This was a perfect way to see the city, especially if you are there for a short time. The food and drink is of course very special highly recommended. Our guide Sara was fantastic with so my stories and fun facts to share. She even stayed in touch after the tour to finish answering some questions.

Very nice food tour. It is a great way to get an introduction into the city. Actually, it was the best food/drink we had in Edinburgh. Circled back around to one of the restaurants a few days later with friends. Highly recommend.

A really lovely time with Wag yesterday morning. I learned so much about Edinburgh, had a great gradual 2 mile walk from Old Town to New Town (not 7 miles as another review mentions), and tasted great food at 4 different places.

Food and locations were excellent and our guide was extremely knowledgeable and personable during the whole of the tour.

A great way to start our trip. We did this our first day and it helped us get a taste of regional cuisine and fight our jet lag. It was great to try venison stew, haggis, ale, whiskey, and more. The restaurants were all good choices and the food was good and authentic as well. Guide was excellent and made a great recommendation for us for the next day in Leith. Highly recommend.

We book walking food tours in every city we visit and I truly think our Edinburgh tour was the best so far! Our guide was Wag and he kept us on our toes the whole time. He was engaging, knowledgeable and fun. He shared endless historical facts and stories with us (which is what we wanted!) and the restaurants we visited were all gastronomical gems. Even the haggis was good :) We've already recommended Wag and his team to other friends and encourage anyone thinking of doing a food tour to sign up immediately!

Writing this 6 hours after our tour ended and I’m still full! We started with blueberry and honey porridge, had (one of the best) almond paste croissant with a hot beverage (I had the Earl Grey Hot Chocolate but you can choose what you want to drink), a whiskey pairing with haggis (I had the veggie haggis) from The Scotch Malt Whiskey Society, and then topped it off at Whighams Wine Cellar where we had Cullen Skink (Amazing!) and Sticky Toffee Pudding (super sweet but double amazing!). Besides the food we really enjoyed the walk to the various food establishments and all the history we got of the city along the way. Russell was a fabulous guide 😀 Meeting point on Grassmarket was very convenient.

The ticket says 24 hours. That is not what i got. We leave tomorrow morning at 6am. I bought the ticket at noon. I was on the bus until 540 when we got off to look at a shop. When we came out is when we saw a sign that says 545 is the last stop. Shame on you for not putting that info on the ticket.

This was a great tour. Fran, our guide, was very friendly and informative of the places she took us to and also explained a lot of the history and development of Edinburgh. We went to 5 places. The first places were more like samplings, but the last place was a hearty lunch and I was full. The tour was a nice selection of places and I liked everything we ate and drank: parritch (oatmeal) with wild blue berries, macaroon, tea, cider ,mac and cheese, fish and leek soup, brown bread and butter, haggis with mustard cream sauce, sticky toffee pudding and ale. We visited Old Town and New Town. Highly recommend!

This is a wonderful tour. The guide, Sara, made it feel more like a group of old friends she had invited to share her town going out for a great experience. She set exciting expectations for the good food and beverages in store and then exceeded them by drawing on her knowledge of the history and culture of Edinburgh and Scotland. The food was great, the beverages perfectly matched, the talk charming and informative, and the walk leisurely. Best way to spend an afternoon in Edinburgh.

Absolutely fantastic. We learned a lot of history and saw some great places that were more aimed at locals but the food was phenomenal and the guide really knew how to make it special. Afterward we really felt like we had had a full meal.

Our guide was super knowledgeable about everything from Scotland, to food, to beer. Everything tasted great. We had a lovely time.

It was a cold rainy night, but our host Wag made the most of it. We did the 5:30 tour and spent 3 hours, which flew by, touring four different restaurants. We sampled beers and cider and whisky. We had incredible food and enjoyed Wag’s stories of the food and drink as well as the history of Edinburgh. One of the highlights of our trip.

Good traditional food and fun history . It would have been fantastic on the first couple of days. We did it at the end so had tried much of it already. Still a good time

Wag was an amazing tour guide. So knowledgeable about the city as well as the food. A lovely way to get to know Edinburgh and eat and drink well on the way. Wag also was so flexible and accommodating when part of our party ran late arriving, which was just above and beyond service that we so appreciated.
