Great, informative and fun your with hands on chocolate making. Our guide Caesar was very knowledgeable and attentive. We have learned a lot about medicinal planes growing on the farm. Please note that transportation is not included in the price and could cost you additional $70-$80 for a round trip on a private taxi from LaFortuna.

So fun! We enjoyed learning about the many plants on their farm, especially the cocoa pods and the interesting process of growing, fermenting, drying, and roasting cocoa beans. It was fun tasting the cocoa beans and nibs and the sweet membrane that covers the beans. Then we went into a covered area where we ground the beans, mixed them with sugar, and made the drink of the Gods and 3 bon bons each. We could each choose the toppings we wanted. The guide kept it fun and interesting. The chocolate was delicious, 4 in our group loved the drink of the Gods, 2 said it was too strong and bitter for them, We all loved the bon bons!

Wow. This was an experience! A Tour, thanks to the off-season period, for two, only! We learned a lot about chocolate. The growth, different kinds, the production process towards the desired bar shaped final good and also some nice to know facts about history. Some ridiculous funny rituals and numerous tastings made this afternoon to something unforgettable for us. Nothing to regret. (:

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and informative, and also a lot of fun. He did fun dances with a drum beat to explain how the Mayans made hot chocolate. The chocolate itself was very tasty, and the kids really enjoyed making their own bonbons. The tour was educational and we learned a lot about chocolate making process. Highly recommended.

We had very little idea of what to expect on this tour. (If you’re in San Jose, the drive to this gem is out of the way but well worth it. Advise you to book your tour earlier in the day so you don’t hit nightfall on your drive back, especially if driving through La fortuna.) But this tour is 5/5 stars. We had the wonderful Yara be our tour guide and she was the sweetest and most knowledgeable person! You’re taken through the forest area, then explained of the process to extract the chocolate and make your own chocolate! Take the time to see this amazing place, and if possible have Yara be your tour guide. Also maybe wear some insect repellent.

Very informative providing info on more than just the cacao plant; great person touch by the tour guide; very friendly; and I loved the interaction where we got to make our own chocolate creations, grind God's drink and then make some take home treats. Incredible local small business!

We had a wonderful learning adventure on the Eden Chocolate Tour in La Fortuna. We had a vehicle and had no problem navigating to the farm. Our tour was for 9 am and it started right at 9, lasting about 1:45. It started with an informational walk through the farm where we saw different vegetation and the resident sloth! We got to see the various stages of the cacao seed and had fun tasting the seed & the roasted seed (it was quite tasty). The tour ended with tasting & creating our own chocolate goodies. We would highly recommend the tour if you're interested in learning a little more about the history of Chocolate.

Our guide yasera was so kind and bubbly and provided us with lots of information and fun facts throughout the very educational tour, we also made our own chocolates being able to mix cocoa with diff toppings. In summary and 10/10.

Highly recommend this stop when picking your chocolate tour. It felt like a small family farm. The guides were great. The tour was fascinating with a bonus that I found a sloth. The chocolate was incredibly good. Fun for the whole family.

Our family very much enjoyed this tour. Cesar kept all of our attention the entire time with his informative storytelling, great humor, and wonderful use of audience participation. We were able to be super creative and make our own chocolate bars, drink a hot chocolate, and also taste several combinations of liquid chocolate with awesome spice toppings. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a fun food tour.

We had an amazing experience at the Eden Chocolate tour from the first minute we stepped into the gift shop / reception area. We were treated to friendly faces, fresh pineapple juice and a caramelized cocoa bean sample. Our tour was led by Cesar. He was so much fun and very informative. I highly recommend this tour.

Cesar was a delightful guide, and the experience was truly a treat. Very informative from botany, history, and making/tasting chocolate perspectives. Beautiful estate, removed just far enough from the bustle of town. Highly recommend!

This tour was so much more than we expected for $33! We saw a sloth, saw the farm and lots of fruit trees(coconuts, coffee, cacao, papaya, bananas, avocado) and ate a ton of chocolate. We got to eat the beans raw, roasted, as chocolate and as traditional hot chocolate drink with chili and cinnamon made with hot water. We even got to grind the beans!! It was 2 hours long, very fun and informative n a small group of only 8 or 9 people! Our guide Javi (probably not spelled right) was great!

It was an awesome tour. Yara did an exceptional tour because she could not only tell about cacao but knows almost everything about country, people and history. Thanks so much and all the best for the future!

The guides were good. There was wildlife along with way - we were lucky to have our guide spot a sloth. Great history of chocolate - tasty chocolate and fun for the kids and adults.
