We had such a great evening with Simon! Right from the beginning Simon was engaging and informative about Madrid and its food. We had amazing churros, delicious cured meats, olive oils and met the owners of various booths in the market. One of the highlights was selecting a fish from the fish market and then having it grilled at Barceló Bistro by Jesus (who was very friendly and so nice to hang out with). Would recommend this tour for any families with tweens/teens looking to do something a little different! Simon made sure the tour was geared to our 12 year old daughter who really enjoyed it! The whole process of arranging the tour was well organized. Definitely one of our favorite tours in Spain!

Irene was amazing. Took us to awesome local spots and a fun market. Felt like a local. Ended with a fantastic tapas meal. So much food!

The food tour was really informative and interesting. We tried a variety of local specialties and learned a lot about the cuisine, culture and history of Madrid and Spain. Our guide, Oliver, was incredibly knowledgeable and made the experience fun.

I can’t say enough great things about our Walk and Eat De Tapas: An Evening Food and Wine Tour with Margit and Angie. My husband and I, along with our 20-something daughters had an incredible time and list the experience and the food as the top highlight of our Spain trip! We were especially blown away by the new vegan tour option that one of my daughters was able to enjoy. Margit and her food/restaurant partners went above and beyond. It was such a treat to visit the four special places, sample their delicious food and drink, meet the creators, and soak up history and culture. Margit made the experience so fun and seamless and my kids compared every other guide to her, in terms of whether they were engaging and made the history interesting and relevant. Highly recommend this or any tour with Walk and Eat tour and I can’t wait until we can return and do another.

That was the 1st time my wife and I have ever taken a food tour. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Spain. We had such a wonderful time with our tour guide Irene. She was knowledgeable, easy to talk to, funny, enthusiastic. We learned a lot and the food was fresh and delicious. The time we spend with her just flew by. Thank you so very much for such a wonderful way to get to know the culture, history and the taste of Spain :-)

Wonderful tour. We learned so much not just about food but also about the history of Madrid. We got to sample some really amazing food and toured a great market and some amazing places. Highly recommended. Great for groups, families and couples. We toured with my father in law and we all loved it!

The food tour was really fun and educational. The stops were well organized and the food and beverages were all really good. Our tour guide Theo did an amazing job. We finished the evening happy, full and with a greater understanding of the eating culture of Spain and appreciation of its wines.

My family and I are americans living in Madrid. We did this tour when my inlaws visited Madrid and had the best time. Leire was a fantastic guide, so knowledgeable. The food was fantastic. My inlaws said it was the best thing they did while in Madrid and they attended two Real Madrid games while they were here. Our group of 6 took this Tapas and Wine Experience with our tour guide Irene on October 14, 2023. We absolutely loved our tour guide Irene and every place she took us had incredible food and an amazing atmosphere. We were overjoyed with the amount of food, wine, and Spanish Vermouth we got to try on this tour. Would definitely do this tour again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great night out while in Madrid. We spent our second evening in Madrid with a lovely group of travelers on the De Tapas: An Evening Wine & Tapas Experience with our wonderful guide, Simon. This tour was a Rick Steves recommendation---and we couldn't have been more pleased. We toured a wonderful neighborhood in Madrid and sampled the best of the local cuisine and wine. Simon was very knowledgeable, interesting and fun. We felt like we had truly experienced something truly local. We loved our evening excursion and would take this tour again in a heartbeat.
