Trip with Kathy and Vincente Very good & informative from Kathy who spoke through loud speakers. Safe driving from Vincente šŸ˜ Amazing views and beautiful town of Gualdest with gift shops, we had 2 hours to explore. Then we had 2 hours to explore waterfall and it was 19/20 degrees lovely weather to jump in water. Just the best all day trip! From 10:50-5:10 (about)

We were picked up by our tour guide coach and it was about half an hour journey to visit Guadalest. This is a village that is in the mountains. The village is beautiful and has a good array and selection of shops and restaurants.we sat at the cafe that is across from the car park which was lovely. Due to the location of Guadalest it is very hilly and has stairs but you have plenty of small lovely shops to look around and you can take your time. It is such a picturesque village to visit. We then went to the waterfalls which again is hilly but is very beautiful. If you are planning to go into the various pools/ waterfalls then I would take footwear that you can change into to go into the water due to it being very rocky/slippy. The footwear really helps with this. Nearer the top is a selection of knee deep pools ideal for kids to paddle in with fishes, mid way is some areas supervised to jump into the water from heights. The bottom has the big waterfall but itā€™s a swim to get to through a strong current. Iā€™d certainly recommend taking water shoes as itā€™s not sand in the pools, but stones and bare foot is rather difficult and painful, especially for young ones. There is no where to change. The water is typically about 13-14 degrees. The restaurants here are cooler and cheaper, there are road sellers selling fresh fruit which in the heat was lovely. The bus journey to and from is air conditioned and comfortable. Driver was very patient and took his time especially as there were some very tight windy and bendy roads. Our tour guide was great but sadly could not speak Spanish to the 4 people but we managed to use Google Translate that helped. All in all this was a fantastic trip and I would definitely add it to your list to visit as the views are beautiful.

Louisa was our guide, so friendly and knowledgeable and made our day out so fun and interesting. You could spend another half an hour at least at the first stop, it was beautiful. Well worth the money, would highly recommend it.

I really loved this trip. Our guide Louisa was so friendly and warm and made us laugh with her funny stories. The coach is clean and spacious and picks you up from outside you hotel. Gregory the driver made sure we had a comfortable journey, I was extremely impressed with his mountain driving. By the time we reached our first destination Guadalest, Louisa had given us lots of information about the area, and even though we were warned about the beautiful views I was still blown away by it. The Algar waterfalls were also beautiful. My tip would be to walk all the way down to the right where it is the most peaceful. A great place for sitting and reflecting. This trip is a great way to explore different parts of Alicante. Both destinations are well worth a visit.

WeREALLY enjoyed our day trip to Guadalest and the waterfalls. Picked up by the coach outside the hotel used for the Benidorm TV series! Wilf our tour guide was informative, helpful and friendly throughout. Carlos our driver navigated the winding roads up into the mountains with care. The views were stunning We went to the historic buildings at the peak of Guadalest for the views and to learn some of the history of the area. There were also several museums that you could look round at your leisure - or Wilf offered to take you round on a whistlestop tour of the best bits of whichever ones you fancied. We stopped in a bar near the coach for some refreshingly gorgeous local wine. We then journeyed to the waterfalls - which were clearly popular and a beautiful place to cool off. I would strongly recommend taking beach shoes/sandals as I didnā€™t and the stone is a little rough under foot. We were afforded just enough time to explore both areas on the tour before enjoying the relaxing coach ride to the next point. We opted to end the trip by leaving the coach at the furthest point South which allowed us to explore Playa de Poniente and walk back to our hotel all the way along the gorgeous shore to the old town and beyond. All in all a very memorable day - and we really do thank Wilf for being such a wonderful host! This trip will certainly not disappoint.

Wow. Absolutely beautiful places to visit. The tiny village of Guadaleste is beautiful. There are quaint shops and 3 bizarre museums to visit. One for dolls houses with amazing details, one for miniature sculptures that you have to look at through magnifying glasses... like a flea riding a bike, and one that has millions of salt and pepper shakers in all different shapes and sizes. Not my usual kind of entertainment but so bizarre and not expensive to see. There is a beautiful castle and breathtaking views of the reservoir with its turquoise water. We had 2 hours to explore the village. The journey up was interesting too with a winding road up the Mountain. Algar waterfalls..... just wow. My only recommendation is that you go in take a few photos then walk to the end and put your belongings in the locker then go back and enjoy the river and the breathtaking waterfalls. I would definitely visit again. We almost didn't leave enough time to see the main waterfall as we wereenjoyingthe smaller waterfall and watching brave people jumping in the water from a ledge! Round town travel were very good. The tour guide Lisa was lovely speaking fluently in Spanish and English, very informative and the Driver was fantastic negotiating those winding roads in a massive coach!

We had a wonderful day with Louisa as our tour guide. She told us everything we needed to know - best places to shop, eat, visit down to the littlest detail. And in perfect Spanish and English. A real treat. The only way it could be better would be to book each part separately so as to have more time in each place. I would have liked to have more time to explore Guadalest and also the waterfalls. The water was amazing! Freezing but awesome. It is not very deep so swimming is out but you can take a dip and enjoy the cool water. You certainly need it this time of year!!

Guadalest a must see! We had an amazing time there, beautiful scenery & quirky little museums. Would definitely go again! We had an amazing tour guide Kathy who was very helpful and informative and amazing with my 6 year old niece. Headed down to Algar Waterfalls and it was a lovely experience however not suitable for young children as thereā€™s a lot of steep steps and uneven grounds. Would use Round Town Travel again!

Booked trip to Guadalest and Algar Waterfalls whilst on holiday in Benidorm via Jet2 rep. What a fantastic day. Bus on time with a fabulous Guide called Wilf from Round Town Travel. He was full of knowledge of the area keeping everyone informed during the trip. We had 2 hours in Guadalest and 2 hours at the Algar Waterfalls. Would definitely recommend this trip to anyone thinking about going. Excellent bus driver. The day we visited was Wednesday 2 August 2023. 5 stars from Lorraine and Neil. Thank you for a brilliant day. Loved the stunning views and history of this trip. Thank you.
