Great option to see Dyker Heights. J.A was a lovely tour guide, lots of information on the drive over. When you get to Dyker Heights you have the option of walking round by yourself or following the tour guide around, which I think is a great option as you can walk round as quick or slow as you’d like as long as you are back at the bus by a certain point. We really wanted to see the houses and was considering hiring a car but felt uncomfortable due to being different side drive that what we are used to, not knowing where to go and being extremely busy so this was perfect for us. The houses and lights themselves are a MUST. They’re amazing and really get you into the Christmas spirit. Love how into the festivity some houses get. Book this trip you won’t regret it.

What a lovely tour for this honeymoon couple! So much knowledge and enthusiasm. I recommend 150%! We never would have gone to Brooklyn or seen half of what we did without this tour!

JA is an excellent tour guide, consider yourself very lucky if you get him on this tour! So much knowledge, very engaging and passionate about New York. Bus driver Jesse managed to navigate us all skilfully and smoothly through crazy holiday traffic. Dyker heights is a truly unique experience and finishing up at the Rockefeller tree caps off an all around excellent tour.

The tour was very good and Ray was super knowledgeable about the city and an entertaining tour guide. I was born/raised in NJ and learned a few new things which was fun for me. The lights were gorgeous and definitely worth seeing. The reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the walk through the neighborhood happened at a pretty fast pace and that killed some of the joy for us. When I stepped back to photo a house (which I did a lot), I almost always had to scramble to find the tour guide afterwards because he was a full block or more away already. There were all kinds of vendors set up thru the streets selling churros and hot chocolate, ice cream and trinkets and we wanted to partake but were afraid if we waited in line, we’d never find the tour guide again. At the very end of the tour we found an ice cream truck with no line and quickly got some treats. The vendor served us quickly and we hustled to catch up with our group. We were no more than 3-4 minutes behind MAX. Don’t you know when we got to the bus, they’d already closed the doors and started driving away!!!! I had to bang on the side of the bus and yell HEY HEY STOP for them to see me and open the doors for us. The people inside said they had just barely gotten into the bus and sat down when it started to drive away AND they said they never saw anyone do a headcount. That’s just irresponsible and unacceptable, in my opinion. Here’s an idea for the tour team: what about printing out a map and giving people the opportunity to explore on their own? Mark where the bus will be parked and what time to meet. People have phones with gps, they’ll find their way. Those who want to stick like glue to the guide can do it and others can meander and enjoy at their own pace. I would have preferred to see fewer houses and had the opportunity to enjoy a hot chocolate. Another idea, maybe collect cell phone numbers when people register so you can text/call them if they’re not back at the bus on time. Or, give out a business cell number so guests can call/text you if they stopped for an ice cream, fell and need help or whatever. Overall it was an enjoyable trip but almost getting left in Brooklyn was not cool, not cool at all.
