The boat and crew were fantastic. The passport control on either side were unbelievably incompetent, so disorganised. It’s not like they were doing it every single day! Also much confusion about timings. The ticket said the return sailing time was 1600. As we left the boat a sign was held aloft stating 1500. Factor in the time difference between Kos & Bodrum left us completely lost. It turns out the 1500 sign meant that’s when the passport control opened. A very simple solution would be a sign saying Current time in Bodrum xxxx, Passport Control opens at xxxx, Boat departs at xxxx. So easy to do and no confusion.

Lovely day in Bodrum. Although the trip was shorter than expected as the ferry did not arrive until 1.5 hours later with no explanation as to why, so we had less time in Bodrum. Bodrum was lovely though and would still recommend

Beware of companies that will lie to you about everything from trip duration to port of arrival. There are fast speed boats that make the trip in 30 mins and others that take up to an hour to get there. Salespeople are ready to blatantly lie about travel times. The older, heavier boats (like Malena) falsely advertise making the trip in 30 mins but actually take an hour or more.

Travelled by taxi to Kos Town thinking the driver was going to the wrong place. In fact she was right and took us to customs where I had a mare getting through with a Northern Cyprus stamp on the passport.Great boat trip and Bodrum was a bit overwhelming so have a plan.Walked up to the Mausoleum one of the seven wonders of the world. Not much there but I’ve been.Bargains to be had and some unusual football shirts for sale although fake.

Very long to clear passport controls both ways. The market don't stop wanting you to buy thought there confuse you and rip you off BE WARNED. So not much rest when there.

Loved this trip to Bodrum, the boat pickup and drop off was easy to navigate and I was provided with all the information and assistance I needed. A lot of people have left negative reviews regarding the heat and queuing times, I went in October which is out of season and had no issues with this whatsoever. So perhaps if it's the hight of tourist season and extremely hot, you might want to avoid a trip like this. But for us it was perfect

Don't be fooled into booking a 20 min day trip from Kos to Bodrum! The ferry might be 20 minutes but the QUEUES at Kos passport control both ways - were terrible ( 1 hour going out and 2 hours returning.) Kos Harbour management is the worst experience of border control I have had. No shade, no seats, officials shouting at you, makeshift infrastructure etc whereas the Bodrum side was clean, efficient etc. The Turks have a significantly better system than European Greece! A complete waste of money, time and holiday!

I went for a solo trip to Bodrum from Kos, the crew were very friendly, the trip was easy, cheap and beautiful. I would recommend doing so if you’re staying in Kos. One thing I will say is that the customs do take a while that is part of any departure from the port unfortunately that cannot be avoided, keep your passport safe and ready for this trip.

We had a fun trip. The boat ride was comfortable and the times of departure and return were perfect. We bought some sigarettes in Bodrum to bring to Greece, the crew warned us that we had bought too much (unbeknownst to us) and had to be careful at customs in Greece. Maybe you could warn people beforehand. The crew was super nice!

Not a very good trip at all. Squashed on a small boat with too many travellers/tourists, very claustrophobic indeed. Then when you get to Bodrum you have to wait in huge queues in passport control in red hot sun, coming back again a huge queue for up to an hour in full direct sunlight, i think i had a bit of sunstroke i nearly passed out, no umbrellas or tarpaulin to queue underneath queuing in 30 degree heat at 3pm in afternoon to get through passport control, Bodrum passport control need to address this issue as i can imagine people must have passed out with extreme heat at peak times. I certainly wouldn’t recommend this trip unless you love huge queuing Bodrum itself was lovely, although all of the shops are the same, however you can get some great copies of designer stuff.

Travelling as family of four we done this day out yesterday. We had a great time taking in the views on the way there and back. The boat crew were nice, friendly and very experienced. Turkey was lovely to visit although we only looked around the port and markets. There’s something for everyone regardless of age and everyone was welcoming. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone who is thinking of going. The queue for customs was long but they are quick.

