Ann was an exceptional host. Her passion and knowledge was fantastic. The food was absolutley delicious and felt that it gave us a real taste of Shanghai. I am a pescatarian and was able to enjoy lots of vegetarian dishes. Ann also went above and beyond with different recommendations and advice for other activities in Shanghai. Couldn't recommend this tour enough!

We have tried lots of food and all of them are very delicious. Our guide was great and she gave us the background of the food and interesting stories. I definately will recommend this food tour to my other friends.

Had a wonderful stroll and savor through Shanghai’s French Concession with Cloris as our guide. We enjoyed stops at several restaurants which had tables set for our small group and the delicious food was served promptly. You will definitely get a variety of dishes throughout the night, topped off with a nice dessert and a stop at a local tap house. Very enjoyable evening.

What a fun way to get to see the French Comcession area of Shanghai! We are sooooo much food and each dish was absolutely delicious. Our guide, Cloris, was friendly and very knowledgeable - we had no idea it was her first tour as she was very confident and knew so much about each local restaurant. Make sure you arrive hungry!

A friend took me on this tour and it was a great way to identify and taste amazing local food. My friend was a vegetarian but she was accommodated for perfectly. It was raining that night so they had a few cancellations so there was just the two of us and the two guides, which worked out well. Great food, great stories and great experience.

Cora ably led our group of business travelers and Shanghai and Beijing expats through the maze of skyscrapers and alleys of Shanghai with many delicious stops along the way. On Saturday's tour, we tasted a unique type of xiao long bao, several Yunnan dishes, a famous pork belly dish, handmade scallion noodles, a soup and sesame bun with Fujianese flavors, and truly the best dessert on the planet in a shop that barely accommodated our group. This was our third Lost Plate Tour and it exceeded our expectations.

I booked this tour as a surprise for my boyfriend, and it was a really great experience! We are both new to Shanghai and wanted to try the local food. The food varied from sit down restaurants to smaller, hole-in-the-wall style places. Cora, our host, was really excellent and definitely made the tour. She was knowledgeable about the food and also the history of Shanghai. Upon finding out that some of the group had tried certain foods before, she quickly adapted and took us to try some new dishes. She also recommended different local beers to us. Overall, the food was delicious and we are actually going to go back to get the soup dumplings tonight. I'd say the amount of food and the timing between each dish was spot on. It was really enjoyable to walk around the French Concession at night. I would recommend this tour if you are new to Shanghai or even if you are just a foodie. I will definitely do the tour again if I have visitors.

Really fantastic experience from start to finish. Delicious food we’d never have found on our own, great chat throughout the night (Cora was brilliant company), and a charming walk around the French concession to boot! Food and vibes were very varied, from high end restaurants to curb-side snacks. Cora also kept bringing us new drinks to try, all of which were great. Couldn’t recommend this more. Thanks Cora for a 10/10 evening!

We booked this tour based on a recommendation and are very happy we did! Stopped at 4 restaurants and a brewery and tried 7 dishes, including dessert, with local drinks. Hoped to grab some soup dumplings but those weren’t a part of this tour. Our guide, Cora [偷笑], was amazing! She was knowledgeable about both the food and Shanghai and made us feel like visiting friends instead of tourists.

The whole tour was fun and chill. Cora was a very knowledgeable and outgoing guide. The whole experience felt like a group of friends hanging out.

Our guide, Diana, was terrific. We enjoyed all of the dishes and food stops, all of the commentary about local history and culture, and came away agreeing that we all got a sense of the "living vibe" of the city in the evening and into the night. Heartily recommended.

Cora was incredibly bubbly and knowledgeable, she made the event memorable and fun. The soup dumplings were pretty good, the noodles were average, organic restaurant with pork belly was a little disappointing (empty restaurant is never a great sign) but the mango/coconut yoghurt was fantastic. Beer is supplied throughout via local convenience stores which wasn’t what I had in mind but again Cora made up for some of these let downs with her personality and enthusiasm. The bar at the end was perfect with a great choice of beer and excellent cocktails.
