Gleann Doherty is incredible. We will be going back to Derry again and we are will request Gleann Doherty as a guide if possible. Gleann is the real deal. An expert. And one helluva great human being. It was both an honor and privilege to be in his company.

Gleann did a wonderful job sharing fun facts about Derry Girls, tying locations and lines to what he showed us. He also did a great job giving us the historical background for the show and many of its lines.

What a cracking tour, Angela was amazing. The walk, talk and sight seeing was brilliant. My lad is a big Derry Girls fan, and enjoyed the experience so much. Now for me! Angela's knowledge on Derry enlightened me more about the struggles the Derry people endured that my Father, a Donegal man had already made me aware of as I grew up. Had a great tour with Gleann, he was so knowledgable and he really knew his audience! We had a young Derry girls super fan and he was able to tailor it so that she was fascinated and able to show off her knowledge all at once! Lots of Derry history too which we all enjoyed! Also plenty of tips of things to see and not get ripped off as naive tourists!

We did a walking tour of Derry with Gleann in summer 2023 and it was amazing! Gleann not only showed us all the Derry Girls filming locations and knew all of the behind the scenes details and significance but he also shared his personal experiences growing up and living in Derry during the Troubles. He showed us several significant places where conflict took place and we were really moved by the history. 20/10 cannot recommend Gleann more highly. Would do it again in a heartbeat!

Can't recommend this tour enough! My mom and I had a blast and agreed it was one of our favorite parts of our trip to Ireland/Northern Ireland. Gleann was very knowledgable about Derry Girls and Derry history, weaving the two together very well on the tour. He even explained some more history behind some of the jokes in the show (like why protestants hate ABBA) and symbolic significances that make me appreciate the brilliance of the show even more.

This IS the tour for any Derry Girls fan! We had a great time thanks to our wonderful tour guide, Glenn. In addition to the walking tour of the filming locations for the show, our tour guide weaved in anecdotes from life in Derry/Londonderry that were touched upon in the lives of the Derry Girls characters (coming of age during The Troubles). As a local himself, Glenn was able to add a degree of context and depth that would have not been possible had we ventured out on our own. As a side note, Derry/Londonderry is a beautiful city!

Michael is a terrific tour guide. It felt like I was being shown around Derry by an uncle or family friend, very informative about the history whilst not sounding like he’s going off a memorizes essay he’s repeated many times. This was just a great experience. Angela, our guide is a lifelong resident of Derry, and was able to put what we saw on screen into context and perspective. We learned a great deal about life in Derry during the troubles as well as today. We also got to explore and visit many of the places featured on the show. Obviously, this is a special interest tour for fans of the show, but additionally, it's an important part of Irish history. I would strongly urge anyone visiting Ireland to get out to visit Derry which is today a functioning, vibrant, city at peace. (I wish we had more time to spend in Derry!) And yes, I did get a photo of my spouse doing his best James from atop the wall, but he won't let me post it.

Fascinating and fun! Our wonderful guide Angela skillfully wove together fan-favorite moments from the series with historical highlights and her own childhood memories of Derry. We can’t wait to watch all three seasons again! I know it will have a new and deeper meaning for us.

We did this tour with Angela who was brilliant. She incorporated Derry Girls into the history of Derry and her experience in growing up in Derry. We really enjoyed the tour. My husband had not watched the program but he also found the tour great. Highly recommend and we look forward to returning to Derry.
