My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our one day tour of Fes with Khlafa. He tailored the tour to our preferences so we could visit all our desired spots. Since we wanted to try Fes' street food, he took us through the Medina alleys to stores that had the best Moroccan food, in addition to the places included in the tour. Khlafa is extremely knowledgeable about Fes and was very professional and friendly. We learnt a lot about Fes' history, culture, food and people. I highly recommend this tour to everyone who want to experience Fes in its most authentic form.

I learned so much and felt like we were in very good hands throughout our tour of this complicated medina where getting lost would take only 2 minutes if you didn’t have a guide! We were a group of 9 and we all got what we needed and learned so much! No boring facts, but a valuable eye-opening education. Our guide, Khlafa was not just incredibly knowledgeable, but so very kind. I felt sad to say goodbye after the tour and wished we had many more days to learn from him.

Khlafa is a very knowledgeable tour guide and he contacted me when I arrived in Fez and gave me some reminders to be aware of the scammers on the street around Riad. Thank you for the kind reminder! My favorite part of the tour was going to a really fun mint tea shop where the mint tea was really delicious! The less favorite part is that when I visited the tannery, I bought a belt from a leather store out of goodwill, the store owner offered a price of 60 euros, although I managed to bargain down to 30 euros, I still felt it was overprice for an ordinary belts, but I am not really enjoy the bargain process so I just settle with the price. Other than that, the whole tour was good.

We were fortunate to have experienced the treasures and history of Fez with the thoughtful guidance of Khlafa Etasefar. His knowledge of the history of Fez and his expert navigation of the Medina and all that it offers made our day with him not only educational but also one of the highlights of our travels around Morocco.

We had an amazing tour with Khlafa. He was extremely knowledgeable, spoke fluent and understandable English, and went above and beyond for us. We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel, given food and activity recommendations, and he even helped us haggle! He cares deeply about his country and wants to share it with visitors and will go out of his way to protect you from scams and inferior/inauthentic/overpriced goods. Khlafa took us to places that locals, not tourists, tend to go. We went to an amazing tea shop that we will remember forever that was hidden away where we would never have looked. At his suggestion, we ended our day at a hammam and loved it. A majority of the souvenirs we bought on our trip came from this tour; we highly recommend bringing a spare bag!

Trip Advisor doesn’t have my category represented. I am a mother/daughter world traveler. My daughter is now almost 23 (not a teen) We booked out half day tour and it was efficient and quick and well organized. Although I had specified that I had visited Morocco before, and all of the cooperatives (rug, ceramic, tannery)…we still ended up at the ceramic co-op and tannery which is also a co-op. I hate these experiences because of the HUGE pressure to buy. If I want to buy, I will buy. The prices are also never good in the co-ops compared to prices outside of them where if you know the difference in quality, or have local friends/contacts, you will know that you. Am do better elsewhere. Also, if you have already visited these places you don’t need to waste an hour at each place to learn the processes again. After the ceramic place, I respectfully asked that we NOT attend any more cooperatives, but that we wanted to take stones to the Jewish Cemetery and walk the Mellah and souls around there. Our guide was very efficient and accommodating. Also very informative and kind. I would recommend this tour for those wanting to see a little bit of Fez, or if you don’t have much time to visit Fez. The price through Trip Advisor was fair (about $125!for the both of us) plus a tip for the driver who drove around for the first bit of the tour to the xo-operatives.

Khlafa was an amazing tour guide, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! So knowledgeable of the history, great English and shared unique cultural experiences with us. Clearly well respected in his community as many greeted him throughout the day. Had we decided to explore on our own we would have missed so many incredible opportunities.

I cannot begin to describe what a gift this tour was. I know I paid, but my friend and I received a private tour, just the two of us that was a perfect blend of history, orientation to the city (how far apart things are from each other), and shopping recommendations. If someone were to put together a list of “highlights of Fez” or “only 1 day in Fez” this tour covered all of them! They picked us up at our Riad included transportation, and were so generous with their time. While I trust all guides who provide this particular tour are great, I have to compliment Mohammad (the tall one who wears glasses-there are multiple in the company). Mohammad kindness as a human emanated throughout every moment of the day. I felt like he did more than “show us things” he genuinely shared his day and his home with us. He even made sure my friend was getting a fair price for the leather jacket they bought! He made reservations for lunch without us asking, he just knew we would be hungry and made arrangements. He also knew all the shops. At one point I asked, “where could we buy musical instruments?” And out of thousands of shops in the Medina he just gradually took us to one on the way to our next stop. It was also beautiful to see him just existing in his hometown-saying hello to friends and family as we passed. It felt like we were being hosted by a trusted and loving family friend.

We had a fantastic tour with Khlafa. We did the cultural full day tour with him and saw so many parts of Fez that we never would have found on our own. He is VERY knowledgable, well respected, and a pleasure to spend time with. Thank you Khlafa for introducing us to your amazing city and for teaching us so much about the local culture. We highly recommend you use him as your tour guide!

Our guide, Khalfa, was exceptional. He gave us the history of the Medina and surrounding area that allowed us to have greater understanding of the people and the history of the area. I felt like we walked away realizing how this incredible society has survived for eons. Additionally, it was really cool to get clarity on the impact the Arab world has had on so many things, such as, mathematics, algebra, science in general, word etymology etc. I would highly recommend this tour.

The tour itinerary says the weavers are part of the tour, however we did not see this even though we asked about it. We thought Khlafa would be our guide since we were communicating with him, however someone else did the tour. We recommend booking elsewhere.
