Nick met us near the steps from our ship and drove us in a very comfortable Mercedes minivan. He is both the driver and a very knowledgeable guide and asked us what our interest was in touring the CinqueTerra in order to craft a personalized tour. He arranged for a guide to meet us and escort us throughout our day. Lisa, our guide, helped us get tickets for the ferry on the way to Manarola and for the train upon our end of the trip and escorted us back to Nick. We were back to our ship in plenty of time before it sailed. Nick has excellent English and told us many interesting facts during our ride from the ship and our ride returning to our ship. We highly recommend this experience.

To rate Nicola Scovenna a 5 out of 5 is an insult. They deserve at least a 10, but it wasn't a choice. After contacting Suzy we agreed on a package , getting us between 4 cities. She suggested turning the longest leg from Rome to Sienna into a day trip vs. just going from point A to point B. It was a memorable day with new friends. We made several stops along the way including Orvieto (with an awesome lunch), Pienza, Montepulciano and the De'Ricci wine cellar, and on to Sienna. The day couldn't have been better. Additional legs to Livorno and Florence (through Pisa)went better than planned, with helpful local history and suggestions of more places to explore along the way. All our drivers were professional, friendly and timely. Our experience couldn't have been better.

We had a day out with Paolo to Pisa & Florence. The group was me & my husband and our 3 kids ages 15, 13 & 10. It was so easy! He collected us from the pier at 8.30am and had us back in plenty of time for the evening sailing. We had plenty of time in Pisa - nice & early to beat the crowds. Then to a view point above Florence and dropped off in Florence with a map, some great tips on where to go/not to go, advice on restaurants & cafes and a clear pick up point. He was pleasant, knowledgeable & friendly. It just made for such a relaxed and brilliant day out. Well worth the money which wasn’t much more than the 5 of us going on a cruise excursion with lots of other passengers on a coach. This felt very luxurious in comparison! We’d definitely use this company again!

Our tour is for Pisa and Florence in oct 23 from theport of Livorno. The vehicle was a merc that can easily fit 6. The drive was amazing especially through the Tuscany region. Paolo our driver was very friendly, spoke excellent English and most of all very knowledgeable on the places we visited. For a family of three, the tour was a real value for money compared to the bus tour organised by the cruise ship (Celebrity X). Paolo waited for us within walking distance from the ship and bring us back within the time allocated- 8 hours. The best part is, there was no time wasted as compared to big tour group. The communication/ any queries with Nicola Scovena was promptly answered. Very professionally. We had an amazing time.

It was a great experience to work with Nicola. He came highly recommended from a friend. After emailing with Susy, she understood my hopes for our time in Rome, Pisa and Florence and helped us in every way! Susy communicates well and makes you feel confident that all the details are being captured. We enjoyed all of the details that Susy, Nicola and Luca put together for us! We had a great tour of Pisa and Florence! Maria Clara was our tour guide and went above and beyond with our group! One member of our group had some mobility issues and she made so many accommodations so everyone could have a good time!

We arrived by cruise to Port Livorno in Italy and wanted to rent a private vehicle for 7 of us to go to Pisa and then Florence. Nicola was very warm and friendly, he was our driver and the owner. Susy, the coordinator, was very responsive to emails. She was quick and informative. The vehicle was spacious and perfect for myself plus 6 elderly relatives. Nicola took us to wherever we wanted. The drive and day was tailored to our needs. The key thing is that this is a family owned and ran business and I support family owned and ran business 100%. I feel that there is a sense of commitment and passion when it comes to family business. I truly recommend Nicola and Susy for any transportation or tour needs when you are in the area, Pisa/Florence!!!!!

We had the best tour driver, Maria Clara. Maria was prompt, very knowledgeable, an excellent driver and made sure our tour included her personal recommendations for places to visit and eat while in Florence. My husband and I were very pleased and would highly recommend both the tour company and the driver.

Most comfortable van for our party of 8. Nicola was awesome. 4 hour guided tour of Florence seeing everything including visiting both museums and walking tour of historic district. Then 2 hour wine tasting in Tuscany. Winery had its own farm in which we sampled their homemade salamis, fresh tomatoes olives and eggs and local cheeses. Very reasonable shipping of wine to the US. Then 1 hour in Pisa. We even were treated to their favorite geloto in Livorno before returning to boat. By far our best stop and tour of entire cruise.

This is my second time using Nicola for a Rome excursion. Maria was so sweet. She drove us safely through a thunderstorm. She let us nap on the car ride in the morning because we were still tired. The process of reserving is easy. We all enjoyed our day.

Absolutely wonderful! So friendly and willing to work with our extra large group including providing car seats for the kids and setting up two vehicles to fit our entire group. Great communication. We had a great time and highly recommend this as an option for a cruise excursion to make the most of your limited time ashore. We quickly went straight into Pisa to see the leaning tower then onto Florence where we were dropped off at a great restaurant for lunch and given instructions for meeting back after exploring the city for a couple of hours. On the way home we stopped at Piazza Michelangelo for a great photo. Highly recommend!

Paulo was an excellent guide. He took us to out-of-the-way places so we could fully experience our tour. He gave us an excellent recommendation for a lunch and gelato spot and we had plenty of time to explore Florence. Would highly recommend booking with Nicola Scovenna.

We had the best day in Port. Maria was the best driver. She made the long car trips very enjoyable. Such a fun day from start to end. We customised our tour to meet everyone's needs. We had a great guide in Florence taking us to Statue of David, Ponte Vecchio etc.. We finished the day in Pisa climbing the tower before returning to the ship. We are so happy we made the decision to go through Nicola's Private Tours it was one of the best we organised for our European tour.

We had the most amazing day in Florence. Maria Clara was an outstanding tour guide telling us all about the area while we were traveling. She gave us great directions, got us to exactly what we were looking for, and made sure we saw all the top sights of Florence and Pisa. One of our favorite days of the trip!

We were on a cruise with a party of 13. Drivers and ride to Florence was great. They dropped us off and picked us up at central location in Florence. This allowed us to pursue our own activities - be it visting the Uffizi, shopping on Ponte Vecchio or just walking around. They suggested very good place to eat as well as leaving a little early so they could take us to a spot with great panoramic view of Florence. The price point was very competitive given size of group.

We were a family of 7, and Nicola picked us up at our cruise ship, brought us to the leaning tower of Pisa, then to Florence. He was wonderful!! We never felt rush. He made sure that we had time whenever we stopped. He was very knowledgeable. We couldn't have asked for a better guide.

Company is very professional and their communication is outstanding. Our tour guide, Paolo, was passionate about the region and his love for the people and area he calls home was evident. I wish we could go back on the trip and experience it once again.
