The driver and tour guide were very nice people. The walk to and from the beach to drop off and pick up was very far it’s ok for young people but not so much for us older folk

Elafonisi beach is beautiful and I would highly recommend a visit. Our tour guide was very good, who provided us interesting and insightful information throughout the the tour. The stop off in the local village seemed a bit pointless though, and we would have preferred more time on the beach.

Our guide was great. The bus trip was seamless. Loved having a small bus. We were a bit disappointed in so many reviews saying that the drive was terrible - as we would easily have driven ourselves in our hire car. Having said that, it was nice to just enjoy the ride and chat. We found the time at the beach was great. We easily got an umbrella, and had a really relaxing time. Lunch at Elos was good! Visit to Agia Sofia cave was also enjoyable.

overrated I struggled to see any pink beach so don't get too excited yo may see a slight pink colour close to the waters edge when I was there it was whipping up sand in your face but apparently it does this most of the time so don't expect to chill out on the shores and take in a few rays also it gets very overcrowded so finding a spot to take a selfie was almost impossible all in all a disappointing day trip I wished I'd have saved my money and had a few more beers

This trip involves three stops - cave, beach and village visits. While all three were terrific, the description is incomplete. The cave involves walking up 250+ stairs. This was fine for most of our group, but our 80 year old could not climb them. The beach is pretty, but very crowded. We couldn't rent chairs and a umbrella because they ran out before we got there. During the village trip, you could either eat dinner or explore the village, not both. The tour company did everything they promised - transportation and a guide. I just wish we would have had more info before we selected them.

It’s was a beautiful day. The ride was good. Everything was on time which I really liked. It would have been nice to stop at Agia Sophia As stated on the website. The stops we made were nice. The beach is awesome. The driver Mark and the guide Elefteria were wonderful.

Very well organised trip, welcoming guide and excellent driver. Small bus with 24 seats and AC. Enjoyed a stop at the cave and lunch at a local taverna on the return trip. The beach is gourgeous! Travelled in high season and there were a lot of visitors at the beach, but it didn’t feel to crowded to enjoy some hours in the water. Travelled with a 12 year old and a 4 year old - the walk from the parking to the beach is a bit strenuous for the toddlers without a stroller.

We booked our trip through our jet2 rep and I can’t rate it enough. Coach picked us up on time, stopped off on the way to a honey making place for refreshments etc. then on to the beach.although it was very busy, there were still places to settle on the beach. It was the most beautiful beach I have been to. It looks like you are in the Caribbean or the Maldives. Crystal clear waters shallow enough so you can walk to the small islands in the water. There are two cantinas there, toilets and showers. Coach picked us up at 3 then we stopped at a small village to eat at a taverna ( if you wanted to) 1 hour there at Elos then back to our hotel. €40 pp an all day trip with a couple of stops.?well worth it. An amazing untouched protected place of Beauty. Definitely recommend.

This beach is definitely worth seeing. One of the most beautiful beaches Ive ever been to. However save your money and go with another tour operator. Instead of it taking two hours to get to the beach they decided to take us to an unnecessary stop along the way at a coffee shop/honey store which clearly they gain commission from. To get there it almost ended up taking us 4 hrs. The tour guide would also repeat information and facts. Which some of them seemed a bit off (maybe its a language translation issue). We of course arrived at peak time because they intentionally delayed our arrival (even after acknowledging the fact that they are taking their time to arrive) instead of going to what everyone was there for. We finally arrive to enjoying the lovely beach. We ask the tour guide if we are going to the cave (which the tour included) she says “no” without further explanation. And then the tour guide decided to take everyone AGAIN to a “local village” to eat, which tbh no one wants to go to being wet and dirty with sand. This clearly being another commission based stop. Everyone on the bus clearly seemed annoyed at this point most people just waiting for an hour ordering a juice and waiting for the time to pass. We just wanted to get home. I never understood why we didn't complete the cave experience. Too much nonsense talking and little transparency. ALSO - ALOT of people to pick up. They would benefit from making less pickup spots which delayed also our pickup and arrival time.

