First off, let me say that our tour guide was patient, helpful and friendly. That said, be prepared. This is a 10 mile ride with the first 5 miles being up steep, winding residential roads. Although the electric bikes make riding on the flat effortless, just move the pedals gently and the bike runs at about 10mph, but is little help on the uphill. We were struggling from the start and huffing and puffing after the first mile. Would not recommend unless you bike hills regularly and like the challenge. They do offer a downhill only ride on the same road.

This tour was excellent and the breath of fresh air that I needed. Pick up all the way to the ride up the mountain and down was perfect and the guide was extremely helpful. I’d do this experience again!

Maikai was a great tour guide. He taught us so much about Hawaii and how to ride EBikes. We loved the ride and all the beautiful scenery. Maikai really made it special for us being so accommodating by letting us ride at our own pace.

Our guide was phenomenal! He gave us a lot of the local history and was very conscientious. He stopped regularly for photo ops and ro tell us historical information.

On our last full day in Hawaii, we wanted to do something active, but not on the water. We discovered Bike Hawaii Tours and booked the morning eBike Tour Honolulu Rainforest. So happy with our choice! We met our guide, Mike, at the base of Archie Baker Park, although hotel pickup was available. Mike set a relaxed pace, and, with the eBikes, we didn't have to work strenuously to make it up the mountains. (But, of course, you could choose less electric assistance if you want to intensify your workout.) The path through the rainforest was fully paved and easy to navigate. We stopped at some truly spectacular vistas with views of the city as well as the rainforest. Mike was informative and personable. He had a lot of local knowledge to share. My husband and I, along with our two teenagers, thoroughly enjoyed our morning bike ride through the lush landscape of a tropical rainforest so close to Waikiki.

The bike tour was very well done. Bikes had no trouble with steep climb, handled well and only used 1/5 of battery power. The chosen road was great with grand views and nice stops along the way. Daniel was an excellent guide with a pleasant personality and plenty of local knowledge and history to keep everyone on informed. Amazing e bike ride up and down the mountain with Mike! Can’t recommend it enough. We loved every minute of it. It was super easy with the electric bikes and very easy to change the intensity of how much the electric motor contributes. As someone with not the best fitness, it was a breeze up the hill. Amazing views and learning of the wildlife up the mountain. 100% a must!!

The whole experience from start to beginning was such a blast. Going through the beautiful rainforest on the electric bikes was such a fun time. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and always made sure every person was ok. I will always book this tour every time I come back. Highly recommend. If you can ride a bike you cannot miss out on this tour.

We had a great time going up the mountain with a really fun guide! He taught us about the rainforest and stopped at some fabulous look out points. The e-bike was very helpful on the uphill and downhill was fast and fun. Safety was the first priority and we look forward to e-biking again!

Our guide was beyond amazing- knowledgeable, helpful, funny, absolutely perfect! I would recommend this to anyone! The ebikes were great so it was not strenuous and even in the rain was a fantastic experience!

The guides Mike and Emily were great!! The e-bikes were easy to use and the ride up was a bit easier than down only because the turns were sharp and you had to ride the brake but it is certainly do-able for all ages and you get to see beautiful views from the mountain! The guides helped us take great pictures. It’s an enjoyable few hours of something different! My husband and I recommend it!

We are in our elderly years and were wondering if we could make it up the mountain on an e-bike. We also wanted to do something different in Hawaii and took the plunge. Well we had a lovely cycle up the mountain and back and with the help of Mike and an e-bike it was easy peasy! We stopped along the way up and down to take photos and admire the view. Both my husband and myself have osteo arthritis and found the ride incredibly easier than we thought. So if anyone is thinking of doing this tour I would say, give it a go. It is something different and lots of fun. Thanks Mike!

This venture was a bit of a disappointment. We ebiked up a public road, and down the same. Although there were views of the city, this could have been done easily by car. For the price of almost $300 for 2 riders this was not worth the value.

Firstly Daniel was a first class tour guide for this eBike Tour and his knowledge of Hawaii was truly outstanding. He was very friendly and made the whole experience one we will truly remember from our trip to Hawaii. It was really nice to travel up into the rain-forest canopy and see the island from a totally different perspective with some amazing views. Having never ridden an eBike before I was totally blown away at how easy this made the climb to 1600ft so easy, I genuinely felt like I had two people pushing me from behind, incredible. Overall I would strongly recommend this tour for a few hours to get away for the hustle of down town and get a fell for the relaxing side of Hawaii, thanks Daniel.

It sounds intimidating to ride a bike up a mountain but the electric assist made it simple. Only used the full e-boost to get up steep grades. Never ridden an e-bike? No worries. If you can ride a bike you can easily do this. The scenery was beautiful especially the panoramic views of Diamond Head and Honolulu. Our guide, Mike, was excellent. He did not push anyone. He kept a close eye on the group to make sure everyone was doing fine; we all did great. Would do this again in a heartbeat.
