Overall the trip was very quick for a lot of driving. We only got to spend 2hrs at the site and did about 3-3.5hrs of driving (one way). Transportation notified me at 4am that our pickup time changed from 430 to 415. And that is actually quite a bit of time. Our guide was very informative and kind however difficult to find in the sea of vendors calling out for you so at first it was a bit stressful but turned out okay. The tour also did not last very long which was pretty disappointing. Overall I’m happy I went and it was worth it but I don’t think I would visit again

Abu Simbel: is the place to be to learn about ancient history.

Excellent value. No trouble.

Guide Walid great, however the transport is an ordeal: my partner and I were at the bottom of the minibus (admittedly air-conditioned and on time), without armrests or headrests. 3h30 to go and 3h30 to return is very complicated in these conditions, especially when you leave at 4am. Price much too high for the service (drinks/lunch/entry tickets not included!). On the spot you stay about 1h30, you will be back in Cairo around 1:00 p.m. / 1:30 p.m.

I don't think the Egyptologist guide is different in terms of notion from the normal guide. at least this was the case in our case and therefore the difference in price is not justified.

Unforgettable day at the temples of Abu Simbel. About 3h30 by way from Aswan and 2h on the spot (enough to visit the two temples). Thank you to our two drivers who drove very seriously and took turns on the outward and return journeys. And thank you to Whalid our guide on site for these explanations and his enthusiasm.

We got picked up in Aswan around 4 ish am. We drove towards Abu Simbel. There were 2 drivers. I think the plan was to drive directly, but we asked for a toilet break, which was approved. The space in the car was not much. So it was hard to sleep. We paid for entree at the place. The guide, Walid was good and answered us all the questions, moreover he also took pictures of us. We got back to Aswan around 2.30 pm. The temples and the history of them is impressive. If you choose this trip, remember a pillow, water and something to eat, because you don t get to eat neither breakfast or lunch.

Excellent site. You have to visit it if you come to Egypt. Hotel pick-up is on time and transportation is comfortable.

It was a very long ride to spend there least than 1 hour. Our guide had another group at the same time so he was alternating between both groups, he seemed to be in a hurry during the tour and at the end we barely were there for one hour altogether. Anyway he was nice.

Very good guidance! However, if you are already paying for a personal guide, I find it unnecessary to ask for a tip.

We left the hotel at 4.10 in the morning, at 8 we already arrived in Abu Simbel, there were other tourists in the car, the guides took everything apart and went on individual excursions. I liked everything, except for the mini bus, I am 160cm tall, even I did not have enough legroom, my knees rested on the front seat, my neck was numb. There was no lunch, but there was a stop near the "shop".
