This was an ideal tour for my first full day in Dresden. Thomas was friendly, enthusiastic, and informative. He provided our small group an over two-hour overview of the history and art of the city. He also gave excellent recommendations for restaurants. Highly recommended tour.

I would book our tour guide Thomas any time again. It was a great tour around Dresden. It was very interesting, never boring to listen to him because of his entertaining way of talking and as a local of Dresden he had a lot of first-hand experience and knowledge around the development of the city. We learnt a lot and after checking out some of his recommended food spots we were very glad we took his advice. It was an experience worth all the money and a really good time we won't forget!

Thomas was a GREAT guide. I would take the same tour again—it was very enjoyable. So much history and Thomas is a font of knowledge, especially at pointing out interesting details with historical context. And he was raised in Dresden, so he has personal knowledge of some of the developments the last 20 years.

Thomas provides a highly informative and entertaining tour. His English skills are VERY good. Thomas’ personal stories add powerful authority to his tour. Rather than trying to see “everything”, we found the tour special as the focus was on the history associated with specific architectural elements. His recommendation for Cafe Codo was most helpful.

Almost 50 years ago my college art history professor told me to go to Dresden if I ever got the chance. So when Thomas said he was an art historian I felt like I hit the jackpot. But Thomas brought so much more, more in depth than your typical tour and weaving the art with the history of Dresden. So even if you're looking more for a history tour you would enjoy having Thomas as your guide. We heartily agree with all of the other glowing reviews.
