Very helpful folks. Showed us all the great places to go. We got to our last winery late and they picked the bikes up after hours for a small fee. Well worth it thanks! Mark was funny and delightful

We loved this experience, just riding to wherever we wanted to go on our own time schedule. The hardest part was riding up to Batch winery but the view was worth it and fun times were coming down. We hope to come back one day and do it again. Highly recommended , the service we received was excellent. We'll done to the team

Wonderful comfortable bikes in perfect working order. Staff made great recommendations for the trip. Swift efficient. check in/check out., conveniently located steps from ferry. Note: a lot of the riding is adjacent to traffic, with few stretches of bike path, so novice riders beware. Bikes great for exploring the many beach coves, and always a parking spot for bikes! Such a refreshing way to enjoy the flora, fauna, and vistas, especially after a 15 hour plane ride.

What a wonderful way to explore Waiheke! It was easy and convenient to pick up our bikes at the ferry. The people at ebikes were really friendly and helpful and enthusiastic to mark out our day on the map, even with tips from their personal experience. The bikes were in excellent condition, and we didn't worry about losing power exploring the 5 bays. The paniers were helpful for our wine purchases. There are other places to hire bikes, but ebikes were far superior and safer. Overall, was an amazing day.

The E-bikes were brand new! Will was very friendly and obliging; dropped the bikes off for us and gave us a thorough run through. Highly recommended 👍

Friendly efficient service, We were greeted by a knowledgeable member of staff who gave us a map and explained areas that were worth visiting and stopping at. The bikes were reliable and we but informed that should there be any issues we could WhatsApp or phone. Eride and they would be with us within a few minutes with a new bike. Our bikes were modern and I did not expect no experience any issues.. Great service from a good company with excellent equipment.

The bikes were fantastic and great quality. Service was friendly and extremely helpful. Lovely people working there. Bit pricey, but it was the best day, cycling around all the hidden spots of the island. Thank you!

Well organized, e-bike staff is very kind, welcoming and efficient. (E-bike recommended to enjoy the Island for sure) The experience was expensive. Also, I was surprised to see that Beer and wine tastings on the island should be paid. (It is free in France for example, for wine, Rhum etc...)

This was a perfect and fun way to see the wonderful beaches and scenery of Waiheke island, and to visit a couple of wineries/ beer-whiskeries. Great friendly service, recommendations for stops and quality e-bikes- no waiting around for buses, go at your own pace !

This was one of the BEST experiences and a highlight of my trip. There are two routes: 5 Bay Ride (Easy) and Man-O-War (Challenging). While the 5 Bay Ride is listed as easy, I did find it challenging – even for an ebike. I would consider myself to be active, although I haven’t ridden a bike for years. When you rent the bike they will give you a map and point out their favorite, optional stops (beaches, vineyards, breweries, food, etc.) and estimated cycling time va. Experience time with stops. The map I received said the Five Bays Ride was 24 km and takes an estimated 1 hour and 15 minutes without stops. Online it shows riding time cca 2 hours, experience 5-7 hours. For me, I made two very short stops to refill my water and one wine tasting stop at the Mudbrick Vineyard and it took me closer to 5 – 5.5 hours. I had a late start that morning, but would suggest taking an earlier ferry to have give yourself plenty of time. The return process was very smooth and quick. Simply drop if off, they check it in and you’re quickly on your way. I 100% recommend this activity if you’re visiting Auckland area and have time for a day trip. It was amazing! Tips: - The ability to reserve online closes the day before – If you’re booking last minute like me, I’d recommend reaching out to see if they have any availability. - From Auckland, you can take the ferry (Auckland > Davenport > Matiamata Ferry Terminal) and once you depart, the ebike rental location is inside the station. - The cost for the rental includes the full day and includes a helmet, phone attachment (for the handle bar), bag attachment to put any personal belongings in and a bike lock. - They do not offer regular bike rentals - only ebikes, which you'll likely appreciate at the end of your day.

Picking up the eBikes was very easy. They have a shop right inside the ferry terminal with staff there all day. Staff were very friendly and helpful. 5 stars for customer service. Once on the road, we found that the cycle lanes were not continuous meaning cyclists had to share the road with cars, trucks and busses at some points. However, we found drivers to be quite considerate of us on the eBikes, and the speed limit on Waiheke is quite low. Sharing the road was not a problem for us, but that might be different in summer months.

Super helpful with plenty of ideas to do on the ride. The bikes were great! A perfect way to see the island. You can make it more of a workout if you want by adjusting the assistance.

Perfect activity for Waiheke, would absolutely do again if visiting! So much fun and the views are amazing! Jay helped sort us out with bikes and routes, he was very knowledgable and answered all the questions we asked, Will helped us when we arrived back and was great!

The ebike didn't really do its job. I understand it's an "E-assist" sort of bike, but the amount it gave was pretty minimal. As I'm young and fairly fit, I was still able to power through all the hills. If I were neither of these things, the hills would've posed a big problem. Also, the bike seemed flimsy, meaning that if the road was not straight and/or had gravel or other inconsistencies for it, I would've definitely fell. I essentially paid $60 USD for a normal bike.

The guys at erode were super cruisy fitted us all out and gave us a great briefing. Withe suggestions on the way. Bikes were great and easy to use. Highly recommend ⭐️

From picking up to dropping off the ebikes - and everything in between - it was a faultless day on Waiheke. We had a friendly welcome and informative orientation about the ebikes and the things we might like to do on the island before setting off on our adventure. Armed with a map supplied by eRide and marked with all the things we wanted to do, and all the suggestions they provided us, we were off! ebikes are the best way to get around the island - easy to park, pedal and they get you close to all the stunning scenery. If you're physically able, forego the buses and taxis and get on an ebike!

Amazing way to go around, with complete independence as opposed to hop-on-off busses. Well maintained bikes. That being sad we were rather dissatisfied with absolutely no time information on pickup and return anywhere on trip advisor. You will have to return the bike by 6pm. We had to rush through many places which was unpleasent. As a result 3/5

The guided map and recommendations were the best that showcased the island's beauty. Highly recommend!