You have to really, REALLY want to go to Bodrum to endure the hardship of this journey!! If you really like buying fake goods then maybe it's worth it but you will be queuing in the heat most of the day. Told to arrive at Kos Pory at 9.30am. Held on the quay for an hour and boat finally left after 11. Queue at Bodrum not bad but had to wait 15 mins on the bus to the town with just a fan, no a/c, and had a very hot and sweaty 20 min ride around the houses to the bus station. Meant we finally arrived at noon and we were already tired, thirsty and in a bad mood! The people of Bodrum are friendly and we had a nice enough lunch, again with no a/c so very hot... Why did only the fake goods stores have the nice a/c!?... Then returned to Bodrum port. 45 min queue to pass customs in the heat with various people jumping it annoyingly. Finally got to the ferry which is quick enough but then held at Kos port for longer than the trip itself from Bodrum to manage the passport control queue at Kos. Sprinted to be ahead of the rest when we finally disembarked... I was done with the endless queueing in the heat... So just a 15 min queue for me but another boat arrived after us so they would have been at least an hour with just 2 desks manned at passport control. In total, we must have spent 3 hours waiting around today, all of which was outdoors or in a bus, with no air conditioning. Mid 30s in the shade. Be warned. I suggest you avoid this trip

Yes of course the cue was quite long to get to Turkey but that is nothing special. It is important and part of the deal. Very nice trip with very nice and happy staff and we would definitely recommend it.

Waited for 3 hours at Kos port. No shelter, just unrelenting 34° sun and an empty drinks machine. There were 5 ferries at the port waiting to disembark and only 2 passport windows open. When you book these trips, they do not tell you that you'll be waiting for hours or that there's no shelter or seats either end. Twenty five minutes to Bodrum. Not too bad. Don't do what we did and read the menu prices in Euros instead of Turkish Lira at the port restaurants. Ended up being a really expensive do. Don't bother with the bazaar. A total waste of time. It's a fleapit. Kos town is much nicer than Bodrum so save your money and stay in Greece.

If you are unsure whether you want to do this trip I would avoid it. If you are sure, then definitely do it! I would also not suggest this trip to anyone who isn't okay to queue for a long time at border control (around 2 hours entering/leaving Greece/Turkey). We had no issues getting collected or dropped off, but the coach that collected us had a different company name to the one we booked with which was confusing. There was a coach trip which we were not aware was included in the tour, but we chose not to go on that trip and instead walked around the town and visited the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus which also had a very cheap entry charge. Restaurants in Bodrum were very cheap, especially if you visit any off the main street. The market was interesting and didn't feel too busy.

Was a good trip and we enjoyed seeing Turkey. Defo recommend going on a Tuesday as there is a market (Bazar) in the town. The only down fall was that when we were going through passport control to get back to Kos, it was very poorly organised. There were no aisles to queue in and it was basically a free for all. This caused a lot of pushing and shoving. It wasn’t a great experience, especially in the heat.

I had to rate this a 1/5 when really it’s a zero!! There was hundreds of people stranded in the sun, babies scorching and crying. My daughter even fainted due to the extreme weather conditions. There was a delay checking us in through passport control to start with and then we were made to wait in another queue, it was that bad we decided against going on the trip, However They then made us change queues and queue with four other boats that had come in to go back through passport control, this took us two hours to get out of there, and in this time our original boat had still not boarded…….. a complete disaster from start to finish. If you want to be treated like a dog and spend hours in the heat and wasting a day of your holiday I strongly recommend you book it!😡.

Do not do this for your own sanity. We queued for 3 hours in kos, then another 45 mins in bodrum. After arriving at the port at 9 (as told by the tour operator) we arrived in bodrum town after 1. Most of the queuing was in direct sunlight. Bodrum is not worth going to see either. Special mention must go to ali babas on the walk into town from the bus station - they are a terrible advertisement for turkey - we got completely ripped off. They put unasked for Garlic dips, fries and bread on the table and charge 5 euros for the dips and a tenner for the fries and bread - complete scammers. We had 3 staff crowding round us when we were querying the bill. They also put on 20% service charge despite it being effectively a take away with a few tables outside. Hopefully other people had a better experience but this day has sadly soured our view of turkey for life. We had intended going next year but will look elsewhere in future. Queuing slightly better on the return, only 90 mins April, grand total of 5 hours queuing in the day. Oh tour operators also told us the tax was included but we got charged 75 euros tax on the top as well. Horrendous experience
