I had a great time visiting the Acropolis with Evanthia from ‘withlocals.com’ She is amazing! I was initially unsure if i could climb to the top of the Acropolis with some issues i have but she made it possible for me - in fact when i climbed to the top i didn’t believe my eyes - i thought we had to climb more but that was it!. She carries with her the friendly nature the people of Greece have and made the trip a memorable one. We also had lunch at a local restaurant which was delicious and later coffee at a traditional cafe. If you or someone you know are planning a trip to Athens and looking fir a tour guide then you might want to try ‘withlocals.com’ and ask for Evanthia. I am sure you will have a great time!

With her archeology background Evanthia took us back in time with vivid entertaining stories and lots of humour. After exploring the Acropolis together, she guided us expertly through the highlights of the Acropolis museum including the Parthenon marbles. Highly recommended!

We would thoroughly recommend Arianna who took us on a comprehensive visit around the Acropolis and museum. We were complete Greek novices and this was such a great experience on day 1. Arianna’s encyclopaedic knowledge of all things Greek and Athenian have given us a good grounding of both the sights we saw and also subsequent things we have come across- ‘oh yes- Arianna told us about that’. The tour was excellent. Alex was a fantastic guide. Very patient and went along and at a pace that we were comfortable with. When you only plan on being somewhere one time, you want to get the most out of the experience. Alex was very good at helping us get every conceivable thing that we needed out of the trip. Arianna was very knowledgeable about the history of beautiful Athens. Her references of movies comparing to the stories were understandable and really funny. Listening alongside her book of visual cues from the past to now made learning and absorbing possible. The Acropolis Museum was spectacular, one of the best museums I’ve ever seen. But in reflection it was Arianna’s ability to tell the stories and reasons behind the exhibitions that made it flow and feel so accessible. As we walked out of museum she pointed us to an amazing lunch spot, and suggested what to order. Again nailing it!!! I’d recommend her to everyone.

Our family (with three kids 15, 13, 11) had a great tour of the Acropolis with Costas. He had a huge amount of information which was communicated clearly and at a good pace. Our kids were kept engaged and he involved them through out the tour. We learnt a lot and Costas seemed to go with our interests and in the direction of our questions which was great.

The visit to the Acropolis would have not been the same without the experience and expertise of our tour guide. Alexandros was our tour guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable and took his time with us to show us the beautiful history of the Acropolis. The tour was 3 hours long and the timing was perfect. Communication with the team was easy and Alexandros was in our meeting place just in time. I would recommend this tour to anyone with limited time in Athens.

We had four hours with Costas on a private tour. Costas really brought the place to life. He told us lots of stories which were easy to remember. We understand the timeline of of events. He took us to all levels of the museum and connected what we saw and heard about at the Acropolis to what we were seeing there. Highly recommended.

We hired Dimitris for our first visit to Athens to view the Acropolis and museum. Unfortunately, our only available day was the first Sunday of the month when all entrance fees are waived. It was jammed packed and instead of waiting hours in line, we decided to take a walking tour around the sights. Good call on Dimitris’s part. So much more fun. He is so knowledgeable and easy going. Enjoyed our day with Dimitris, and when we return, we will definitely call on him again…hopefully not on a free entrance day!

Alexandros (Alex) gave us a complete 3 hour experience, perfectly on our pace and engaging throughout. The tour of the acropolis and museum also set us up nicely for unguided tours of the Agora, Mycenae and Epidaurus. Communication ahead of the tour was easy and spot on!

We were fortunate to have Alex lead our group of four through the Acropolis and Acropolis Museum. He shared stories and pictures that brought the ruins and statues to life. The pace was perfect, and Alex knew where best to pause along the way for a short story or photo opportunity. We could not have been happier with the experience.

The tour was very informative! The guides always know the best items to share, skipping lines, take the best pictures etc. if you want to immerse yourself with the history of this area, highly recommend this tour. Best not to wear sandals, saw many people with the wrong footwear.

Arianna was a knowledgeable, efficient, and entertaining guide. We were scheduled for an Acropolis tour during storm Daniel and during the first week of the new time slot system. It rained, it was cold, and it was windy! That never slowed her down. We had an incredibly fun and educational experience despite the challenges. Highly recommend Arianna as a guide!

We had a great tour of the Acropolis and Museum with Costas. Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed learning about the different sites within the Acropolis and our guide was very knowledgeable and did not overwhelm us with information. Definitely wear.comfortable shoes since the walk up and around the top is uneven and can be slippery. Also, we had to pay separately for the tickets to the Acropolis (20 euros each person) and for the Museum (15 euros each) within a time slot. Make sure to download the actual tickets to your phone since they scan them to gain entry. Costas sent us a link to go to for the tickets. Most of the three hours was spent on the Acropolis with about 45 minutes in the Museum at the end with him pointing out highlights and then letting us look at the rest after the tour ended. I would highly recommend this tour if you don’t want to be a part of a big group and want personalized attention.

Arianna was great! She’s an endless fountain information. She adds so much to what you’re seeing. I would love to have her along on all our excursions.

We absolutely loved our tour with Alexandros! He welcomed us warmly at the beginning and remained so friendly throughout the entire tour! He has a vast knowledge and passion for all things Acropolis and Athens. We do not think we would have appreciated the history, museum, or Parthenon nearly as much had we done it on our own. My husband and I both agree that our tour with Alexandros was the highlight of our time in Athens so we would recommend him to anyone!
