The Tokyo Comedy Bar is the only English Language stand up comedy venue in Tokyo so is a great hub for performers and those who enjoy an evening of fun. The hosts are most welcoming =, the venue has a range of craft beer on tap and as it's very close to Shibuya station it's an easy venue to get to. I visited a few times during my stay in Tokyo so was able to see the early "feature shows" which are then sometimes followed by "open mic" sessions (so if you fancy giving it a go here's your chance! The crowd were a friendly mix of locals, ex-pats and tourists and the comics performing a rotating mix of locals, ex-pats and other comics passing through town so there was an intersting mix of styles. The venue is airconditioned and has a relaxed vibe and the room is just the right size to give you a bit of space but be close to the "action" All in all, a great venue and certainly a good thing to add to your itinerary when visiting Tokyo.

Hilarious and had a great time. Thai ladyboy debate was great. MC had the softest hands. 10/10 would get caressed again.

The comedians are funny and have fun jokes and good chemistry with the audience. I recommend to go with friends but you can go alone.

Absolutely fantastic as a solo visitor during a trip to Tokyo. I went to the Saturday show, it was really funny and a good time. Great crowd-work and welcoming atmosphere - I’d highly recommend! Shout-out to the super friendly staff working at the bar, great first touch point

So many talented comedians even some very popular stars included! I’ve never seen such a great live comedy show before. Comedians and audience were communicating so closely and created great atmosphere. If you want to laugh, this place is totally recommended.

Easy access, local comedy performers with insight into Japanese and Western culture. The beer is some of the best in Tokyo.

Wanted to have a fun night out in Tokyo and stumbled upon the Tokyo Comedy Bar. Did not disappoint. Great English language comedy show with a convenient bar to boot. BJ was also a flawless MC that kept the laughter rolling through the comedy showcase on the Thursday night that we attended. Will come back!

Absolutely. Totally. Brilliant. The night was fantastic. The drinks choice and quality is amazing, the comedians are on a top shelf level. They all understood their audience and created an atmosphere I would attribute to any of the big comedy players. Do not pass this place up. You will regret not coming here. Intimate and exceedingly funny. I'm going to ache for days.

I went for the video game standup. It was cool. The lineup and atmosphere was crowded but comfortable due to the chill nature of the venue.
