It was such a great pleasure to go on tour with Kathy. My itinerary included some things outside of the normal tourist interests. Nothing was too much for Kathy to help and put a program together that fitted to my wishes. The communication with her was fast and she has shown great trust. Not only did she provide with a great tour and driver, she also came with a better hotel suggestion at a similar rate than I had booked. I was picked up at the hotel, precise at the agreed time. Kathy gave me quite some information about the area, history of the region and of China in general. We left a bit earlier than normal, so we did beat basically all the crowd at the Terra cotta army, leaving us plenty of time to discover the rest of the day program. Nothing was too much for Kathy. If you are looking to get most of your time, just make sure to get Kathy on board of your time.

We only had a very short stay in Xi'an and therefore booked a private guided tour for one day. Kathy showed us all the sights and told us a lot about the area and China. In the evening she got us tickets for a very nice dinner show and even organized the transfer. All in all a perfect day - thank you Kathy!

Kathy was super well spoken and provided a great deal of information about all of the monuments we saw on our whirlwind tour of Xi'an and the Terra Cotta Warriors. She has been giving these tours for 15 years and it shows! She was VERY helpful walking us through Muslim street and the rest of Xi'an and was patient with our group the whole time. Definitely recommended!

Our tour guide Kathy was the best guide I have had on a trip anywhere. She met us at our hotel with a private van and driver promptly at 8am. We visited the Terracotta Warriors, had a wonderful lunch at a local restaurant, viewed the city wall, the bell and drum towers, the Muslim Quarter, and Big Wild Goose Pagoda. At every stop we made Kathy gave us accurate and interesting facts about the site. Her knowledge of the history of Xi'an and all of the sites we visited was extensive. She could give you as much or as little about the place as you wanted to hear. With her as our guide, we went to the best spots to view various sites. She led us to vantage points instead of just pointing us at a door and giving us a time to meet up. It was truly a guided private tour. Having been on tours in China before, I must say that Kathy is the most professional guide I have ever had, and she made the experience extremely enjoyable. She went at our pace, which was important because my wife and I were traveling with my parents on this trip, both of who are in their 70's.

I had a great tour with Kathy. She was energetic, funny and extremely knowledgeable about Xi’an. Would highly recommend her if you want to learn all about the history and culture of the area.

We went to Xi'an during the fasting month of Ramadhan and celebrated Eid at Xi'an. Kathy was very helpful and made necessary arrangements for us to find the best food vendors in the Muslim Street and showed us the location of mosques we could visit. Kathy is efficient, friendly and very accommodating. She connected us with Lisa in Luoyang where we visited the Longmen Grottoes and the Shaolin Temple. Lisa was also an excellent tour guide who went out of her way to assist us and made the trip very memorable. Overall, the trip to Xi'an and Luoyang was great and we extremely enjoyed the visits and more importantly the delicious halal food in Xi'an and Luoyang.

We have Kathy set up our 2 days tour of Xian, besides arranging for pick up from the airport and going to the airport at departure, for our family of 6. 5 adults and 1 teenager. 4 of us have been in Xian before. Kathy took us to the Teracotta museum, a shop with good artifacts, lunch at a nice local restaurant with many local dishes, the pagoda, drum tower, bell tower and the city walls. She explained things to the family. The vehicle arranged was comfortable. Kathy was always pleasant and professional We all thoroughly enjoyed her services.

Miss Kathy was very knowledgeable with the historical facts of the history in Xi’an far back 2000 years ago. This is my first hand knowledge of the ancient China Emperors and the warriors livelihood especially the Terra-cotta army, Pagoda, Drum Tower. Worth the trip to the city where the Silk Road eastern end, and the home to various dynasties of china’s Emperors. The friendly Kathy and the driver are helpful and friendly.

this is our first trip in China and I was travelling together with my old parents. kathy is a super host and not your ordinary tour guide. she has a great knowledge on xi'an history and explained to us about the Chinese culture in detail. all of us including myself walked very slowly but she patiently waited and walked together with us and even hold my mother's hands. though my parents don't speak English or understand her, but they really like the way that she took care of us, explaining about the food and attended to our request. highly recommend her for whoever wants to visit xi'an anytime soon

From the word go at Xian train station bubbly Kathy breezed us thru 4 days of enchanting adventure of food, culture, history, palace scandals and concubine intriques to usurp power and glory. Being a Xian native her knowledge was intimate and comprehensive and listening to her narration in English was following a historical novel peppered with courtly grandeur, political skull duggery, bedroom intrigues and mammoth monuments for the afterlife. We, 3 elderly couples from Singapore, were unanimously impressed by Kathy's eloquence and care for our personal needs for 5 relaxing and most enjoyable days. Only Kathy's energy, personal care and knowledge could deliver such indelible memories of 2500 years history and myths of China's rich and grandious past. Our personal gratitude to a new friend who vowed to visit Singapore to taste our very own Emperor, of fruits, DURIAN. The taste of which can secure idelible memories too.

