend (now fiancé). I contacted 3 different tour operators as I wanted a good itinerary and price. Jose at Joker Expeditions is the best tour operator. Not only did he understand my needs he also was very personal organising our transfer to San Pedro Atacama. He booked our PCR tests, printed all documents for Chile immigration and transfer on the Chilean side. The accommodation that Jose was able to secure compared to the other companies was so much better to. Atipax hotel was the best room, bed and shower we have had in South America. Tour: we were met at the airport by Isreal - very clear sign with name on it. We made our way to the car where we met Abel - our driver. The car was a newer Land cruiser which had been very well maintained. From the get go we could see Isreal and Abel were looking after us and doing everything they could to ensure we had the best experience. They did everything to get quiet spots and make sure that they beat the other buses. We were told before that we had missed the opportunity of the mirror effect as it was May. Abel and Isreal made it happen - they said some drivers and tours know they have to drive a little further for the locations but we would do it. And it was worth it. We sat down to the most amazing sunset I have ever witnessed. Without any further spoilers about the tour. I would 1000% recommend Joker expedition. Get in contact with Jose - he is super friendly and supportive if you need any assistance or help. If you are lucky enough (or want to request Abel and/or Isreal) you will for sure have an amazing time in Bolivia.

Conocer el Salar de Uyuni fue mi sueño por muchos años, hasta que por fin pude vivirlo. Como viajero uno hace su búsqueda y reserva con la esperanza de hacerlo correctamente, debo decirles, no busquen más ESTA ES LA MEJOR AGENCIA. No podemos estar más agradecidas!! Fueron días mágicos recorriendo los paisajes del altiplano. Pero lo que puedo destacar es la atención y comunicación siempre de José, la puntualidad al recogernos, la calidad del hotel como de la comida, la increíble pasión por su trabajo y amabilidad de Ronald nuestro chofer y guía .. todo fue wow!! Cruzamos la frontera hasta el desierto de Atacama, no nos tuvimos que preocupar por nada, ellos se encargan de todo.. y lo hacen perfecto.

Volcans, geysers, termes chaudes, canion, la cité enchantée, les lagons blanc, vert, colorée et bien sûr le salar de Uyuni. Et bien plus encore. Mais ce tour c’est aussi la rencontre avec Rolando qui répond à toutes les questions et partage son savoir. Attentionné et chaleureux! Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour ! A Joker Expedition foi a empresa contratada pelo passeio de 3 dias que fizemos saindo da cidade do Uyuni. Desde o início, muito fácil acesso a eles pelo WhatsApp. Sempre respondiam rápido e explicavam claramente. O passeio de 3 dias foi super completo, visitamos tudo o que estava no roteiro do que eu queria conhecer e ainda mais! Tivemos muita sorte de ter como guia o Grober, que foi fantástico! Explicava tudo sobre as atrações e nos ensinou muito sobre a cultura da Bolívia para nós. Ele tinha muito boa vontade com as fotos, super gentil e de bom humor sempre também. Os lugares em que ficamos hospedados, dentro do conceito do local, foram bons e a comida incluída nesses 3 dias estava deliciosa (inclusive se preocuparam com uma de nossas amigas, que é céliaca e vegetariana). Super recomendo e se retornar ao Uyuni, com certeza busco essa empresa novamente.

Salty desert Se quiserem visitar o deserto do Salar de Uyuni recomenda-se mais que esta agência, o guia Michael. Não é só uma visita ao deserto, conheces toda a parte sul da Bolívia e é uma forma simples de chegar ao Chile sem complicações (os guias ajudam em tudo e tratam das burocracias e transportes). Por fim, o guia Michael apresentou-nos o seu país com uma atenção e carinho extraordinário. Se o grupo em que fores inserido tiver um espírito de aventura o Michael vai conseguir criar a dinâmica de união entre todos e elevar a experiência a outro nível.

Tour organizzato perfettamente in ogni dettaglio con tutte le destinazioni più interessanti. Cibo e sistemazioni buone. Oscar super guida, come anche gli autisti sempre disponibili e simpatici. È bello vedere persone a cui piace il loro lavoro e la loro terra!

Fue una experiencia inolvidable. Superó nuestras expectativas. El guía Paul es excepcional, siempre atento y preocupado porque todo salga bien. Los alojamientos espectaculares. La comida muy buena. Los lugares que visitamos maravillosos. Paul nos dio el tiempo suficiente para disfrutar el paisaje y sacar fotos.

Es war ein wunderbares und unvergessliches Erlebnis. Die riesige Salzebene, die Kaktusinsel und die vielen Lagunen und Flamingos, einfach nur schön! Wer 5-Sterne Hotels erwartet ist hier natürlich fehl am Platz, die Unterkünfte sind sehr einfach, die Fahrt teilweise recht holperig, aber es ist ein Erlebnis. Wir waren eine super Gruppe mit 2 Geländewagen, dem Guide Marco sowie Driver Michael.

Expédition exceptionnelle. Ma femme et moi nous sommes retrouvés dans un groupe de 5 personnes (nous deux, un jeune couple d'Allemands et une Danoise) accompagnés d'un chauffeur prudent et d'un excellent guide (Eusebio, que je vous recommande de demander...) qui parlait très bien anglais et avait réponse à toutes nos questions. Les lieux visités sont remarquables ! En revanche ne vous attendez pas à trop de confort. Même à 5 on est assez serré dans le 4x4 et les hébergements sont très rustiques (surtout le 2e dans notre cas).
