This was one of the best choices we made during our 1 week stay in Island. Gudni was excellent guide and apart from finding very interesting track he provided lots of interesting information about history and life in Island. This was a perfect combination of interesting physical activity and very informative discussion with a great professional.

This was a truly incredible experience! Our guide, Gudni, was as much an ambassador for Icelandic culture and lore as he was an exceptional and experienced outdoor guide. The volcano hike was beautiful and tailored exactly to our fitness level, and we learned so much about the vast and beautiful landscape and history. Gudni gave us a true appreciation for Iceland and its people while showing off one of the most impressive and unique places I’ve ever seen.

This day trip was amazing. The pictures online didn’t even begin to show the beauty of this hike and Gudni was an incredible tour guide. He was so personable and knowledgeable and we had so much fun getting to learn more about Icelandic culture and the land surrounding us. This is a must do with your time in Iceland!

Oddi was our tour guide and we highly recommend him. Very knowledgeable and had patience to answer all our abstract questions about the area. We were picked up on time and driven to the hiking trailhead. We saw and walked on the lava fields from past eruptions at higher elevations. We got to see a lot and it overlooked the new eruption area that is restricted due to dangerous gas. The only reason we rated this a four and not a five, is that we had hoped to hike to the new crater. (no one can do that now) PS the homemade snacks Oddi provided were awesome!

At the Reykjanes Peninsula we climbed the Fagradalsfjall volcano (eruption 2021). With the guidance of our knowledgeable tour guide, we carefully traversed the vast expanse of black lava fields, mindful of the potential dangers beneath our feet. The seemingly solid surface of the lava fields can easily crack and split, revealing treacherously deep crevices. We took a break to enjoy the experience, indulging in steaming cups of hot chocolate and homemade Icelandic desserts provided by Odie, our your guide. Our efforts were rewarded with a view of the newest additional volcanic landscape near Grindavik. Odie, assisted me down the mountain preventing me from falling

Oddi was an incredible guide! He took us to the site of the 2021 eruption and to some geothermal pools nearby. He told fun stories and brought us treats to consume at the mouth of a cave made of cooled lava. He couldn’t have been more kind, funny, or knowledgeable. Thank you for a great day!

We loved our afternoon hike with Haffi (the volcano chef). We really wanted to hike but were concerned with safety as eruptions are pretty imminent right now. Being with a local, experienced guide made all the difference! He made sure we were fit enough and equipped for the hike, helping us find the best path up and down the crater in some crazy wind. He also had a heat scanner and brought us to some of the hot spots, explaining how the crater formed, filled the valleys, broke out to the sea, etc. And yes; he’s cooked an egg over one of the fissures too. We would highly recommend this trip for anyone looking for a solid hike and a lesson on Icelandic volcanic history. And a few laughs too. Thanks Haffi!!

Our tour guide, Gudni, was great, arrived on time and was friendly and offered loads of local knowledge and facts during the day. The whole day was set at our pace and our boys enjoyed playing in the snow while at the top of the volcano. Highly recommend this tour if you want a great day, tour guide and memories

Could not recommend this tour and company more! We had Gudni as our guide, and this guy knew EVERYTHING! Took us off the beaten path away from the tourists and was great company along the way. Loved having a private tour without a massive group.

I was travelling with my dad and everything went super well. 5/5 service! Our guide was so professional and we had fun day together. We saw volcanoes and got to walk in lava. Hot chocolate was on top! 🫶In addition we got so much information about Iceland and it's culture in general. Highly recommended private trip!

Well I thought this would be a bit of a walk, how wrong was I haha. It was amazing even though I’ve never been hiking before, I didn’t really know what to expect but the guide Sigrun made sure we were ok all the time and took it at our pace. She was so knowledgeable and we had a great time. The views were breathtaking!! It didn’t feel real at the top of the mountain so peaceful. To stand on the 2021 larva and feel the heat in the cracks was incredible, thank you so much!

What an amazing experience with the most breath taking views. Getting up close to learning all about the volcanos in the area was wonderful. Our guide Sigrún had so much knowledge about the volcanos and previous eruptions makes this trip worth doing. Thank you for the best time, Cat and Carl

Without doubt one of the best private tours my family has ever taken. It made our first trip to Iceland unforgettable. Our guide Oddi arrived 10 minutes prior to our scheduled departure and made sure we knew that he was entirely at our disposal and there was no rush and the day was ours. Once we all loaded up into his tour van we started our journey to hike the Fagrafalsfjall Volcano. Not only were we able to see the eruption site from 2021 we also had a great view of the latest volcanic eruption that took place on December 18. Oddi was extremely knowledgeable about all things Iceland and made sure the hiking was at a pace that the whole family could good, handle and enjoy. Oddi is such a warm personality and highly knowledgeable guide. We truly enjoyed him hiking the family through the area. The scenery was otherworldly and it was a once in a life time experience to walk on a lava field that was still smoking. Many thanks again and I recommend Oddi and 2Go Iceland for all your Icelandic tours.

This was one of the best experiences. The guides were so knowledgeable and allowed for us to take our time. I went to 5 tours and this was one of the best ones. This is a great experience. Expect a lot of wind and tough walk for people who have zero fitness active level. I highly recommend this tour.

We travelled to Fagradalsfjall with Oddi from 2GO Iceland Travel. There were three couples. We throughly enjoyed our day! We traveled up to the 2021 eruption lava field. We saw the cracks in the lava with steam coming out. Oddi took the temp at 775 F. The hike took between 6-7 hrs round trip. After the hike, Oddi took us to a geothermal springs area to see the boiling water coming from the earth. It was a fun surprise! Oddi was attentive and went the pace of our group. We would absolutely recommend this tour.

This private excursion was a highlight of our trip! Because it was private we were picked up and dropped off at our Airbnb. Our guide, Oddi, was excellent!!! He did a few extra stops that we loved! He was so knowledgeable and personable. He was very patient with us on what for us, coming from very flat lands, felt like a little more of a challenge. The weather was beautiful and the views just stunning!!! We learned so much more by doing this with our guide instead of trying to do it on our own and having someone else do the driving also allowed us to enjoy the experience without the hassle of figuring that out as well. It also made us feel safe by having a guide while on the lava! I cannot recommend this highly enough! Thank you Oddi and 2Go Iceland for such a memorable experience!!

Oddi was a wonderful guide, telling us a lot of volcano and Iceland history. Being so close to a volcano is a life time experience.
