Comfortable Mistubushi Expander car, on time pick up. Only suggestion to operators is schedule it at 6am, not 8am because the journey is long and tiring, and to be completed before evening 6pm. Lunch provided was in a very basic restaurant, not good quality.Guide could be more interactive.

The temples are wonderful and worth seeing in my opinion (I wouldn't say that they are a must see though). Bear in mind that there is a loooot of driving on that day- the driver was quite good and it was fun observing the landscape/ppl from the car and getting to know the country a bit more, but by the end of the day you will be knackered. in terms of the guides- the one for Edfu temple was OK but his English could have been a tad better, the English of the guide for Kom Ombo was quite good.

We had a wonderful day with our guide Sam. He was so knowledgeable and fun. We learned so much on our tour. The kids loved it. Sam with terrific with the kids and made sure we were all comfortable, hydrated, and well fed. I recommend this tour, especially if you are lucky enough to get Sam as your gude.

Less crowds than at the pyramids, Karnak or Luxor Temple. But that being said the temples are all somewhat similar. Different periods, different emphases, different gods, but in the end somewhat similar. So would skip or do a select few only...

Again we had a fantastic day together with Ibrahim, our knowledgable guide who organized everything perfect for us and very good driver Ali who drove very carefully over ramps becouse he took my bad lower back into consideration. We were able to book an extra stop at Esna temple; so glad we did. We both liked that one the best. But also Edfu and Kom Ombo are both beautifull temple and worth visiting It was a long day and we drove a long time between the sites and back to Luxor (over the new desert highway) but it was worth every minute. We highly recommand both this trip and our guide and driver to everybody. They are good peoplethat arrange everything, tell you all you what you want to know about the sites and Egypt and are fun to be with. Very satisfied. Of all the guided booked tour, this was maybe the best one. Explanations were intresting, and our guide was available to answer our questions. He also bought for us some local fruits. As for the trip itself, we already knew we had many hours driving to go visiting this temples from Luxor, so you realize you spend most of the day traveling. But it's ok, as we couldn't plan to go to Aswan, which I would recommend if you have more days. P. S. Our guide tried to convince us to replace Kom Ombo temple with a other temple in Luxor. We said no, that we wanted to do what we planned. Of course, this would have been a more convenient option for him (shorter trip, same price), but stick with your plan. Secondly, all guides in Egypt will try to bring you to a shop where they sell "true" artisanal stuff... Well avoid it, the price is four times what you can find elsewhere.

The driver was not very honest. Got very little time to see Edfu. Kom Ombu is not worth the trip. The drive to Aswan was very uncomfortable.

We had an excellent driver who made our journey from Luxor to Edfu and Kom Ombu and back very comfortable. On the other hand, we weren't satisfied with the services of our guide. Not sure who to blame, the tour organizers or the guide. We had booked an English guided tour and were left with guide who spoke some English but was hard to understand and there were instances where he couldn't understand what we said. We spotted some locations that looked like excavation sites and asked him if that was the case, he instead pointed at somewhere else and says, "yes, that is a school". The guide didn't come across as very knowledgeable, conveniently took a break to smoke some hookah, rushed through the temples, and when we stopped to ask some questions, he wasn't that happy about it, but still answered them. We weren't satisfied with this guide and his services like how we were with guide Ashraf from the same Tour organising company.

Our guide was knowledgeable - although he did quiz us a lot. He also recommended Habu Temple which we hadn’t heard of and it was gorgeous. We ended up visiting there along with Edfu. As lunch was included we went to a place called Paris Restaurant which had delicious and authentic food.

