We did both similan and surin islands trip and if you had to pick one I would 100% recommend surin islands. The entire day was incredible, we loved the moken village, it’s a short stop only 30-40 minutes which is plenty time to walk around and take plenty pictures as it is absolutely stunning. The beach spot for lunch was lovely, we didn’t fancy the lunch so we brought snacks and bought an ice cream on the beach, as everyone else was having lunch we had about 40 minutes alone on the beach which is pristine turquoise blue and incredible. The three snorkel spots were perfect with gorgeous coral colours and plenty of nemos! I have snorkelled in Australia, the Caribbean islands, Fiji and more and this was probably one of the best. The guides are brilliant, plenty of water juice and snacks, the speedboat is a little bumpy and whilst deafeningly loud at the back with the engines it’s better for sickness, they also give out sea sick pills! overall the day was fabulous.

Only 3 sessions of 40 minutes of diving on a one-day trip. Buffet lunch meal without any interest. A real tourist factory No human contact, well-rehearsed speeches. Guides prefer to take photos of themselves on the beach instead of communicating with tourists.

Mass processing... after arrival you get the tour is super organized and the guide is nice too, but the trip is more like mass processing. After arriving at the harbor you get breakfast with about 120 other guests and have to check in first. After a good hour it starts. With 60 people in a speedboat, where you get announcements in English and Mandarin using a megaphone. On the speedboat you sit relatively close together. There is not really any room to put on sunscreen or undress. Snorkeling stops are nice

First of all, I have to say that the snorkeling itself was very nice. However, there were a few things about the trip that let the quality down. As always, everything was mass processing, which I can understand. The guides made an effort to be there for everyone. In general, everything seemed well planned, except for the beginning at the pier. The selected snorkeling spots were convincing. However, lunch was a bit of a disaster (in my opinion). The visit to a village on the beach also seemed more like a "zoo visit". You could buy all kinds of souvenirs from the residents, but the whole thing was more like a display. In the village in question, the amount of rubbish on land and in the water was also quite high. The buffet on the pier, however, was varied and good. While snorkeling, we discovered numerous fish, including Nemo. All in all, it was okay, but it could be better. Thank you very much anyway!

We get to know paradise during an excursion. Small downside on the transformation of the Moken village into a giant souvenir shop. I think they could do without such a rush if the entrance fees to the park were more expensive.

An excellent tour and very well organized. There was enough time to snorkel at each spot. Small recommendation - combine the distribution of the shore excursions and snorkeling spots. ;)

I loved the Surin Islands, the guides, the meal, however 70 people on the boat, no room to change and move, and too bad we stayed in the same bay

Great snorkeling experience, super clear water - not too touristy like other excursions, the trip to the village a bit strange - like in the zoo - residents rather bored by many tourists. Swimming shoes are recommended, as you have to walk in the water to the boat, it's rocky...

Way too crowded on the island while eating
