Our guide, Sergio, was so knowledgeable and his insights and information made our tour so fascinating! What an incredible archeological treasure Pompeii is. Touring with a guide is a must because they are a wealth of knowledge.

Our tour was originally booked for an earlier day but we had to cancel due to illness. Rebooking was easy and swift, and our tour today round the marvel that is Pompeii was made all the more fascinating by our terrific guide Yolanda. Charming, knowledgeable and excellent at considering the children in the group as well as the adults. The two hours flew past and we would happily recommend Askos Tours and Yolanda in particular as an expert and friendly guide to this one-of-a-kind global treasure, Pompeii.

We had Andrea as a guide and he was amazing. He kept my 15 year old engaged and we heard so many facts. We don’t know how we would have experienced Pompeii at its best without this tour. Paolo was excellent and kept the whole group entertained throughout the tour. He was very knowledgeable and answered everyone's questions.

Our guide Silvia was fantastic. She kept us engaged and entertained and imparted so much fascinating information. She really made Pompeii come alive for us.

When we booked the tour we had made sure that the itinerary would include the house of the Faun and Vettii and to our disappointment the archaeologist not only didn’t take us there but when we politely pointed it out to her the answer was quite rude. She spoke non stop for the full two hours and waisted much time often repeating herself . To be honest we are sorry to say that it was a rather tiring guided tour instead of an enjoyable one.

With our excellent guide archaeologist Julia this was the perfect way to be introduced to and explore Pompeii. Julia gave us such a wonderful 2 hour tour that was so historically knowledgeable but also interspersed with interesting Roman life stories. As well as showing and us giving the history of all the main sights, Julia then suggested other parts of Pompeii that we could see afterwards - because you really need up to 4 hours to get around this large area. Thank you Julia.

Paolo from Askos Tours was our archaeologist and he was great. Good human, good information and made the tour much more enjoyable. I believe Pompeii wouldn’t be the best tour on your trip if you didn’t have a guide as there isn’t much to explain what it is you’re looking at. Highly recommend.

We were 10 minutes late. The staff from the company told us the guide has already started. He showed me a photo of the tour guide on his phone and told me his name was Alfredo. "You can't miss him". As soon as I entered the archeological site we realised that there was no way we could spot our guide with all the people there. I asked for his mobile number but they would not give it to me.. "data privacy protection" whatever.... I asked them to get the guide to call me. " We can't get through to him..". "Nothing we can do sir.." Zero effort never use this service. They just want your money of course no refund. Terrible service..

The tour was perfectly scheduled and execited, Giovanni was so nice and supportive, answered every single question, helpful, hearty, this made the tour even more excelllent ! The Signore Driver was charming, nice , all in all this was wonderful day ! Thank you for all, i will come back again for sure !

Our tour guide was a lady called Antonella, a classical archaeologist. She was absolutely amazing: great English, likeable personality, knows her material even better than we could have hoped for, and gave her best to give us the best possible experience. Total recommendation, we are absolutely delighted!!

Alfredo, our guide was very knowledgeable. With the use of his pre-prepaired visual aids, it really helped to bring the background story to life. He was also very personable; adding some humour into the explanations where warranted which also helped in keeping the group interested. Overall, Alfredo was excellent.

We had a wonderful morning exploring Pompei. Paolo is a great guide who provided us with the necessary info to be able to explore on our own after 2 hours. The tour was very capivating and 2 hours was a great duration. We stayed till closure time. We would definitely recommend!
