This was a great tour. We always had great communication before the actual tour. Our guide was Erickson. He gave us his number early in the tour so we could keep in touch. We visited El Peñol, which was great, then we went to the damn cruise. Lunch in the cruise was small, but tasty. We also visited Guatapé, which we loved! Just keep in mind we got back to the city almost at 10pm. Between people being late, traffic, it took more time than advertised. However, we loved it!

John was such an amazing tour guide! He was so knowledgeable, kind, and just overall amazing! He adjusted the tour to my needs, and I would have loved to do all of our tours in Columbia with him! John was such a great representative of all warm-hearted Columbians and this stunning country! Touring with him is your biggest luck!

I took 2 tours with Medellin travels. My first tour was Guatape with El Penol - a fun day - great views and an opportunity to experience a lively and colorful Colombian gem outside Medellin. There are many opportunities to take great photos, shop and eat delicious street foods and in cafes. My second tour was the Pablo Escobar tour which included La Catedral. An interesting tour that visits many sites around Medellin that are part of the Pablo Escobar story and legend. La Catedral is worth a visit for the views alone, but the 'prison' is part of the Pablo story you have to see to believe. Medellin Travels was easy to book with and communicate with. Everything was taken care of, including comfortable transportation, guide and and stops along the way for comfort, food and shopping.

Love this tour, it's a must do! Guide Carlos was fantastic, willing to go out his way to accommodate our requests and answering all our questions along the way. We thoroughly enjoyed the day! High recommend this tour and guide Carlos for creating so many lovely memories from this tour to bring home.

Highly highly highly recommend the private Guatape tour. Our guide was John who was absolutely terrific. He was very knowledgeable and kind. He made the experience very personal and we felt very comfortable and safe the entire trip. One of the best days we’ve had in Antioquia.

The view from the top of the rock is amazing but this is not a tour but rather a driver and a car. There is very little I formation that is shared and it’s mostly all self guided. We had two people and it’s was over $260 for a car and driver for a few hours. We already had a car and driver for the week but we thought this was a tour so wish we had not done this with this company but rather gone with our own driver.

A very informative and great day! I highly recommend this full day excursion to Guatape and the " most famous rock in the world "! The first 100 steps are killers! But after that.... not too bad! Guatape was beautiful. The waterfall was a little disappointing, definitely not the one on the website. But.... my guide was exceptional! I highly recommend her.

Alex was awesome and showed us the culture, food, history and news about Guatape and Medellin. We learned multiple sides about this place and Colombia. We departed early enough to avoid the traffic and the rain. Alex even answered our questions about the area after the trip. Very good experience.

This was a great tour from the tour company Medellín Travels. What we liked the best was our tour guide Carlos who we can’t recommend more highly! He was flexible (eg switching us to a vegetarian restaurant) knowledgeable and fun! The Piedre de Penol and guatape were mazing and worth the trip.

The trip was fantastic. Ana was great and we felt like a close friend was taking us around. She was knowledgeable, informative, and highly professional. Ana recommended great restaurants that met our dietary restrictions. Julio, the driver, was courteous and quite skilled at his job.

This was an amazing private tour with a great guide named Jorge. Super knowledgeable and friendly. Spoke perfect English and made every aspect of this tour great. We even stopped for a typical breakfast of cheese melted in hot chocolate on the way to the rock. It’s a picturesque drive and Jorge made it informative with stories and perspectives of the history and what happened here. It was great context for me mixing in some history. The Peñol are is stunning. I’m planning to go back to stay there at least one night. Climbing the rock was a challenge but well worth it. The village of Guatape was the last stop. This beautiful and colorful town was a sight. We had a great lunch facing the lake after a great walking tour seeing the most notable and beautiful parts of the town.

This is a great tour- do not miss it - maybe just with a different agency! Our original appointment (for Monday 2nd) was cancelled an hour before the pick-up time. Luckily we had availability for the 4th. Despite the warning of the agency (το start at 7 or 7:30) we requested a start time at 8:30, we hit long lines of cars and a delay of 1h-1h30m (ok as we have been warned). But since the arrival everything was rushed. Only 30-45min at the village and 1 hour at the Rock (obviously we did not climb due to long waiting lines but that was ok-by the way the ticket was part of the total price- never received credit for not using it-anyway that was a small part of the overall disappointment). And then rushing back to Medellin- we have not made any other stops mentioned in the program and all in all disappointing due to the rushed schedule, overpriced (other agencies offer more for lower price) but definitely worth making this tour!

I was not notified until after the TripAdvisor cancellation deadline that the traffic and long lines were expected to add many hours to the trip. We were able to switch this to another trip with a nice guide, but it was not what we'd paid for and I was very disappointed. Had I known about the unacceptable traffic, I would have cancelled before the 24 hour cut-off to get my money back.

This was an amazing tour and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide than Carlos. He clearly enjoys his job and sharing the beauty and history of the city with his customers. I highly recommend this tour.

We had an amazing time with George in Guatape! We hiked up la Piedra and then wandered around Guatape. We had a traditional colombian lunch which was fantastic. George was truly a delight. He gave us so much interesting information and he was fun to spend the day with. Highly recommend.

This was an amazing experience with great people. Ana was able to tell me all about the places we visited and was so friendly and easy to talk to. I opted to do the waterfall and private boat tour which I would highly recommend. At the end of the tour, our driver took us to his favorite coffee spot and I had the best coffee I’ve ever had. This was a great last day in Columbia thanks to my guide and my driver. Highly recommend.

First, we had an all day private tour to El Penol, Guatape, and at our last minute request, they took us on a side tour of El Carmen del Vibroal. Danielle was our excellent guide speaking near perfect English and going to great trouble to find us the best restaurant while helping us with our food order explaining every item and recommending dishes according to our taste. She guided us through every site with her vast knowledge and took the time to try to understand our interests and customizing the trip to our individual wants and needs. I would highly recommend Danielle and would request her for your guided tour. Second, was the transfer back to the airport to depart. We were glad to see Marcello as our driver again and he was very prompt to pick us up at 3 am. Always helpful and excellent navigating the streets and roads on both trips. We are very pleased with the level of service and attention this company provided. We have travel all over the world and by far Daniella, Marcello and Medellin Travel had been the best ... without question.
