Pooja, our amazing tour guide, was not only friendly and funny but also helped us negotiate for bags and treated us to delicious chai. Despite the overall warmth of the community, one unsettling incident occurred when someone in the slum jokingly wielded a large knife at her. It was frightening, but Pooja remained composed and diffused the tension. The tour truly shifted our perception of slums, highlighting the resilience and pride within the community.

Our tour was well done. Aryan was kind, warm and welcoming as he took us around, explaining everything and being very respectful of the individuals who live there. Highly recommended.

Aryan was a nice young man who gave us a great tour of the area and we had good conversations during the tour. Perfect pace and tour went through both commercial and residential side. Small group which was nice.

Amazing.. 🤩 😻 🤩 Pooja our guide was fantastic… very informative, knowledgeable extremely friendly and her English is excellent! We had a private, there was plenty of time to ask questions! We even sat down and drank a Marsala tea! To see the slum from her eyes ( as she still lives there ) is eye opening! The slum is not what you think it is, don’t think about booking! Just do it!!

We did a tour with Varsha and she showed us around in Dharavi. Very interesting to see the industrial and residential parts of the slum. Varsha told us a lot about life in the slum, it was a great experience.

Was ok, felt like it was far too overpriced for what we did, thought we would have seen a bit more instead of some factories.

Hasan picked us up at our hotel since we chose that option and even stopped to let us see the outdoor laundry so we wouldn’t miss it. Pooja lead a group of 6 of us through the slum area. Several shops were closed because of religious holidays, but we saw enough of the industry and residential areas. It’s a very busy area and you have to watch were you step, and for vehicles.

I really enjoyed the tour. Sahil was great at telling about the inner workings and businesses in Dharavi, showing a lot of detail. He sometimes even took us into shops and workspaces, while also letting us know when it would or would not be okay to take photos, making sure we stayed respectful to the ones living in Dharavi. We had a great group of people, where even though I joined solo, I was very quickly included and talking with everyone. Our tour guide Sahil lives in Dharavi himself, giving a very unique perspective of the area.

Varsha was fantastic! She is super friendly, funny and ver knowledgeable. We discussed not only about life in the slum but also local politics, economy… we loved our experience and strongly recommend it to anybody interested in knowing more about the country.

Varsha was my tour guide and we learned so much. I had many prejudices before visiting Dharavi and now I feel so much more educated. Highly recommend to anyone looking to understand the culture better.

The tour was very interesting and the tour guide Varsha was excellent. Seeing Dharavi was an amazing experience and we learnt a lot about it. Varsha gave us a lot of great information about Dharavi, plus extra anecdotes too! She took pictures of us and allowed us to hot spot as we had no internet signal. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Mumbai, and ask for Varsha!

Dharavi itself is nice, but tour was very very poor for the next reasons: -It's stated that it's between 2 and 3 hours, and in reality is not even 1:30 -Guide was rushing -All info shared by the guide was what can be found in google, nothing special -She took us to 1 or 2 interesting places, the rest was literally like walking in the city -Guide was too full of herself

Our tour guide Puja was excellent. Very informative but also a lot of fun and took time to answer our questions. She is highly recommended but transport before and after the tour was not well organised which made it much longer than advertised.
