Amazing tour that turned out to be just us because we booked it for December! Boris is awesome and such a great guide. You can tell he’s a great teacher. He’s very knowledgeable, brought printed photos to show further history of Split, and added his own personal stories that made the tour genuine. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Split!

This was a terrific tour of the Diocletian's Palace - I highly recommend. Boris was incredibly knowledgeable, articulate, and engaging. It was truly a small group, just 8 people, and Boris learned everyone's name and encouraged questions throughout. Boris was very easygoing in his talk but as a life-long resident of Split and professional historian, you could see and feel his passion for the palace and town. And he gave some great recommendations on additional points of interest, restaurants, coffee shops, and areas to visit outside of Split. Well worth it, you won't be disappointed!

My fiance and I had a great time on this tour. As a local historian, Boris was highly knowledgeable about Split and its very interesting history. We really liked the small group aspect of the tour - there were only 6 people in total, which allowed all of us to ask Boris questions and get the most out of the experience. Boris tried to tailor the tour to the group, bringing us to less crowded spots and going over time to make sure we saw everything. Would highly recommend Boris over another large tour group to get the best experience. Definitely worthwhile!

Amazing tour with Boris. After seeing the Diocletian's palace with Boris, it is hard to imagine a better experience. It is a crowded place in September with 1700 years of history and many nooks and cranny's. Boris not only explains what you are seeing, but shows but how each of the areas in this "city in a palace" has changed over time and gives personal tips for food, stores, etc. It is Boris's company so will always get him.

My wife I are were visiting Split as part of our cruise, and we wanted to find a local guide to help us learn more about the city. We were fortunate enough to book the "Experience Split with Local Professional Historian" and very much enjoyed the tour. Our guide, Boris, was clearly very familiar with the history, and did a great job of explaining it to our small group. Rather than just show us around, he explained what historians know and don't know, and offered some professional opinions are well that were very insightful. Our tour guide Boris is wonderful! Unlike some other guides who kinda slack off by saying some random stuff and just plater with your questions, Boris provided a well-organized, in-depth and logical introduction of the intersection between history, architecture, culture and people’s life in Split. It was a small group and we were encouraged to ask questions and engage in the tour. He wasn’t hustle and always took the time to listen and discuss with you. Also with a kind and polite vibe. His students are lucky to have him as a history teacher too.

Boris was knowledgeable and gave us a comprehensive tour of the city centre. He was also friendly and engaging, making the tour more interesting. Since it is a small group tour, it is much better than a big group tour in the sense that you can ask more questions and interact more with the guide. Boris was very helpful and answered all our questions. I also particularly loved how he shared his local perspectives about the impact of tourism on the community. I could also feel his passion to share about history with us -- he extended the tour for nearly an hour to give us the best experience possible despite sacrificing his time to accompany his family!