We spent 2 days in Xi`an with Kathy. We were 2 adults with our 3 young children. Kathy is very knowledgeable, she speaks good English and the tour with her was interesting and pleasant. She took us to lunch in a local restaurant which was a great experience. She also insisted on giving us detailed instruction for our "free evening" as it was important for her to ensure that we will enjoy our free evening as well. She was also very sensitive to our children needs (as well as ours) and managed to build the perfect mix in her plan and was flexible to update the plan according to the changing circumstances (due to the kids' needs). The van that was provided was spacious, clean, modern with good air condition and cold bottled water. The driver was nice and helpful as well. There were no delays or any other inconveniences. I highly recommend her and I am sure that we will hire her again in our next visit to Xi`an. Thank You Kathy!

Kathy was an excellent and perfect tour guide for one day trip in Xi’an. Including driver, tour at major sightseens, delicious traditional lunch and finalizing with amazing chinese show at the theater.

Of course, our family of 4 is not really related to Kathy, but that is how well she cared for us. From picking us up at the train station, organizing a wonderful Xian experience the next day, to delivering us back at the station another day later, she was with us every step of the way. And not in a commandeering manner, but always checking what we would like and adapting her plans accordingly. She introduced us to the terra cotta manufacturing process, toured the tomb site, organized a wonderful lunch, provided us with expert guidance at the Wild Goose pagoda, and topped everything off with a fascinating Tong dinner show. Historically educated, friendly, funny, honest to a fault and always with a very personal touch. Highly recommended, if you go to Xian, then seriously consider becoming part of Kathy's extended international family.

Kathy was an excellent tour guide for our stay in Xi’an. She and her driver promptly picked us up at the train station and took us to our hotel upon arrival and she had our driver returned us to the train station the day of our departure. On our one full day in Xi’an she had a full day planned for us. We visited the place where they make the replica terra cotta warriors, grabed a quick lunch at a Western restaurant (KFC), visited the Terra Cotta Warrior Museum, visited the city wall, and finished the day with dinner at a Halal (Muslim) restaurant in Xi’an. Traveling in our party were five adults and four kids, ages 1-4, and Kathy did a great job of speaking to the adults about the history of Xi’an of the excavation site while pausing for kids to take a break from walking or letting them eat a snack. We found Kathy extremely professional and kind. She even helped carry our kids when they were tired of walking or held their hands when they were ready for a shift in care-giver. While visiting the different sites she told us about in-depth history of the dynasties, the process of excavation, the significance of different parts of the site, as well as pointing out the differences between the different soldiers. Her English was excellent and we always communicated very well. When contacting her via e-mail to plan the trip we found her responses timely and her suggestions well-thought out. We really enjoyed our ability to plan a trip to our tastes in Xi’an and adjust as needed. If you’re questioning whether to register for a large tour or use a private tour guide we highly recommend Kathy. You’ll be glad you found such a great tour guide!

I found Kathy on trip advisor and contacted her about our tour of Xian.She was easy to converse with and I booked her. My husband and I found her very friendly, her English was excellent and she was very knowledgeable. We had a great day out and throughly enjoyed our tour of Xian ,we managed to fit so much into our day, and saw a lot . She took us to a beautifully clean restaurant where we had a delicious lunch . We would throughly recommend Kathy to anyone looking for a great tour of Xian .

Our group took a 3-day private tour with Kathy. Kathy is professional and easy to communicate with. She has a good knowledge of the history of Xian and provided a good overview of the history of the Terracotta warriors. The food at the lunches arranged by Kathy were authentic and delicious. The hotel she recommended was in an excellent location and the hotel staff provided very good service . The Tang Dynasty performance was interesting. Mt Huashan was scenic and a gd place for hiking. The Muslim quarter is bustling with a wide array of food. Overall, an interesting experience in Xian

Kathy had been recommended to us by friends because she was an excellent guide. We couldn't agree more with our friends. Kathy went far beyond what you would normally expect from a guide. When my wife got sick, Kathy went out of her way to get medicine for us. Kathy was very professional and had a great knowledge of Xi'an and its and China's culture. Kathy took us to some wonderful local restaurants (we should not have had breakfast as there was so much food!!). Kathy also organised our four day tour of Beijing and provided an excellent guide (Rita) for us. Altogether a wonderful seven days

Kathy's Private Day Tour of Xi'ian is excellent. Kathy is efficient, professional, knowledgeable and a very nice person to spend a day with. She obviously loves Xi'an and her enthusiasm for the city and its history is infectious. We had a lovely driver for the day who also did the airport runs - he was a good and sensible man who drove carefully and safely. There is a lot to do in Xi'an - much more than anticipated - and two full days was insufficient. So we will be back!
