Absolutely incredible. Some of the best views of my trip. Once we set off, around 20 minutes later we saw dolphins, then around 20 minutes later we saw seals! The crew are unbelievably friendly and have brilliant humor, they even let people into the cockpit and steer the boat! (Once again the captain was super friendly.) Once we came back down from the cockpit we were handed out fish cakes with tasted incredibly good, and the hot chocolate was also super good. Once we were coming back to Tromsø the crew invited us to be told all about the boats history (which I didn’t know a boat could have so much of a backstory.)

The ship is beautiful and historic and I knew I wanted to go on it when I saw it. To my surprise, Hermes II also had the best team I have ever experienced on a tour and I have done many all over the world. Each and every crew member, including the captain, had a real conversation with me sharing their experiences and asking about mine. They ensured every passenger was comfortable and enjoying the trip. They searched out wildlife and provided historical information. What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon in Tromso. I highly recommend it!

Really enjoyed the trip. The Hermes II team were super helpful and very knowledgeable. The team were interesting and attentive. The boat was clean, toilets spotless, drinks plentiful. Options to get warm, and there were arctic suits if needed, which I used. They were clean and very warm. Staff could not have been more helpful. Very friendly. Highly recommend as a way to see around Tromso and learn a bit about the history.

We loved everything about the Hermes II! The Crew were so fun and knowledgeable, and served the best blackcurrant hot drink. They had thermal gear for the folks that got cold, had storage for our laptops, and were always happy to chat and answer questions. The history of the boat is also so fascinating, but I guess you'll have to book to find out what I mean!

Loved this experience! So cool to see Tromso from the water and hear about the history of the boat! Captains were very friendly and knowledgeable. We saw some eagles and seals!

The scenery was stunning; we saw snowy mountains, seals, eagles and even jet fighters! The crew were great - the talks were interesting, they were friendly and realy knew how to look after the visitors. If you don’t bring warm enough kit, they’ll give you a hot drink and a thermal suit, and you can just carry on. If you go with young children, then perhaps have a backup entertainment option for them, as the crew are happy for them to sit downstairs.

The crew on the Hermes 2 were very professional. The guide pictured was especially welcoming and humorous. They told us about the areas around the fjord in both summer and winter. Any questions we had They answered. Sometimes they gathered the whole ship to tell their stories and other times they spoke to individuals. There wasn't a time when I saw any of them just stood around. They were also very attentive with drinks, frequently asking if we needed a top up of blackcurrant or tea. We drove through the fjords which had great weather on leaving tromso but the snow began to pick up as we drove further out. This was a different experience and the warm blackcurrant was much needed at this point. They have an inside part to the boat but we spent the majority of the journey outside enjoying the elements. At one point we drove past some seals all huddled on a rock which was pretty cool. Take warm clothes although they do have suits for people to wear who are slightly more unprepared.

This trip, this experience was totally useless. Nothing was seen and it cost a lot. Absolutely not recommended. I would like those who write reviews to tell the truth and be objective. Don't do it but don't do the Fjord Cruise by any company. Not worth it

Weather wasn't the best, but the service and history lectures by deckhand john made up for it. We went to where the German ship Tirpitz was sunk in WW2. History of the vessel is interesting as well - over 100 years old.

Well done cruise. Extra suits available to keep you warm in the cold weather. Places below deck to sit if you get too cold. Hot drinks included in the price which was welcomed. Children really enjoyed the trip. The skipper and the captain were engaging for young children and made the trip more fun. Great scenery.

My wife and I had so much fun on this cruise, despite a mix of grey skies, rain and snow the crew were enthusiastic and passionate about their ship and the wildlife/history in the area. The boat is a really lovely piece of history and very comfortable, and the small group we were with were given blankets and all the hot drinks we could ever need to ensure we were warm enough to enjoy the gorgeous views! Such a strong recommendation to visit these folks, you won't regret it!

Excellent trip of 2,5h around island of Tromso. Amazing team providing a lot of information about historical places . Delicious fish “warm cake”. Recommend.

Very lovely and enjoyable experience. The team were spot on and professional. We have seen many places and reindeers down the boat trip. The fjords/sea was thankfully settled and no big waves all along. The food snack and hot tea were perfect for the slightly chilly wind!

We enjoyed a very informativ cruise through the harbor and fjords near Tromsø. The crew (locals) was very accommodating and answered every question we had (about the ship, Tromsø and the wildlife). If you are interested in some of the local history while enjoying the scenery and seeing the wildlife there, this trip is highly recommended (even though it snowed a lot during our trip, we would recommend it anytime).

My family of four including our 7 year old daughter and 17 month son enjoyed our 2 1/2 hour boat trip so much! The captain and crew member who was in charge of our tour were both very friendly and helpful. It was cold (but it is February) out on top of the boat but down below was clean, comfortable and warm. We enjoyed our hot cocoa and fish-cake snack! My daughter wishes we could have stayed out all day and would love to go again. We saw great fjord vistas, eagles and seals swimming. Thanks for the great boat trip!

We booked this trip just few hours in advance as another operator cancelled our original tour. We didn't know what to expect but it has been a great experience. The captain and the other sailor on the boat were really nice, they told us the history of the boat and many other things. We also managed to see some wildlife. If you are in Tromso, you should definitely arrange a trip on the Hermes II.

Had a great time on the Hermes II today! Knowledgeable crew and comfortable ride featuring awe inspiring sights around Tromso. Saw seals, an eagle, and even a rainbow! Gorgeous boat and a highly enjoyable way to spend part of your day. Would highly recommend!

Viewing Tromsø and the fjord from the boat was a stunning experience! I was simply transfixed amd in awe for the entirety of the trip. The crew was incredibly welcoming and it was obvious they love what they do! Truls is an amazing guide and made the trip so much more interesting with information about the wildlife, the landscape and the history of the area and the boat. The boat is gorgeous, very well maintained and authentic, transporting you back in time. I loved every second spent on the trip and I truly recommend it to anyone visiting Tromsø!

This was the most amazing experience ever. The boat cruise around Tromso was really magnificent. Truls, the host on the boat is absolutely professional guide. He can tell you everything about the nature and the wild life in the Arctic circle. Thank you very much Truls and Captain Trudo ! I hope we will see you again. P.S.
