In the northernmost region of Vietnam, Ha Giang is a remote destination that has been open to tourism for only a few years. With a population of just over 700,000 people, this is one of Vietnam’s poorest places, and it shows—not because it is decrepit or run-down, but just the opposite—not being reliant on a strong economy has kept the area pristine and preserved, virtually untouched by the harmful effects of mass tourism and big industries.
The region boasts nature as you have probably never seen it. Massive limestone walls, granite outcrops everywhere, hanging valleys, rice terraces climbing to the clouds, and winding roads carved into the mountainsides.

The scenery was amazing and it was such a wonderful experience. The motorbike ride was thrilling but some parts of it was a bit worrying as it was close to the cliff's edge but the motorbike drivers were very experience.
This is by far one of the best experiences in my life, let alone traveling Vietnam. This is a must when visiting the North of Vietnam, it’s off the best and track and so different to the usual bog standard excursions and tours around Vientam. Dien made this experience very special from the unique hidden waterfalls to the amazing lunch with view, to camping next to a mountain and having a camp fire singing and drinking (lots) of local happy juice! taking the boat across the lake was special and trekking through the pass was fantastic. 10/10 recommend. Ha Giang Adventure is a great social enterprise that I feel like everyone has done the trip with them will never forget.
I had traveled extensively in Vietnam before I moved here and had never heard of Ha Giang. I found out about this trip through my boyfriend and decided to go and I am SO GLAD I DID!! At the time, this was one of the only companies taking tourists and foreigners on the loop and they were so amazing, I have since taken all of my visitors for a trip around the Ha Giang Loop with Positive Tours (8+ trips). No one has had a single bad experience. And since they were one of the first, they have the most experience and the best guides in the area. This company is so good, @BeatifulDestinations even hired them for their #SpinTheGlobe campaign for their entire trip to Vietnam. I will never get tired of this trip. The views are breathtaking. The homestays are a fantastic experience. The food is delicious. The drivers and guides are safe, friendly, knowledgeable and speak good english. PLUS they never take more than 6 people in a group. I can't imagine doing this trip with a larger group than that. You'd miss out on so much. Love love LOVE the Ha Giang Loop and wouldn't dream of going with any other company.
The Ha Giang loop motorbike tour was one of the beat travel experiences I have had thus far. Everything was taken care of from the beginning to the end. Our guides were absolutely wonderful and an absolute joy to be around. I would recommend this trip over and over again.
Really amazing experience. The views in Ha Giang are breathtaking! I was nervous going into this trip because I had not driven a motorcycle before. The team worked with me before hand in Hanoi to ensure I was comfortable driving the motorcycle. They also have the option for people to ride on the back with a driver. My group was 5 guests and 3 guides. A good size. The guides spoke good English and were thorough with safety. Definitely recommend this trip for someone who wants to experience riding the Ha Giang loop.
If you want your vacation to be exceptional then you should choose Cuong and his team. It was amazing. Great people, stunning views and unforgetable time. And thank you Dien for taking care of me.
Epic is a great word to describe our adventure to the montains of north Vietnan! Really incredible landscapes, close living with people and culture, unique taste of typical vietnamise food... really enjoyed and recommend!
Loved it so much .awesome guide was dien, very helpful and knowledgable.anything we wanted he was always there to help out.the homestay was awesome seeing local people living in the countryside with traditional values and was good seeing tribal people in there tribal coloured clothes.also good eating meals together and talking about the ride.i will one day do this again and i highly recomend.remember to take warm clothing as it is cold when high in mountains.thanks dien for making it a trip to remember.
We did the Eastern Ha Giang Loop Tour with two guides Su and Phong. They were the most kind and nice people, we always felt safe and cared. Amazing views, delicious food and so many nice people. We highly recommend doing the tour with these guys, it was my favorite part of 4 weeks traveling through vietnam.
This was the highlight of Vietnam for me. I enjoyed the experience of being on the back of the bike and taking the beauty in. Both Pou and Tom were helpful and they showed me how amazing their country is. I would recommend this trip for those that want to explore and see a different side of Vietnam.
I did the 4D3N tour in January just before Tet and it was absolutely incredible! Insane views, delicious food, great company... Phong and Su were awesome guides — highly recommend doing a guided trip if you get the chance. The night at the homestay in Du Gia was my favorite — I hope I can come do the loop again sometime in the summer and stay at more homestays along the way. (Also: it’s really cold in the winter, so bring some layers!)
The tour was amazing, so scenic and beautiful. My guide Tam was an excellent tour guide, and knew of lots of places off the main road to visit, and was very friendly and informative. All the transfers from Hanoi and back were very smooth too. The bike was easy to use and I was given protection gear also. I would recommend this tour company and Tam to anyone wanting to do the Ha Giang loop!

