Lubo was beyond fantastic with this tour. He offered many helpful tips before we had the tour through his great correspondence. We had a snag in our flight so we couldn’t take the tour with the rest of our group. He gave them an excellent tour and handed them a gift to give to me since I had booked the tour and was missing it! His thoughtfulness and going way beyond what would be expected is exceptional. We had an excellent walking tour with Lubos, who is exceptionally knowledgeable and immediately was able to tailor the tour to our interests- and delight. I mentioned a love of coffee and we went to two coffee shops that were a trip highlight for me. My husband has a scholar’s knowledge of European history and politics and Lubos was able to engage with him on a scholarly level that added even more context to what he had read in several books on Trieste before we went on the walk. Lubos was great and we highly recommend him!

We had such a great time with Lubos, we had a thorough and interesting tour of Trieste, we felt that we saw all the major sites, and Lubos’s knowledge was amazing. He was well prepared and provided both written information and leaflets . The tour was a mixture is of history, culture, language, and hospitality this tour covered everything . Trieste is fascinating with history from the Romans through to the Austrians and then the 20th century. I would thoroughly recommend this as a place to visit, and also this is a great orientation tour.

Lubos, our guide, had a lot of knowledge and was full of enthusiasm. We enjoyed ourself and learned a lot about the history of this multikulturalisme facinating part of Italy. He also introduced us to coffee bars and some of the many churches in the city. Lubos had prepared relevant literature for us to continue exploring Trieste even after he had said his goodbye.

We had with us a more dynamic 17 year-old History lover with more detailed questions and a 75-year old, slower walker Granny sometimes with silly questions and Lubos managed to harmonize the variable needs with humour, warm heart, incredible felxibility, thorough empathy and patience maintaining a relaxed, calm but very entertaining atmosphere, we fell in love with Triest because of Lubos.

Lubos was a wonderful guide -- friendly, knowledgeable, well-informed, willing to modify the tour to follow my interests and queries, and able to communicate his own interests and enthusiasm for Trieste in a wonderful manner. Most important, it is clear that he is a kind and caring individual, and the tour quickly felt more like 'hanging out' with a good friend! He went far out of his way to make sure that I too could fully appreciate everything that Trieste has to offer. This was truly an exceptional experience.... and I will treasure it!

This was a 2 1/2 hour walking tour of Trieste, and it was outstanding. We walked at our own pace (average I would say) and Lubos had a wide range of information about the old and new parts of the city. His English was very understandable - and he understood us as well. One stop for coffee (did you know Italians prefer to have their coffee standing up at the coffee bar?) and on to the next stop. Trieste itself is an interesting city, offering excellent restaurants, museums and shops. We are here to start a cruise, arrived a couple of days early so we could explore, and I'm glad we did - not only because our luggage didn't arrive until 2 days late, but because the city has so much to offer.
