We had a wonderful time. The wines we tasted gave us a great introduction to the wine being produced in Hungary. We were very surprised at the quality of the wines! The instructor was very knowledgeable and personable. I would recommend this tour to anyone that loves exploring wines from other regions.

Wines were great but there was very little explanation for the wines and food pairings, we were left to drink and eat at our own leisure! Although the wines were explained, this is not suitable for first timers/ if you are seeking a more guided experience. We had to reschedule at very late notice and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and understanding in accommodating us onto another time slot! The sommelier was also very knowledgeable and friendly!

This was the best wine tasting we've ever done. It was billed as 8 wines in 2 hours, but turned into 10 wines in 2 ½ hours, not that we wanted to leave. Karoly was knowledgeable and generous with his pours, and the accompanying cheeses (we don't eat sausages) were delicious. We went from one excellent wine to another and learned so much on the way. And the people we shared the table with were so friendly, it seemed like a party with friends we'd just met. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

Our sommelier was full of knowledge and happy to answer our numerous questions. We were not aware of how much wine Hungary produced. The wines were varied and enjoyable. The atmosphere was amazing. Don’t miss this experience

John is fun, genuine, and he knows his wines! It was professional, and we also had time to interact, talk to eachother and just enjoy the food and drink the wine.

I have heard from multiple people who attended this is the past that this is a great tasting. The wines and snacks were delicious. The reason for the lower rating is due to the person who ran our tasting. He did not seem to enjoy his job and complained on how many tastings he had to do that day. All the guests at our tasting were wonderful and we hit it off right away. Wish the person running the tasting would have been a bit warmer towards the group.

Fantastic event! Great wines and very educational on Hungarian wine while being fun! Just the right amount of education and LOTS of wine! Highly recommend!

An all round very good evening. Excellent atmosphere in the pleasant basement room, good service and we were lucky to meet some lovely people who shared our table. The two individual taster plates of cheese and meats was good. We tasted six wines, plus a welcoming fizz and a lovely Tokaj to conclude.

Absolutely first class wine tasting. Very knowledgeable sommelier who took us through detailed explanation of wine regions and structures of the wines. Very generous portions of cheese & charcuterie and wine. All wines were excellent quality. Great way to meet other people travelling too - we all went out after the event. It’s was a very social Le event which I’d highly recommend. Would return. Thankyou.

We were part of a group of eight. We enjoyed interacting with the others, from the U.S., Australia and the U.K. Our host, from South Africa, kept the evening very light and open, informative but not overly burdensome with too many facts.

The wine tasting we had at Taste Hungary was a highlight of our trip to Budapest. Our time at Taste Hungary left us with a deep appreciation for Hungarian wine and a strong background in the country's various wine-producing regions and many native grape varieties. Our host went above and beyond, and for two wine aficionados, he surpassed all expectations.

Entertaining and educational. Super wines, cheese and charcuterie plates. Relaxed evening, great way to find out about Hungary. Loved it.

We had a party of 6 from the USA, and we all had a great time! Met people from Malta, Germany and Slovakia. Food pairings were perfect, and Carlos did an excellent presentation. Would definitely do again!

I highly recommend the Tasting Table in Budapest, and can't wait to return! We joined the 6PM tasting. It was a wonderful evening and the most memorable excursion of our trip. The wines were all top notch, and the cheese/meats/spread was a pleasant surprise. I ended up taking a few of my favorite bottles home with me, and some delicious pumpkin seed oil/dip and raspberry sauce that were included in the charcuterie boards. It was wonderful learning more about all of the different Hungarian wines, wine regions and Hungarian history. The service was excellent and friendly. It was also great talking and drinking with the other guests at my table (American, German, and Maltese). I will definitely be returning on my next trip!

As a solo traveler it’s not always easy to find group activities where everyone can chat and have a good time, but the way Taste of Hungary set up the evening made it a very memorable experience

A very nice introduction to Hungarian wines. The guide really knew his wine. The food was also fine.
