My mom and I went on a private food and drink tour of Edinburgh with our tour guide Sara! I’m gluten free and she catered every stop to make sure I had amazing gluten free options! I can’t say enough how fantastic Sara was as a tour guide, my mom and I had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this tour!

The guide was knowledgeable, amiable and funny. Also he had earpieces so we could all hear him. The selection of foods and drinks was perfect.

The Eat Walk Edinburgh Tour did not disappoint! Our guide Wag was fantastic, informative and entertaining and the restaurants selected were great. The pace he set was good, and we definitely didn't leave hungry. Would recommend this tour to anyone looking for a unique food experience in Edinburgh!

Tilly was an amazing tour guide. Very knowledgeable about Edinburgh and its great history and food & drinks. She was easy to talk to and was fun for our group of 4 retired aged adults. The food we experienced was wonderful .... especially memorable was the roast at Makars mash bar.

Anastaziya was very knowledgeable and very nice. We were slow because of a stroller, but she was very patient and we had a great tour with food and good conversation.

Alan took us to several places where we tried traditional Scottish food and drink. We tried Mash, Haggis (vegetarian and regular) served with sides, a raspberry liquor, Cranachan and more. We were completely full when done and skipped dinner. Alan also told some interesting stories about Edinburgh. The highlight of the tour was the Scotch Malt Whisky Society with it's large selection of whisky.

This tour was excellent. I would highly recommend it. Alistair was a great tour guide. He was very entertaining and informative. The food and drinks were very tasty.

A great tour with our knowledgeable guide Alan seeing parts of Edinburgh that are hidden gems. The food and drink samplers hit all the right spots, so much so we're going back to have full dinners at two of them and looking at dates to do the other tours offered. A great day oot!

Our tour consisted of four adults (all family). Jonathan was an excellent guide with many interesting stories. The pacing was great, and Jonathan was conscious of our slowest member’s speed. There were four food stops, all lovely. I could have used a little more food at the mashed bar. It was delicious! Would definitely recommend this tour. It was very nice in these Covid times to have the private tour. This tour was definitely a highlight of the trip, and Jonathan was extremely personal and well-versed in history and lore.

Alan was extremely informative throughout the tour. He took us to some fantastic restaurants and locations, where the food and drink was delicious in each one. The tour was very well thought out & Alan was a superb tour guide from start to finish. He was also very flexible with the tour and accommodated to some late changes in our plans and started the tour later than originally planned

Highly recommend this tour, not only is it a great way to get to get your bearings in the city but it's really interesting and informative. I love the combination of food and history and our guide was brilliant.

Highly recommend this walking food tour. There was only the 3 of us on the tour. I had a ball, the guide was amazing (forgotten his name) hewas local to Edinburgh. He was able to give tips on where to go after! 100% I would do it again and from now on if I go on a city break I am going on a food tour!

Jonathan was really friendly and it was a great way to be introduced to Edinburgh city. He was informative and we enjoyed our eat and walk tour. We also took his handy recommendation for dinner as we love seafood to The Ship on the Shore! Also we went back the following day to the Mash Company as we enjoyed our tasting plate so much. The Scottish Malt and Whiskey Society was also a treat 58% Whiskey so go easy!

Do not do Edinburgh until you do THIS tour it’s a must, it is very informative, full of variety & fun. Our group of 4 ladies did it & loved every minute, the history combined with food & drinks and was such a lovely way to spend an afternoon. Thank you Johnathan for your time & knowledge. What a lovely experience, a great way to find your way around Edinburgh and try food and drink, not only were the places we visited great but further recommendations also proved brilliant.

My wife and I did a private Old Town & New Town food tour with Alan. It was a great experience and Alan was a fantastic guide. His expertise, not only about the food, but also about the historical city itself, was impressive. Throughout the tour he told us historical stories, places we should visit during our time in Edinburgh, and gave us a list of additional restaurants we should try as well. Although the private tour is slightly more expensive, we found it well worth the cost. The dedicated time we had to ask questions from such a wealth of knowledge will make our entire time in Edinburgh more enjoyable and productive. Thanks Alan, and you've developed a great company!
