I booked 2 trips from Chullos tracel at the office, 1 tour to Palccoyo rainbow mountain and another to Humantay lake. Both are absolutely stunning places to visit, albeit the hike to Humantay lake very challenging. However, the organization of the trips was not that great. Palccoyo: I was told I will be picked up from my hotel between 4.30-5. In the morning I got a message that I should go to a street corner instead. When I got there, there were dozens of minivans and I had no idea whom to search and also no internet to contact the tour guide. Luckily other guides helped me to locate him and after that the tour went perfectly. Humantay: I was told pick up will be 4.30 from my hotel. By 5am no one had showed up so I contacted the agency by WhatsApp, the phone numbers didn’t work (my hotel receptionist tried too several times) . Apparently Chullos had forgotten to inform the tour guide about my booking, so a taxi came to pick me up abd drove me to the breakfast point where i joined the rest of the group. Afterwards everything went smoothly and the tour guide took good care of me and the rest of the group. Both tour guides were amazing, gave lots of information about the sites. It seems Chullos travel use contractors rather than their own tour guides.

A very challenging but highly enjoyable trek to the glacier lake. The hike is over quite rough terrain which is not to be underestimated. Very advisable to bring water, electrolyte and snacks to stay hydrated and boost the energy levels. The view from the top is staggering, and can only be truly appreciated by being there. Photo opportunities abound.

I was part of a group tour to Humantay Lake led by Heber Forever and it was a fantastic time with him and the group. Heber was a first rate guide keeping things on schedule and running smoothly while attending to every need of each person in the group. He was kind and attentive guide that made sure we were safe and comfortable throughout our journey to, up to the Lake, and back to Cusco. Not to mention the driver was also very professional and safe. Heber is a great guide who I would highly recommend to anyone interested in visiting Humantay Lake since he’s professional, friendly, and all around someone who will make it a better experience for everyone under his care.

Hands down the most poorly organized excursion ever. Firstly, I had to call Chullos Travel Co 3x before I could even get a confirmation about pickup times or anything else. Then our bus driver drove around aimlessly for over 1 hour trying to scoop up other passengers some of whom were waiting over 1 hour. The tour guide also barely spoke 2 words of english. Trying to get details about how long we had to do the trek, where to organize taking a horse if needed, meetup locations, time to take photos, etc. was all completely random. He never tried to make sure everyone was together and doing ok. Only by luck did we manage to collect everyone from our group in 1 place. The tour bus was also a nightmare. Never have I had to sit on a more uncomfortable moving vehicle in my life for over 6hrs (3h each way). Riding the horse felt more comfortable than the van they picked us up in. I wish I had a better experience because Humantay Lake was one of the excursions I was most looking forward to. But the piss poor organization of this tour, the inept tour guide, and insanely uncomfortable transport made it one of the worst experiences ever.

Had a wonderful visit to Lake Humantay, led by Heber. He motivated and encouraged us along the way. The lake and its surroundings were beautiful! I'd definitely recommend this hike and tour company to others.

Great hike with incredible views! The lagoon is gorgeous for sure but the surrounding mountains also are incredible beautiful! Our tour guide Alberto was great and guided us through the trek and offered to take several photos! It’s a pretty decent hard hike, so make sure you are up for it before booking (horse ride is also an option at extra cost).

The tour was awesome with great views, although the hiking was a bit steep and difficult. The guide Heber was great, always careful in explaining everything and caring about our team Heber Forever!

The trek and tour to the lake themselves were amazing. The reason for the 3 star rating is that the bus was very uncomfortable. The row in the back had no reclining seats and it felt like we were sitting on a bench for 3 hours each way. In addition, it was overcrowded with 4 of us in that back row and the ride was bumpy which meant you were often bumping into strangers. They should limit the number of people in the bus to at least one less person or get more comfortable seats for such a long journey.

Heber Forever delivered us a good tour with his rich knowledge and passion! Highly recommend the tour!

Herbert and our team Herbert forever were amazing on this tour. The trek getting here was not easy and is not for just anyone. It is extreme hiking. We had no idea the level of climbing that was involved. However once you reach the final destination, it’s all worth it. The view is indescribable and looks like something out of a movie. Herbert, our tour guide, was very informative and attentive. Highly recommend!

One of the most extraordinary experiences I've ever had. Despite the incredible difficulty of the trekking, the final destination made it worthy each one of the 10 thousand steps. And a special note and thanks regarding the guide, Ernesto. Helpful, funny and capable of transforming a simple excursion into something amazing.

Wally always positive is our guide today, despite having people of different languages, he made sure everyone understood his information, he takes care of member that is not good in fitness, always encouraging us not to give up, he performed ritual with us at the lake and its so nice to be part of a culture, we are so lucky to have such enthusiastic guide, enjoyed the day

Our guide Herbert Forever had great energy and made sure we all got to the top. We took group photos which were phone. Had awesome weather. It’s any early wake up and it’s with it. The breakfast and lunch were good too.

Marcial is a good tour guide, fluent in both of English and Spanish. The driver Kyamelie is also nice. The lake is amazing. Notice the hiking is not easy, but you could choose horse instead.

You get an early start around 4AM, we had a comfortable van and a long road ahead. Our guide Wally made the tour even better with his positive vibes. He explained everything, took care of the group needs and even performed a local ritual for us. Añay Super Wally!

We had a great tour to Lake Humantay with Chullos Travel. Wally was an outstanding guide who was always in a very good humour. Great price-quality ratio as the tour also comprised breakfast and lunch and there were also vegetarian options. The lake itself was picturesque and just as amazing as in all the pictures against the majestic mountains. The hike was challenging but nothing excessive if you are in a relatively good shape. I would very much encourage able-bodied persons to go by foot instead of horseback to make most of the hike. The ritual that we performed in the end was also great as that enabled a small glance into the local culture and connecting with the nature. Special thanks to the guide Wally for this.

Exceptionally organised tour - highly recommend. Food is great. Wally our guide was always positive, funny, insightful and he made the challenging trek comfortable for everyone. You can pay extra to ride a horse up if required. Wally invited the group to participate in a ritual beside the sacred Laguna Humantay, which felt so special in the breathtaking landscape. He took photos for us and we were never rushed. Outstanding day!