What started off as a pleasant experience, turned out as a not-so-nice day. At first, the guide (named Mina) welcomed us very nicely and started to share interesting information about the sites we were about to visit. He picked us up at our hotel in Luxor, and, since we were travelling with our two small kids (a 4-year old girl and a 1-year old baby girl), we told him he did NOT need to worry in case one of us had to run after them while he was guiding us inside the temple. We made it perfectly clear that we were used to this (we had been to 70 countries by now, like I said to him, we are experienced travellers, as are our kids). They are kids, after all, and we can't impose they stay put for explanations they do not understand. By the way, here we have another problem: we had booked a Portuguese-speaking guide, especifically for this tour because our 4-year-old is VERY INTERESTED in these stories. They sent us an English-speaking guide...so we had to keep translating everything to her (and the guide started to get pissed off when we did so, even though I had previously briefed him I would have to do it because he didn't speak Portuguese as we'd asked for when booking the tour). From there on, only bad times. He started looking us sideways, talking like a robot, and even didn't wait for us inside the temples when we stopped to take pictures (by the way, since the beggining, when he was still "being nice", he didn't LIKE to wait for us to take ANY PICTURES...he kept saying he would take a picture of us ONLY AT THE END....unbelievable). Another "detail": on our way to the temples, right at the start, he suggested we took a "desert road" instead of the touristy one, which was way faster and smoother, even though not permitted for tour guides. But he explained it was not dangerous, only they would have to pay something at the checkpoints if they were caught....He always pointed the times we had to go to the back of the car and close the curtains so the guards wouldn't see us. Anyway...we accepted gladly after he insisted on it being better for the kids. On our way from Kom Ombo to Edfu, he took a terrible road and all of us almost got sick inside the car...The driver was driving way too fast, and the road was bumpy, curvy...terrible! They saw my girls crying non stop (and also the both of us, adults, were getting very sick). We said to him that he could take THE SAME ROAD WE TOOK TO GET HERE now that we were returning to the hotel (way earlier than the estimated time, because he skipped sites saying they were simply closed, like the crocodile museum). What did he do? He said he had to check with the driver if he was WILLING to TAKE THE RISK of the SAME ROAD!!!! And then asked for MONEY TO DO SO, reaffirming it would be better for the girls! Seriouly...I don't even have words to describe a person who is willing to gain money over crying children. Well...to sum up everything, unfortunately, it was a terrible experience among many nice and forever lasting memories we had built with our children while travelling across the Middle East (Egypt was only the second stop on our 40-day trip around 7 countries). I hope you never have the "pleasure" of visiting these places with a guy like that (we had already booked and enjoyed another tour with the same company 2 days before on the West Bank and it was amazing because the guide was amazing: Mourad, what a wonderful guy!). Sadly, that's what I have to share about our visit to Kom Ombo (no crocodile museum) and Edfu Temple. Cheers!

I had a great trip with Mahmoud hassan! He was very enthusiastic and explained a lot about ancient egypt very clearly! In fact, out of the 4 tours I've been on Mahmoud is the one that has been the best at explaining things. I learned the most from him during my trip in Egypt. One thing is that there is no lunch as specified in the tour, it's dinner after the tour, since there are no places to eat in Kom Ombo or Edfu. Overall I'm very happy and enjoyed this very much!!

Sam provided the highest level of service throughout the entire trip in Luxor. As travelers from the USA it was comforting to haves one one who was down to earth, easy to understand, and knowledgeable about the area and history of the attractions. Even with only 1 day in Luxor, Sam was able to take us through all the main attractions and some extras that we didn’t expect without us feeling rushed. Additionally, we were nervous about being hassled by the vendors, so Sam generously haggled for us so we wouldn’t pay a “tourist” premium. We very much appreciate his hospitality throughout our entire trip and highly recommend his guidance. Can’t wait to book another trip with Emo tours they are the absolute best:)

This is my first time visiting Egypt and wanted to look for tour. I was able to find EMO tour, which gave me a good description of the activities in each trip, which made me choose them. After booking the communication with the company was smooth. They contacted me right away to get more information. Mahmoud Nafee who was my guide came to pick me up from my hotel at dot time. He was very knowledgeable about Egyptian history and a great communicator. His explanation was crisp and simple to help me understand various temples and the inscription in it. Khalil was my driver, I would say he’s mind is a gps. He took us through routes avoiding traffic and was able to complete the tour in good time. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Egypt, especially if your looking for something to do between Luxor and Aswan.

We did a 3 day Luxor tour with Emo. We did 1) east and west bank 2) edfu and Kom Ombu 3) Dendra. The trip was professionally managed and we were pleased with the guide Ahmed E. He was soft spoken. hospitable and knew a lot about the area. We used EMO throughout our 14 day trip to Egypt and we highly reccomend them.

I finished doing my first round of site seeing in the Luxor area and wanted to see more after the tombs and the Temples around town. I heard about temples south of Luxor but didn’t know if they were worth the time... 100% worth the time, Ashraf did a very good job at explaining the sites I would highly recommend him and using Emo tours to see everything you want to see in Egypt!