3 dages tur i Nordvietnam.
This trip was well worth it. The bikes were in great shape and they took care of everything included a massage and sauna after the second.d day at a nice resort . The food and homestays were nice and the guides were awesome. Great value for the price. Honestly I never take tours but it was a absolutely worth it to see this loop.

We had an unbelievable time travelling on the back of motorbikes throughout the loop. Dien and Duan were brilliant guides and very safe drivers! They made the experience so enjoyable, couldn't recommend them enough! The views were incredible, I will tell all of my friends coming here not to miss out on this tour. On the last day of rained a bit and we were given brilliant poncho's that kept us dry. The home stay and hotels were great. We are lunch as a group every day which was lovely, as you don't get to chat while riding along the pass. Everybody must do this when in northern Vietnam!!
We had a great adventure doing the Ha Giang loop. Our Guide Dien was really friendly and explained everything very well. A very helpful person which made the trip perfect! His english was great! Very beautiful nature and the bikes were good. I really recommend this tour!
I did the Ha Giang Loop by motorbike with a guide (Dien James). The Ha Giang Loop is really something to do : the landscape, the people, everything is really really nice. But, if you are not very confortable with the motorbike, I recommend you to take a driver for the motorbike and you can sit behind. The transports were good and well organized (from Hanoï). Our guide was Dien James. He is very very kind, his english is good and he brings us in nice places to eat and he really takes care of us. We slept in beautiful places (homestay, hotel...). It was a great experience, thank you for all.
Ha Giang Loop - 4 days, 3 nights After travelling SE Asia for a month, this was the highlight of my trip. Having never rode a Motor bike before, I decided to embark on a group tour that was recommended by our hostel (little charm) in Hanoi. I would highly recommend this tour to riders with limited experience through to experienced riders as the tour accommodates both. Our leader (Quang) was exceptional in providing a wealth of knowledge and making the tour super fun Below is the key highlights.... Pros - Good company - Fun and knowledgeable tour guides - Capturing best viewpoints/ waterfalls and other local culture stops - Quick and efficient repairs of flat tyres (3 on our trip) in the middle of nowhere - Local homestay in treehouse provided unique experience - Comfortable travel from Hanoi Negatives (minor point ) - Different levels of riding experience but there are stretches to burn some rubber Highly recommend this tour and Quang and his team were exceptional.
I recently visited Ha giang with friends. I can hardly drescribe how lucky we were joining Phong's bike tour group and how appreciated throughout this impressive 4 days and 3 nights trip. The weather was great. The Vietnameses minorities were so FRIENDLY. Staffs were so SUPPORTIVE, ENTERTAINING, and safety-oriented. With Vietnamese way of living. Their way of welcoming with HAPPY WATER. You will joyfully learn and gain amazing experience. PS dont wait. All those capitalized ones are better to be experienced by yourself
Just finished the most amazing and unforgettable tour of my life. My guide Hoa made the unbelievable scenery even more memorable. Thank you so much, I will be back for more :)

Very well organised by Cuong lots of insightful surprises and our guide for the adventure was awesome too. Eagle - like the bird. Recommended
Nous avons passé 3 jours magnifique, des paysages incroyable et un super guide Igo ! Nous conseillons d’aller faire ce tours !
This was one of the best experiences of my life!!! My tour guides were absolutely incredible, they made the experience what it was. It would not have been nearly as fun if it weren’t for how awesome they were! Also, the views on this trip are otherworldly. This whole thing was absolutely unreal. And the value of the experience for what you pay is absolutely ridiculous.
