We only had 2 days in Doha and wanted to get the most bang for our buck to see the city and sights. Driver was prompt, friendly and informative. Just what we were looking for. Highly recommend if you have limited time in Doha.

I wish I could submit a better review, as I was excited because of all the good reviews I read, but I was very disappointed with my tour guide Mr. Adil and wanted to leave a detailed review for other people considering booking through this company. Positives: -He was friendly -He took great pictures -He saved me time by exchanging USD to QAR currency at a fair price -Vehicle air conditioning was very cold Negatives: -He messaged me the same day as the tour and said he had to be 30 mins late, but somehow was able to show up 15 minutes early after I promised (in advance) to pay him a big tip. -English was only 50% understandable. -Did not have much knowledge about the economic boom Qatar has experienced over the past 15 years, he just kept referencing how FIFA (just 2 years ago) “helped Qatar grow”. -He had little knowledge of the sites we visited, gave incorrect information, and drove by some sites, playing down their importance, instead of parking and getting out (which was included in the itinerary). -Katara Cultural Village: He drove by and called it a “fancy shopping mall”, so I chose not to get out to walk through it. The next day I went to the village by myself and it was everything but “a fancy mall”, it was one of the most beautiful sites I’ve seen in Doha. The village is the largest and the most multidimensional and cultural project of Qatar, with architectural influences from Qatar, Italy, Portugal, France, Dominican Republic, and Greece, to name a few. It has a breathtaking 5,000-person marble outdoor theater overlooking the sea, 2 mosques, concert halls, exhibition galleries, and everything was cutting-edge. It even had an expansive outdoor plaza with endless air conditioning floor vents blowing cold AC out from the ground that could be felt when walking anywhere on the plaza. I’ve never seen anything like it before, it was really cool! (see pictures attached). The “fancy mall” was just a small part of the village. Ironically, the day after my tour with Adil when I went to the village by myself, I saw him drive past the parking lot in his black toyota land cruiser with another guest (and also did not stop). This is a MUST SEE if you take a Doha city tour and the outdoor theater is open 24/7 to the public, taking in the view at night it’s a relaxing way to end an evening. -National Museum of Qatar: He claimed to have completed 100+ tours of the Museum, but was unable to share any meaningful information about any of the exhibits despite me asking several times. After asking 5 times, the most he shared was quite literally, “that is pottery”, “that is a pearl”, “that is a carpet” when I asked more about the carpet, he said “I don’t know a lot about the carpet because ladies know more about that stuff than men”. Upon reading the plaque, I learned that the “carpet” was the Baroda Carpet, valued at USD $5.5M and made to be a cover for the tomb of the Prophet (PBUH) in Medina. It was decorated with more than 1.5 million pieces of natural local marine pearls, rubies, emeralds, sapphires, gold and diamonds, very interesting and beautiful. It was definitely not just “a carpet that only ladies know about” this is an item, I believe very guide should know about, especially one who has completed 100+ tours (see attached pics). -Basic History Knowledge: He also wasn’t able to answer simple questions about Qatar’s history like, what empire or country was Qatar a part of before it became Qatar. This seems like a simple enough question, considering Google told me they declared independence from Great Britain in 1971, were part of Saudi Arabia before than, and were under Ottoman control before that. Bottom Line: If you enjoy more of a “drive and look” kind of tour, I’d say this is fine, but expensive for what you get. If you like tours where you learn about the city, culture, and sites I’d suggest finding another option.

Our guide, Ismail, was very good. He showed us the major sights and told us a lot of the history of Doha. My husband and I continued to quote what he told us throughout our trip. I highly recommend taking this tour early in your trip in order to get a good layout of the city, then you can return to the places that interested you. Ismail was very knowledgeable and kind. He bought us coffee and orange juice at the Souq, took lots of photos of us, and just generally knew the best spots in Doha to show us. We were very pleased with our tour and highly recommend Ismail.

