We had an amazing experience on the tour with Mike. He was most knowledgeable, informative and just wonderful for our family group (we were a family of six: 2 adults. 2 seniors, one grown up child and one young child). He judged how much or little we wanted of the tour and was very accommodating. It was very nice and convenient to be picked up and dropped off at our hotel, and the transportation was great. Would definitely recommend this tour and Mike as a tour guide.

Our family loved this private tour! Mike listened to our interests and customized the tour to make it an exclusive and fun experience for everyone in the family. We visited the Largest Black Sand Beach, Capitan Cook’s Resting place, City of Refuge, Coffee Plantation, hiked couple of volcano craters, lava tube and last but not least the Lava Glow at the Volcano National Park. What made the trip even better is all that we learned about the geology, history and culture. Mike has a wealth of knowledge about so many things. We had so much fun!

Mike took us on a fabulous tour of the southern most point of the US, black sand beach, and Volcano National Park. His special certification allowed us to go off-trail and view the crater from very close to the rim. He was super agreeable to whatever we wanted to do, and so knowledgeable and a great storyteller. He also took some great pictures of us! Unfortunately the "glow" was not visible the night of our visit, but of course that was out of his control. He also gave us restaurant recommendations and shared tons of information about local lore, plants, shopping, etc. For the remainder of the vacation whenever we needed information we collectively said "Where's Mike?!"

The tour we took truly was a fascinating experience. Among the tours we have taken across many countries, this was absolutely incredible. We saw a beautiful waterfall, coffee farms, and the most intriguing of all, Kilauea Volcano. The delicious food we ate after the long journey across the lava rocks, was perfect. Spending time with my family on this tour will be an incredible memory for me.
