Gaby gave us a great local experience. We visited places only a local could find. The food was authentic and fresh.

On Monday, April 1st, my mother and I embarked on the Lima Colors and Flavors walking tour, a delightful fusion of food and art. Despite starting off with a challenge as our hotel was far from the tourist hub of Miraflores, and battling through heavy traffic, we managed to connect with the tour company via WhatsApp to inform them of our delay. Thankfully, they graciously extended our wait time and had a guide ready for us upon arrival. Welcomed warmly by Ms. Aura and her colleague Mr. Carlo(?), our tardiness resulted in a more intimate tour group, which added to the charm of the experience. Ms. Aura, our knowledgeable guide, not only provided us with the day's itinerary but also shared fascinating historical insights as we traversed each destination. Despite the initial apprehension of engaging with strangers, Ms. Aura's amiable demeanor created a comfortable atmosphere. Her evident passion and deep understanding of Peru instilled a sense of pride in her work and country. Venturing off the beaten tourist path, we explored local haunts, indulged in authentic cuisine, and immersed ourselves in the vibrant culture and music of Lima. Be warned, the tour is a culinary feast, so wearing stretchy pants is advisable! I highly recommend this unique experience, especially if led by the exceptional Ms. Aura.

Our tour guide was excellent! He was knowledgeable, engaging and adapted the tour to appeal to my 12 year old son. Overall it was fun, informative and delicious! I totally recommend this tour

This was my 2nd time in Peru and I decided to try the colors and flavors tour with my family. Cesar was our tour guide again and as usual we had lots of fun. The food was outstanding! Absolutely delicious! We were picked up on time, there was excellent communication with the office etc. This is also a wonderful introduction tour to Lima and the wide selection of food available.

The tour is just amazing! We have tried a rainbow of flavours of local fruits and food at various places such as Miraflores, Chorrillos and Barranco. Our guide, Cesar is super knowledgeable, funny, engaging and provides great tips to get around Lima. I would recommend all the food and culture lovers to join this tour. Go with a free and open mind when tasting and walking around the barrios in Lima!

We found Haku tours on the Tripadvisor website, and on the off chance decided to sign up for their 3-1/2 local market and food tasting. Best thing we could’ve done. Junior and Gabriella were enthusiastic, knowledgeable and wonderful ambassadors for local producers and off the beaten path locales. We would unreservedly recommend them and encourage active support of this initiative.

Enjoyed all of it, our tour guide, Aura, was charming and very knowledgeable. We can summarize the experience in two words: fan-tastic!

Amazing tour! The tour organizers were so communicative and made sure I was ready for my tour. The best of all was the lady who took me on the tour, Gaby. She was amazing. So patient with me when I wanted to know a lot of stuff and she explained everything in detail and as clear as possible. I had a really great time.

I spent the morning with Gaby and our driver was Alejandro. He was a safe and good driver. Gaby was very knowledgeable and felt like I was spending the morning with a friend. We had wonderful conversations and I learned much about the history and the local neighborhoods, the foods, the culture. It was a great experience and I’m glad I booked the tour. Amadeo was our tour guide for the Local Colors & Flavors Walking Tour and he was amazing. So friendly and informative, positive attitude. My boyfriend and I were picked up from our hotel promptly and headed to pick up one other couple. We stopped at two different markets, tried amazing foods & fruits. Toured the art of Barranco. We actually chose to stay in Barranoco and grab a drink instead of heading back in the van since we liked it so much. Would absolutely recommend to try some of the authentic Peruvian foods!

I had a great time on the Lima Colors & Flavors tour with my guide Gabriel. My partner was ill so it was a private tour where Gaby was my friend and tour guide, taking photos, enthusiastically answering all my questions and switching into Spanish for the last part of the tour for me to practise. I had been recommended Haku Tours by my parents who visited Lima 5+ years ago and I can only speak positively about my experience - Gaby was extremely knowledgeable about Peruvian food and culture and made it really fun, the driver was very smiley and friendly. We went to two food markets - all the food was delicious and super fresh - and to the bohemian area of Barranco to have a look at some bright murals reflecting different aspects of Peruvian culture. We even took back some food for my partner so he didn’t miss out - it was very thoughtful. Overall, 10/10 experience - you must go on a Haku Tour in Lima. ¡Muchas gracias Gabriel y Haku Tours por la experiencia!

As a solo female travel, this was the perfect morning trip to get to know some of Limas food and art as well as neighbourhood. Gaby was a fantastic tour guide: she had so much knowledge and love for Peru. Juan was a wonderful driver. Could not have asked for a better trip!! Thank you