My wife and I had a wonderful tour today with Abdul Nasir. He was a very knowledgeable and communicative guide, taking us to many diverse places in Doha. I especially enjoyed the older market which reflected many Qatari purchase interests, from the basics to the elaborate expensive luxuries. It was a treat to see all the varied architecture (civic, religious, cultural, residential) and all the city planning efforts that have taken place. It is truly a unique city. Abdul took more time to allow us to linger at places that excited us the most. Thank you. tom

The Tour around the city with Abdul Nassir was brilliant. He picked us up and started straight away with a wealth of knowledge about the city its history and was able to answer all our random questions. He was very patient and even took us to a couple areas that we asked to see that weren’t part of the tour. Excellent value for money

The tour is very complete for only 4 hours, the city is impressive, everything is perfectly done and thought out. Our guide was Sohail, very attentive, he answered all our questions, treated us with great respect and took us to all the places of interest, even though we went very early in the morning and on a Friday (rest day in Doha) anyways he tried to get us into most of the places. We hadn't had breakfast, so he took us to a place with very delicious typical Arabic food and then to have a tea, everything was great, we had a great time. thank you so much.

Zohaib was a wonderful guide. Respectful, kind and patient. Our tour had to be modified since many landmarks were closed due to Ramadan hours and he was flexible and worked with us to maximize the time and the experience. We learned a lot about Qatar and spent a wonderful afternoon thanks to Zohaib.

Undertook this 4 hour tour with Abdul nasir whilst we had a 2 night stopover in Doha between flights. Abdul took us to all the areas mentioned in previous reviews and assisted us with any questions we had. We left the tour with many great photos and an increased knowledge about Doha! We would recommend this tour.

Abdul was simply superb! Despite that I provided the incorrect pick up address he was on time and communicated with me very early. He was a delight to travel with - courteous, obliging with our suggestions and did not rush the experience whatsoever. His local knowledge was informative as was his freedoms to discuss life as a local of Qatar. His driving provided safety at all times and the vehicle was very comfortable to ride in. The visit to the Mosque was my highlight where we got a close insight into local religion. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the Katar Village. We certainly saw far more than we expected! Abdul’s arrival at the top of the beautiful Bayt el Talleh parkland surrounded by many locals rejoicing the break of the Ramadan daily fast, the sound of the gun announcing the break of the fast and a setting sunset - was spectacular and timed to perfection! We could not have asked for anything more from Abdul other than wishing we had more time to spend with him as the acquaintance only grew stronger as the afternoon moved on. Many thanks Abdul - “baarak allahu feek“. Steve

Noor took us around to all the wonderful highlights of Doha: the old market, the falcon hospital, the harbor and skyline, downtown, Pearl Island, “little Italy” (Venice), and the National Museum. Just the right combination of walking and driving over a 4-hour period. Very clean, beautiful, and safe city.

During our brief layover in Doha, Abdul Nasir transformed a mere 4-hour tour into an unforgettable journey through the city's heart. From the airport pickup to our return, Abdul enchanted us with his deep knowledge and genuine warmth, expertly navigating Doha's landmarks like the Islamic Art Museum, Souq Waqif, and the Corniche. His passionate storytelling and thoughtful pace allowed us to soak in the rich tapestry of Qatari culture and history. Abdul's attentive and personalized approach made our short visit not only educational but deeply engaging, leaving us eager to return and explore more of what Doha has to offer.

I had a long layover in Qatar in my way to Manila and decided to take the 4 hrs city tour in Doha. What an amazing city!. Abdul Nazir, my tour guide did a wonderful job taking me to the “must see”places in Doha to get a good flavor of this wonderful city. He was on time picking me up at airport, excellent english, very kind, flexible and accommodating to ensure he far exceeded my expectations. And he did!. Strongly recommend Golden Adventures Qatar and please ask for Abdul Nazir as your tour guide. Thank you Abdul!
