I had high expectations for this tour but the scenery, our guide and the castles surpassed everything. Our guide Patrick was beyond excellent; knowledgeable, friendly and on every detail went the extra mile e.g. in the morning we stopped at the Gollinger waterfall which was an unexpected but beautiful treat. And then at lunchtime he'd made a reservation for us on the off chance at a hotel local to the Eagles Nest. We had a fantastic meal sitting on the roof terrace with views of the castle in a restaurant we would never have found ourselves. In addition Patrick had collected pictures, information & anecdotes which further enhanced the whole experience. It was a glorious day weather wise & I cannot praise Patrick highly enough. If you enjoy history, scenery and want a charming, knowledgeable & entertaining guide then this is the tour for you.

We took the tour to Eagle’s Nest and Berchtesgaden from Salzburg. The tour guide was punctual and professional. He drove us to our destination and pointed out several areas on the route! It was spectacular scenery and the tour guide/driver knew the area well! He maneuvered the traffic well and took different routes to and from so we could see different scenery. We were very pleased with this group and would recommend!

Our tour guide was phenomenal. She knew so much about the waterfall, Zugspitze and Neuschwanstein, as well as the entire surrounding area. It was a full day, but we got in a lot of sightseeing to several major attractions. She was also very accommodating in taking us to not one but two Sound of Music filming locations along the way. This is a trip not to be missed! Also noteworthy: her driving was superb. We have now been on several private tours where the guide’s driving was reckless.

Our Driver and guide Patrick was simply marvelous - he brought the entire experience to life - so fun and knowledgable - we felt like we were spending the day with another family member👍🎉

The day we were to visit The Eagles Nest, it snowed on the mountain tops and the conditions were windy so the Eagles Nest was closed. Our excellent guide, Lena, worked with us to customize our day and it was one of the best days of our vacation. Lena was an excellent and fun guide and she had fantastic ideas to replace The Eagles Nest (which we were able to view from below).

Great time visiting the eagles nest, werfen castle and waterfall. A truly great day. Patrick was likely the best guide we have ever had. He was timely, courteous, knowledgeable and very friendly. Would love to take another tour with him if we are ever back

Manfred was exceptional once again!!! Taking us to all things SOUND OF MUSIC (including the places RARELY visited by most and impossible for tour buses), even showing the exact camera locations and confirming it with movie clips. Also showing us the ruins of Hitlers home hidden in the woods (only one other person there) which is not accessible to bus tours. Incredible…the history that Manfred conveys seems to comes effortlessly from a deep knowledge of the subject matter.

We did this tour and Patrick our tour guide was prompt in picking us up, he was incredibly polite and super knowledgeable being from Salzburg. He made our trip worth every penny and left nothing out ! We felt incredibly comfortable with him and even had lunch with him . We cannot recommend him enough he went above and beyond thank you MCM tours 10/10 Patrick .

One of the best private tour companies we have used! Manfred and Patrick do everything they can to make certain what you want to see and experience comes true! From picking you up at your hotel, to explaining in detail the background histories concerning where you are going to visit, to going the extra mile (literally) to sneak in an extra site, they are a delight to spend the day with:-)! Actually, for us it was two days! We liked our first day of private touring with them so much that we booked an additional day! Visiting the berghoff site the where many of the worlds gruesome plans were conceived ,of which the consequences we still live with today. The eagles nest is an engineering/architectural marvel conceived by the same twisted minds.

Incredible scenery from, perhaps, the best mountaintop in the Alps. History pictured with FDR, Chamberlain, And the villains of WWII. Pretty drive up and short walk from house to best view. Check months closed before going.

The lift up to the castle makes it so much easier and the bird show and all the other activities they do there are great. Easy place to spend a full day and great history to the place as well.

My driver (Patrick) was great. Very knowledgeable, got around traffic, got to everywhere. Eagles nest was closed which was a bummer but not their fault. He suggested another mountain top which we went to which I have no idea what it was called but began with an R. That was a great spot to go and look out. He also gave me great insider tips. Would do again.

We had a beautiful day for this tour and to see the sights around Werfen and Salzburg. Unfortunately it was June 4th and we could not get to the Eagles Nest since it was closed due to weather(?). The guide added a few Sound of Music locations to make up for the lost time. The other sites were fantastic. Our guide was very knowledgeable of th area and attractions.

If I could give this 6 stars out of 5, I would. The tour was spectacular. Our guide was awesome - professional, very knowledgeable and friendly. We covered not only the main attractions listed but several other points of interest along the way. Both Eagles Nest and Werfen castle are remarkable both for their historical context and stunning locations. Our guide regaled us with numerous points of trivia which made our tour truly memorable. Wholeheartedly recommend this one.

Visita eccezionale con foto fantastiche, camminata comoda per il sentiero nel bosco. Magnifica esperienza da rifare

Ein leichter Fußweg und man erreicht die Burg, es gibt aber auch eine Kabinenbahn. Die Burganlage ist top erhalten. Sehr zu empfehlen ist die Burgtour. Vom Glockenturm hat man einen herrlichen Ausblick. Das grande Finale ist die Glug Show der Greifvögel. Wir haben locker vier Sunden in de Burg verbracht. Für Kids absolut ein Highlight.

Tres beau chateau montée en funiculaire,il n'y a pas de telepherique comme dans le film,bonne visite, rien en francais, prevoir de l'argent liquide pour la boutique du chateau,car pas de carte bleu c'est dommage, parking gratuit,voir aussi le village de werfen maison decorée magnifique