There’s a lot of details missing from the itinerary, that had I been given more of a heads up I would’ve been more prepared and enjoyed it more. Want to preface that I fell pretty badly and was injured at the beach, so I’m also coming from that stress. Although this package has that they pick you up from the hotel, they didn’t say a shuttle will pick you up to get to the official shuttle that would take us. Everyone seemed confused and I think it took more time in bus confusion than enjoyment at the beach. It says “full day” at the beach… It was four hours. Which was probably wise of the planners because Greece was coming out of a heat wave. However it made the experience rushed. Also all those delays, choice of program meant landing at the beach when there would be no more umbrellas for shade available. I knew the beach shores weren’t fully pink, so I was fine when it wasn’t what was pictured. It was incredibly crowded. Someone else on the tour said they were underwhelmed by the beach. I didnt like the tour program as much as I was rushed and not given more details to relax and enjoy the experience.

First the good. The driver and the guide were great. We really enjoyed them and the historical education they provided for the area. The location they took us for lunch was outstanding. In fact, with a week in Chania, that was the best meal by far. Elafonisi beach was a tourist trap as I read before the trip. No umbrella and beach chairs were available until midway in our 4 hour beach time. The reason for the average score was we booked a Elafonisi beach day, we chose the 8 hour timeframe. When we got on they mentioned they combined two excursions which turned our trip into an 11 hour trip which we purposely avoided by selecting the 8 hour trip. We had to change plans and cancel a reservation because of that. All in all, we enjoyed the experience but not happy with the change and not informing us for other options.

It was a great experience. The tour guide, Sonia, was very friendly and informative. Our driver was just as friendly. Sonia informs you of local history and culture so you get to learn about Crete, she also provided helpful advice regarding staying safe. She communicated the timelines clearly and ensured as we were getting off the coach, we knew exactly what to do/where to go and when to be back which was very helpful.

Ria at Fantasy Travel arranged a fab day days hike of the Samaria Gorge from Chania. Ria went to great trouble to make some special arrangements for us to ensure that our day went smoothly. Ria was lovely - nothing was too much trouble for her and her communication with us was excellent. Highly recommend!

The trip to Elafonisi was really good. Despite being a busy location, there's plenty of space to put down the towel and enjoy the sun. Getting an umbrella can be difficult, so I would recommend taking your own, if you need one. The water is warm, calm and shallow, which is especially good if you're travelling with children. On the way to the beach, the stop at the cave allows you to stretch your legs and take some lovely pictures, while also giving you the opportunity to grab some refreshments. On the way back from the beach, the stop at the village of Elos is a great opportunity to have traditional greek/cretan food. The tour guide was really nice and explained lots of interesting facts during the journey. We never felt rushed and managed to enjoy Elafonisi, despite being on a tight schedule. Recommended!

Well organized tour. Bus picked us up close to where we were staying. Left plenty of time to grab breakfast and lunch at local restaurants.

The beach itself was stunning. Perfect amount of time to spend there and the stops either side were also nice to break up the journey. They stop at a village with only tavernas in for lunch at 4pm which was perhaps unnecessary and as all the tours seemed to do this, our experience there was quite chaotic (missed bits of the order). However overall a great trip.

We had a short stop at the cave, then to the beautiful beach. We had 4 hours at the beach. On the way back we stopped at a village for late lunch. The driver and the tour guide are wonderful. We really enjoyed it.

Very well organized and taken care by the Operator with replies and assistance anytime. Very pleased with it and it's staff! You arrive their at the the time of hottest sun, so take sunshed. Other timings are possible? One doubt regarding the price, as the charge by viator/ trip advisor is highly more than the local provider, not very clear, but was charged more than 50 and is 30 at the flyer of the agency. Is because short time? Not clear. If so,I will give 5* to all, but for me, 5* is for the Operator and not viator till clarification, if possible, thanks
