Great to see another part of the island! Through Viator I picked a hotel near us for pick-up; but no one came. I called the number at Platanos and they told us we were supposed to be at another hotel. They said they’d sent an email. I didn’t receive the confirmation email until the end of the trip the next day. And in that email, another hotel was indeed listed. All very confusing! Viator issue or Platano issue? I don’t know.

They cancel the activity and we received the information later during the day. We were very disapointed.

Our English speaking guide was excellent. The driver of the main bus drove extremely fast, crossed over double white lines repeatedly and intimidated other drivers of sedans so they pulled off to the side so he could pass them. We had enough time at the three sites but it is a very long day…almost 12 hours door- to door.

Very nicely put together tour. A lot of people on the bus and it takes a long time to pick up passengers and drop them off but overall very cool trip and you get to see a lot of different places.

Terrific day trip. Katerina was an excellent guide, knowledgeable, excellent English, and very enthusiastic and friendly. The bus driver was also very excellent. Great background information and great visits to beautiful cities on Crete. A full day in a comfortable bus, very worth the money.

The towns we visited were beautiful, Chania was especially nice, lots of narrow old streets filled with shops and the harbour was a great place to sit and people watch. Our guide Catiana was excellent, she gave us lots of information en-route to the stopping places. The lake was ok, but it’s best to use that time to have something to eat with a lovely view over the lake. The only reason we didn’t give it 5 stars was due to the bus being absolutely crammed full, although that was bearable for my wife and myself, if you are a tall person you may struggle with leg room.

It was a long but great day- travel agent was super explained so many facts and places- Chania was crowed because 3 cruise ships were in Souda Port.- The lake was relaxing and quiet and last but not least Rethymno was our favourite place.

Very well organised trip. Going to Chania we stopped halfway for coffee and toilets, which was very thoughtful. In Chania had 2 hour free time, then went to lake Kournas, had 1.5h free time, if you are not very hungry throughout the day it is better to have your lunch around the lake due to beautiful scenery and you'll have more time then (there isn't that much to do around the lake, unless you actually plan to go swimming in it). Then we set off to Rethymno city, there we had 75min free time. The guide told about the cities and Crete while we were on the bus so in cities we had all our time to do what we wanted. Overall good enjoyable trip. Would recommend!

Chania and Rethymno are charming cities! Of course the perfect weather made for some lovely pictures too :) the guides were very good and nice. Leave lunch for the lake and use your time in the towns to capture their charm.

A very long tour but worthwhile. It was 12 hours from pick up to drop off, which is too much. The Harbor views in Chania and Rethymon are gorgeous. Lake Kournas was also beautiful. The guide was competent and helpful. The tour company is professional. The tour price was very reasonable. I would recommend cutting the stays in Chania and Rethymon by 30 minutes each and Lake Kournas by 15 minutes to reduce the total tour time.

The trip was lovely, the thing that spoilt it was the tour guide. I had injured my knee a couple of days before, I couldn't keep up with her, we even got left behind as the traffic lights changed and she carried on without us. My husband explained the situation from then on, she made it quite clear we weren't liked

This is my second attempt to write a review on this experience, hope this one goes through! Very unorganised, a lot of time wasted waiting for minibus bringing people to the big bus, too much time at each location, this excursion took approximately 11 hours and could have been easily cut down to 7-8 hours Didn’t enjoy the company of the tour guides, they need more training on soft skills Bus was old and seats worn out Three languages in a day excursion is too much, could have used three smaller buses or allocated different days for different languages

Moyen economique de visiter Chania, Réthymnon et le lac Kournas. Bon chauffeur et aussi guide competente et motivée. Toutefois, compte tenu du temps de deplacement et d’attente des clients qui montent à bord de l’autobus, nous croyons qu’il aurait ėté preferable de limiter la visite aux deux villes de Chania et Réthymnon. Le diner, vers 14h30, pourrait alors s’effectuer à Rethymnon en bord de mer, pour y passer quelques heures avant de repartir pour Heraklion.

Déçue par le peu de temps pour visiter ces deux villes. On a eu qu'1h30 pour visiter Rethymno alors que dans le descriptif il est indiqué 2h et 2h pour Hania la Canée... Au pas de course, alors que la ville est riche en découverte. Entre les deux, un arrêt au lac de Kournas, de 1h30 (alors qu'il était prévu 1h) sans intérêt. Certes les transats sont gratuits mais dans un état qu'on n'ose même pas s'y allonger. C'est pas très bien entretenu.. cette pause ne sert qu'à se restaurer pour ne pas perdre ce temps dans les villes.

Excelente organização. Parabéns! Ficam a conhecer as melhores cidades de Creta junto ao mar, com bastante animação, restaurantes, bares e lojas para todos os gostos.

Preis-Leistung ok. Zu lange Pause am See. Späte Rückfahrt. Hotel Abholung pünktlich. 2 s7:35 Abgahrt vom Hotel. Bis alle Reisenden abgeholt wurden, waren es 10:30 Uhr. 2 St in chania. Hafen sehr schön. Der See war klein . Viele Bootsverleiher. Rückfahrt durch die Hotel Anfahrten sehr lang. Ankunft 21 Uhr. 7 st im Bus.

Sehr empfehlenswerte Tour, um die Westküste von Kreta kennenzulernen. Die Reiseleiterinnen haben viele interessante Details erzählt und so wurde auch die Fahrt nicht langweilig. Chania und Rethymno, beide Orte traumhaft schön. Auch der Kournas See hat mir sehr gefallen..das war genau die richtige Mischung für eine schöne Tagestour.
